I love how lowkey, sleek, matt, and professional it looks while sporting powerful specs. I don't want to see any random color led unnecessary lights on my work laptop.
Just purchased this laptop, and though it is claimed to support 2x32GB DDR5 modules at 5200Mhz, the BIOS provides no memory speed controls or XMP options and the system is downclocking my Crucial (Micron) [CT2K32G52C42S5] 5200 64GB kit to 4800Mhz. Hopefully Asus you can provide additional support for more RAM outside of what you ship pre-installed in the laptop. Otherwise, this machine is approaching perfection.
Got this laptop a week ago. It's bricked due to an Asus BIOS update. Stuck on the startup screen with the Asus logo with the words "flash update progress". Poor support from Asus. Got this for work, now without an income for who knows how long.
Does the touchpad have palm rejection while using the stylus on it? Does the pen cause any haptic feedback? Confused about how pad clicks are resolved when the stylus gets involved.
You guys did and measure all this intricate stuff, down to the exact distance between key centers, and still managed to put the two Type-C ports in the worst of all places. Pray tell me who authorized to put these ports *to the front right* so whatever device or cable we insert to these ports can constrict external mouse movement?
I'm seeing lots of negative reviews for the ProArt 16 claiming that the OLED touchscreens are distractingly grainy and have a "mesh screen" effect. They say it's most noticeable in the whites and up close. What's your take on that? Is it a problem at all? Ty!
This laptop sounds too perfect, now if they can fix some of the bugs I've been seeing in a lot of people's other reviews then I'll buy one Hopefully around Christmas time
Older model had a configuration with a Quadro a5000 16GB VRAM. This one has a downgraded a3000 with only 8GB. Please give us a model with the RTX A5000.
Question; 1) Do the keys on the board light up. With challenging eye sight thats important to me. 2 Question: When video editing can I run more than 2 videos lines when editing.? That is the problem with other lap tops. It's slows them down? 3) with your fastest CPU and ram- what is the most cores can I get in this lap top ? Thanks. I'm an artist and I'm also a photographer. And I'm about to venture into the future with a ton of expensive video equipment for studio editing. It's important that I can have a machine that attacks these challenges. Please respond- I'm a Dell XPS user. So I'm considering your company.
I am so interested, I want to buy one now but there is no way I can buy one in europe at the correct price. Why Asus is not coming here. I am in Slovenia but not even in Italy.
Everthing Cool...BUT! I have ONLY 1 question : How long will last the OLED Screen ? very important aspect regarding the high price I should pay for the machine! Cheers and Thanks
I have the Vivobook 16X OLED from last year and started getting burn-in from around 4 months. I don't understand why they make "creator" based laptops with OLED screens when they suffer from burn-in. All the apps I use have some form of menu / panel on the right hand side and / or top that don't "move" much and as "creators" we spend many many hours in front of said apps / software, it doesn't make sense. Running Windows and apps in dark mode (as recommended) is also not such a great idea because I find that very rarely do I have my screen set on anything else other than max brightness to compensate for the dark greys / blacks that OLED's produce which leads to faster burn-in. I would be extremely pissed if I purchased this laptop myself but it was purchased for me in order to carry out work. I hope this helps with your decision. Edit: The Vivobook 16X OLED's and these StudioBook's have the same OLED panels.
@@104-hb5 Thank you man....THIS is the reason I WONT buy it...90 % I wasnt keen to buy it because the OLED panel....which, even if not so quick as you say- 4 months- even in 2 years...is a NO NO busines...The machine should run like 10 years for the amount of money payed...its my business so I dont work for a company who pays...SO! I am using Vivobook Pro 14X for more than a year now, and the OLED display quality is far superior than my previoys IPS display laptops. The new generation OLED laptops does'nt suffers burn in issues
I tested this laptop, hm I'm very pleased, but I'd rather change the oled matrix to a matte one, and also remove the right numeric keypad. There could be more vram in the graphics card.
The numeric is for the 3D user / CAD user. Without it, it will be harder to navigate which will cut off a segment of the buyers. If this didn't have a numeric keypad, I wouldn't consider this at all.
As a photographer, I do wish I could manually adjust screen colours on my ProArt Studiobook to match my print lab. I'm shocked that I've had this for almost a month and still haven't been able to find a way to adjust individual parameters like gamma, contrast, hue, saturation, etc. A great laptop but disappointing that this is so difficult to find. I'm still waiting for Asus support to provide me with an answer. Am I missing something super obvious?
@@nr7645 no I never figured it out and didn't get a helpful response from Asus. They just directed me to their usual tools, which lack this capability. Nice .. I am a long time user of HP Zbook workstations and thinking to switch to this ProArt Studiobook 16 .. but what about the battery life? I heard that it does not last more than 2 hours in normal use which worries me! And why you don't offer silver color version? Black is not my cup of tea!
Hi the video was really exhausting well done! I’m wondering if there will be a configuration upgrade for the 2024 model. I’m thinking about i9 14900hx + rtx 4080. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
I want it as a software engineer, I just like to have an OLED display for the high contrast. So it would be great to get rid of pwm (flickering) as a lot of people's eyes are sensitive to it, or at least make it very high frequency, and not around 240-340 hz as it's currently. Also the brightness needs to be way higher to be able to use it outside, as an example in a cafe with glass windows where the sun will make it annoying to use because it can't get to a high brightness like some IPS displays. And finally, if there's any text clarity/sharpness problems arising from the OLED technology, it should be addressed too.
