Just wanna say I am so enjoying the Angelina journey. I am up in age at 69 seen and heard hundreds of artist, and I just feel so fortunate that God kept me on this earth long enough to be able to witness this beautiful angel. In my lifetime, I’ve never had any artist they could move me time and time again one song after another. I just feel blessed. And God bless Angelina Jordan.

This is a chart topping song and performance that never was. This is what genius level talent looks and sounds like.
Hard to believe that this was a demo tape performed by a ten year old girl (albeit possibly the most remarkable young female singer of jazz, blues, pop and soul the world has yet seen). The maturity of the feelings that she conveys, the emotional intelligence, in some ways even surpass the qualities of her voice. Simply - stunning! And a great reaction from you, Lucie.

She did this when she was ten years old. she added the older photos of herself when she put the video together. She had a popular song writer friend Baby Fuzz wrote the Demo and wasnt sure how to put it together so he sent it to five of his friends, Angelina being one of them. A ten year old kid at the time. He didnt hear nothing back so he released a version of it and Angelinas version got released by mistake with his version. Folks liked Angelinas version better. Angelinas mother didnt want her to release it cuz it had part of the song near the end about suicide. Its one of her best songs IMO . That girl is a Genius !

Angelina is the best of the best. It is almost unbelievable that a 10 year old could sing this song with such emotion. I have been a fan of hers for years and have been fortunate enough to see her in concert 5 times. I also have spent time with Sara & Angelina after three of them. This song was never officially released because Sara thought he suicide theme was inappropriate.
That's what I was thinking for the longest time,,, but I was thinking that her good friend Aviccie committed suicide just before this song,, so that's why I was thinking that not only mom but Angelina herself wanted to change some of the lyrics,,, but they said No so Angelina said NO,,,,

A hallmark in the beginning of a long and storied career ahead. 10 was a big year. Everytime we say Goodbye , rooftop version, she stands right next to Ella Fitzgerald. Ella was The Voice of the century. Angelina is on her way to be that for this century. She is the one to take the American Songbook of standards forward to generations we will never see.
When she's looking at the moon , she's actually talking to the mother ship!
Angelina keeps getting better and better - her voice stronger and deeper, but some songs were just perfection in the voice she had over 7 years ago. This is the best example of this. The interpretation of the story, the expression of emotion. In my view it does not need to be made "better" if we could have this officially released today I would buy it over and over, I would send it to everyone i know, and make new friends so that I can give to them too!
I agree some of the songs she recorded at 10 to 12 years old to me are better than her later covers of the same. Sometimes she doesn't need to slow it down . That being said she is still the greatest singer I've ever heard. !!!

A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. Angelina recorded this demo on January 3, 2017 which was 7 days before her 11th birthday! This great song was written by Baby FuzZ (Brandon Lowry also known as Sterling Fox) who later recorded his own version. We don't know why Angelina's family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a RUclips video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances.
If this video had been released at that time, Miss Angelina´s childhood would have been destroyed. Mr Lowry (Baby Fuzz) might have been angry.

Baby FuzZ and 3 others wrote this song at a Music Camp. He actually performed the “Cover” that Angelina had already recorded on January 3, 2017, at 10. Demo or not, it was published, uploaded, on Nov. 11, 2018. Reportedly, his offical video, published Dec 9, 2018, (about two years later) was met with very little fanfare. Few know the original of Baby Fuzz and I think that if one day this song will be known, it will only be thanks of Angelina's fantastic interpretation of this demo, (you can't call them covers, such personal interpretations) most representative of her musical baggage, she has made a really fantastic version of it, with superb register changes and tone. Angelina is indescribable in this song. Hi Lucie, there are a lot of rumors. Actually, it's her song because she sang it first, but only as a demo. I think it's quite simple, the song would have gone through the roof, and for her 10 years on this song and how she is protected by her family, it would have been too early with the hype that followed, and as has already been mentioned, without a record deal it would have been difficult to release this song and only others would have benefited from it. But that's just a guess on my part

That’s why they leaked the demo, they couldn’t believe it either, and Angelina wasn’t interested in acquiring the rights to the song because she was working on her own original material, “Shield”, at that time.

First time I watched this video I was in emotional shock because of the impact of her voice on me the way she manages to understand and convey despair with her voice at the end of the song is amazing I did not understand how it happened but the effect was very present; what talent what singer and at only 10 and today we think a few years later we will understand better and well no, Angelina is supernatural beyond all mesure in his art.
I have a small handful of songs that i will carry my whole life. This is one of them. As soon as i heard it i struck home. Four years later it has not diminished on bit.

First, I loved your reaction to this song, Lucie. I have been a fan of Angelina for 8 years now, and watching your reaction as I listened to this, I was wiping my eyes the whole time. Yes, this could well be her best, but then there are so many others that I absolutely love that it's difficult to place that title on any single song. All that being said, now I will get some nasty comments for my opinion of recent work by Angelina. I haven't been to any of Angelina's concerts, (I'm not financially able) so I don't know what the sound was like there, but, all the posts I've seen from her last concert in Las Vegas, I have had a really difficult time understanding what she's singing. It has been the same with her cover of "If I Were A Boy". I can understand bits and pieces, but not much else. It's like she's mumbling. To be fair, I'm 70 years old, and maybe my hearing is getting worse, but I don't seem to have a problem with hearing anything else.

There is a video just released of Angelina performing a song called BAD VALENTINE, which is a collaboration with songwriter Toby Gad.
It is an absolute stunner and you can almost trace it's style back to this performance, it's similar in mood. Angelina, being a child prodigy laid the groundwork for her spectacular work now. What a gift to the world of music lovers. Angelina is so special.
Many believe this was a recording, that if it was released, would have 'zoomed' up the charts.
It's unlike anything she had ever done and sounds like an adult, fully seasoned 'Jazz' singer
on a level of excellence that was like the great Billie Holiday, who was Angelina's one and only
true musical mentor. Perhaps her age (10) stopped Mama Sara from going forward with it, or
perhaps it had something to do with the lyrics that talk about a self-induced 'drowning' suicide.

I'm still holding out for you a song written by Brandon Lowry, "also goes by Baby Fuzz," Ronny Janssen and Frida Amundsen went to 10-year-old Angelina with it and Angelina made this audio demo cut. Still, the rumor is Angelina's mother didn't like the ending lyrics referencing suicide and the demo cut was not released. Later the demo was pirated from Angelina, and pictures were added and put online at the same time Baby Fuzz released the song, causing some confusion. Still, rumor has it that all parties agreed to leave Angelina's pirated cut on U-tube. That’s only partially true. The reason it wasn’t released was because Sara knew it would be a huge hit and didn’t want Jordan’s childhood to be completely destroyed. She had already sung about suicide in Gloomy Sunday and that’s not what the lyrics at the end of this song are referring to anyway, according to Baby Fuzz.

Amazingly, this was recorded when she was still 10 yo, just 1 week before she turned 11. For some unknown reason this was never officially released by Angelina, although there is a lot of speculation by her fans who think they know. Maybe we will learn something when Angelina's Mom publishes her book.
AJ apparently once said "Its a demo" when talking about why this wasn't released. Seems like a good explanation, if true!

She is 10 years old in this performance of the song you just heard !!! This is what is even more amazing because singers at the age of 40 do not do such things today !!! A gift from God, I have no other explanation for this !!! It's hard to believe because you haven't seen her sing, so watch her performance of James Brown's song "I feel good" at the age of 9 and maybe you'll understand how at the age of 10 she can sound like that.
