  • Come hang out with me, as I prepare the back half of my dentside Ford F150 for a QA1 coilover conversion kit. I'll bring you along as I air hammer rivets out of the frame and remove the rear bumper.

One thing I found helped getting rivets out was to drill out the centers before trying to knock them out. If you do it before trying to knock the heads off with the air chisel it may make that easier as well.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely try this out next time.

The only way to easily deal with frame rivets is a cutting torch. I don't have one, so I feel your pain.

Couple weeks later and my wrists are still vibrating 😂 Thanks for watching!

You have a new follower Cody 😃 I too am in the middle of my first restoration job (79 Bronco). At first I was gonna pass on the old rig, thought it may be too far gone but ended up getting for almost nothing. I’m down to the frame and it’s looks about the same condition as yours (rust/pitted). Will be watching close on how you prep/paint yours. Oh yeah DIGGING your videos!😉

Awesome! I’d love to see some pictures of your build and progress as you go. Do you post to any social media? Thanks so much for watching and the support! I appreciate it!

are you planning on filling some of the Ford swiss cheese, I've never seen so many holes in a frame, it may take a day or so, but I would fill and grind them smooth unless they are needed for brackets you will use

Good eyes! Yes! When I do the frame repairs I’m planning to fill in some of the holes. I was also surprised at how many factory holes were in the frame. It’s aesthetically displeasing 😂
