    Here in the US a lot of people buy boxed tuna helper, hamburger helper and stuff like that. Cooking real food like this from scratch is better tasting and more healthy than boxed, it may take a little longer but in reality not that much longer knowing it's better for you. Thank you for making great recipes from basic ingredients that taste delicious. With food becoming more expensive and shortages becoming more apparent these recipes are helping.

      @Fin thedog it was a person from the u.s. who said that and I don't think they were doggin ...just excited to be more creative by using fresh onion and garlic and happy that they could make it. I've come up with my own version of hamburger helpers only because years ago they were much better then they "improved " them and they weren't what we were use to. I no longer bought them. So relax to each his own. 😉

      @Fin thedog FYI: Boxed Tuna Helper (Betty Crocker brand) contains the below ingredients; and there are are no instructions on the manufacturers' site to add onion and garlic. Instead of gatekeeping people trying to learn to cook; why not create your own videos and cooking site as to what you feel is 'cooking from scratch"? Boxed Tuna Helper Ingredients: Enriched Pasta (wheat flour, niacin, ferrous sulfate, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), Corn Starch, Salt. Contains 2% or less of: Vegetable Oil (canola, soybean and/or sunflower oil), Carrots*, Buttermilk*, Monosodium Glutamate, Maltodextrin, Natural Flavor, Monoglycerides, Parsley*, Sodium Phosphate, Yeast Extract, Spice, Silicon Dioxide (anticaking agent). *Dried

    I tried this recipe last night and it was another hit with the family. Super easy to put together and was on the table in no time. Flavor of the dish was outstanding and you really don’t notice the tuna if your on the fence with adding this fish. A definite thumbs up and a dish we will have again.

    The In-Laws have called in unexpectedly. Of course it is almost lunch time so I have to pull something together in a short time. I watched this video earlier and printed off the recipe. The only ingredient I don't have is the Manchego and all of the shops are shut today so I will substitute parmesan. Thanks for such a brilliant, quick and easy recipe that I know will be loaded with great flavour.

    I love your recipes. Can you do a brunch menu? Toast with tomatoes and then an egg dish? I didn't know how simple it was to grate tomatoes instead of putting them in boiling water and chopping them!. A gazpacho recipe would be awesome too. My Spanish friends in Madrid have all their fancy machines to do it. Hope you're feeling better after COVID! X

    Choosing the cheapest ingredients available - cheapest pasta jumped from 49 cents to 99 cents per 500g within the span of a year.
    Regardless, I am making something similar today.
    Glad to see you are not wasting the tuma oil. I am using the olive oil straight from the tuna for sauteeing for simplicity.

    I can't wait to try this! I have to use chicken though, because my daughter is allergic to seafood. Going to serve it up with a nice side salad & perhaps some garlic bread too!     Two things for sure. Kiva sweet smoked paprika is wonderful, and the Golden Saffron is as well. Mixed to the right proportions, the color combination on various dishes is nothing less the stunning, not to mention the flavors.

    Little tip regarding introduction on rising prices. When you add salt to cold water it raises boiling temperature and prolongs the process. Also water boils quicker with lid on the pot. So to save costs always heat water with a lid and add salt to boiling water.

    I love Spain and the cuisine. It totally takes me back to when I live there. Unfortunately so does the tuna that is polluted onto many recipes. I wish I liked tuna, but I can't stand it and how it's incorporated into so many things.

      There are vegan options for cheese and glutenfree for pasta. I do it that way because I can't digest regular pasta and cheese, so I veganize it and it's yummy. Succes👋😀🇳🇱
