A hack with 5 Worlds and 8 Levels in each world! It starts off easy, but gets harder near the end. The scenery graphics are from the game Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

This almost feels like a game that should have happened at some point, grown up Mario in the Yoshi's island art style.
7:57 Yes, there are baby Mario games and adult Mario games, because there are no teenage Mario games.
Just some enemies needs a resprite, and new ost. same for the world map, but it has potential indeed

The Koopa Troopas look so out of place in comparison to all the other enemies like Goombas.
It's a great start. With a lot more polish (more varied level design, more sprites/graphics in the Yoshi Island style, finished world maps etc) this could be legendary.

I’m assuming Mario’s physics are more or less the same as vanilla SMW but the new vibe somehow makes it LOOK like it plays differently

This project is pretty rad, but a snes homebrew mario game with its own original sprites/assets would be bliss
too bad the whole game isn't in Yoshi's Island artstyle, here it just feels unfinished.
Feels like the crossing point between SMW1 and 2... or rather, Super Mario World with an actually consistently good art style.

I love when hacks try to do a new art style but they almost inevitably slip up in some way by using something that clashes with this new art style... and ironically, this time, they sued a Yoshi's Island Art syle, and kept Yoshi in the SMW style. Also the Koopa Troopas.
Hopefully it will be changed in later versions.

I don't like the backgrounds in some overworld levels, pure blue/white etc is not how I usually envision SNES Mario backgrounds
This looks super nice! Could use a bit more polish and more Yoshi's Island-like sprites here and there, but otherwise this is really charming!
Meh, seems like a nice snack when you want more SMW levels. Nothing special in it and there is too much disharmony between the art styles. A Mario remix Ascending the Tower for the final level was good though
Finally an actual sequel to Mario World
Unfortunately it's still tainted for me with the Yoshi's Island vibe. That game disappointed me almost as much as Sonic 3D Blast for Saturn.

We all know why Super Mario Bros 2 was so different - but maybe in homage they made Super Mario World 2 just as obviously different
Would’ve been cool to get an adult Bowser sprite in this art style. It is really cool though

It is a shame Yoshi's egg target ability has not been hacked in yet. Though the entity table is very different in SMW, I've seen some crazy stuff. This will require extensive modding so get with somebody on it, it can't go missing to have this mechanic, or a functional tongue ability to swallow and turn enemies.

The rom hack looks great, but I feel like the visual quality goes before the overall quality on this one.. The levels are alright, although often quite plain. The bosses are just not good enough...

don;t like the mismatch of art styles in places, koopa troopas feel air dropped from SMW in where as the goombas are in a more fitting art style. Mario just looks too goofy for me
Why is Yoshi Mario World 1 sprites in a game designed to look like Yoshi’s Island sprites? It throws me off. I don’t care for it.

...how does it not? It's nearly if not all simply pulled from the first two Mario World games, and this hck is called Super Mario World 3...
My only major dislike of Super Mario World was the terrible lack of powerups. Super Mario 3 had like 8 powerups, the awesome hammer and tanooki suits etc, and then in world they just go back to 2 powerups. World was the perfect time to introduce the ice flower since throwing objects was the way to beat bowser. Luckily there r some modded games for that but still.
A lot of the bosses have the same animation just move left to right and don’t really oppose a threat and seem really easy to beat especially bowser

@@ChavesGibisDublados bruh, I grew up with these games 🤦♂️ SMW2YI never felt like a proper sequel to SMW, but more like it's own thing.
Yoshi's Island is as much a sequel to SMW as Wario Land is to SML2. Meaning:not really. Both are spin-offs using the other name as subtitle for marketing.
