I am going to go out on a limb and say this: There is not another kid that do what this girl does vocally. Like you said in this reaction, there is nothing to critique. At this age she is already performing and singing at a level that most adult singers can not perform, and is better than a good portion of music industry leading vocalists. This girl (Now a young woman) is just on a level that most singers will never reach, even at this age. Please dont misunderstand, I am not trying to put down any artist. Everybody brings something different to the table. She is just so incredibly musical. Her phrasing, sense of time, ability to stay on pitch, the endless amount of different timbers she offers, her riffing, her vibrato. She has a full arsenal of vocal weapons at her disposal that she can go to any time she likes. Its just hard to match. and all this at the age of 10 here, ( oh yeah, lets not forget, she already composes and rewrites covers at this age).. she is just a musical phenom ( So much more than just a singer). A product of an amazing gift combined with years of dedication to her craft and improving her skillset. incredible!!!!
Remember, she won Norway's got talent at 7-8❤ years old. She can do anything. She plays 5 instruments, practices 6 hours every day, and has for very early in her life, and she speaks 4 languages at least knows how to arrange her accompaniment and I think is a gift from God. She is amazingly skilled and sings from the heart.

AJ was asked to make a dem of the lyrics by Baby Fuzz . She came up with this version. He took it and made his version which has Elton John style, kind of. He also gave permission to release this video. However, it is said that she will not sing this song again because of the suicide for love implications. It is not something she wants to promote. For similar reasons she will not sing Gloomy Sunday. With total respect to her choices, I think she gave an amazing performance in this song. Seriously, the way she pronounced the words river, drown and down in the last segment causes you to hold your breath. Simply outstanding.

This song was recorded as a demo but for whatever reason her team did not release it or produce it. It was actually recorded prior to the Baby Fuzz recording, but because Angelina's team didn't produce it, Baby Fuzz went ahead and recorded his own version and released it. Someone in the recording studio leaked this copy and an Angelina fan made the video for it and released it on YT. That is why it says "Leaked" at the beginning of the video. It is absolutely a stellar performance and unbelievably good for a 10 year old.

The best way to describe this vocal performance by Angelina is that it is 'astonishing'! Not quite...I don't think I caught THAT actually if it does.... I'll have to go back and listen but IIRC it was a scream, growl, multiple sliding registers, some raspiness and I don't even remember what else all in one note (like a .5 second or something like that)
One example of her genius on display is her playing with lyrics and pronunciation… she changes the sound of words in priority over pronunciation. For the “I keep holding out for you” line, she turns “I” into “nigh”. The result is the tone is infused with emotion. The sound is what she wants.

I don't believe there has been enough analysis of the Doris Day influence on Angelina. Even their speaking voices sounded like beautiful musical tones which allowed them to move to song effortlessly and record many covers on first attempts.

I think that most of today's reactors have limited knowledge of the heyday of jazz. Current singers who are heavily influenced by jazz, like Amy or Angelina, don't have that limitation; they draw from the whole range without having to commit to a specific artist or song. When Angelina includes a cover of one of the greatest jazz pieces in her repertoire, there is always a mention of which queen or king of old it was by. As for Sarah Vaughan, if I remember correctly, there is only one song (It's Magic) and it was never mentioned that it was hers.

Baby Fuzz was verbally attacked several times because he was allegedly unwilling to change lyrics in order to come to an agreement with Angelina's team so that the song could be released. He said that he never had contact with Angelina or her family. He could have banned the leaked song from YT for copyright reasons, but he didn't. In my opinion, he deserves a lot of thanks for that.

that shreaking violin near the end of the song foreshadows/warns/alarms us that something terrible is coming.... that suicidal declaration is terrible and shocking. No doubt, the possibility of tortured souls being affected by that lyric is the reason why the song was not 'released' by Angelina's fam. It would have been a smash hit on the radio IMHO.

Unbearable pain, overwhelming anguish, profound despair, extreme desperation...all searingly expressed in two words, "drown" and "down", by a 10-year-old who should have no clue what those emotions really feel like...to say that this is merely brilliant, indescribable, incomparable, mind-bending talent would be a massive understatement.
❤️❤️❤️❤️👣 I watched a review of a song by Angelina at 17 or 18 on another channel in which the host remarked that Angelina was really coming into her own at that age. I wrote in the comment section that I believed she was a world class vocalist at 10, 11, or 12. I proposed a thought experiment wherein you imagine that you could take Angelina's mind at one of those young ages an magically place it in her now 18 year old body and give her mind an opportunity to adjust to the new body, then imagine what she would sound like. My point was that even as a very young child she possessed the technique and knowledge to sing on a world class level but that her small body couldn't produce what she heard in her mind. So, following that reasoning it is just the tone, resonances, and pure power that she lacked as a young girl and not the knowledge and technique and therefore she was in fact very much a complete world class singer as a young child. Just my two cents about Angelina as a child vocalist.
How does a 10 year old do this and does it without ever having heard the song performed? In all honesty she was almost 11 (like 7-8 days)! Still the only explanation is A CHILD PRODIGY AND GENOUS, and not just any, but the greatest in modern music history! No one outside the family knows exactly why it was not released (many opinions but that is all they are)! She was apparently sent a demo tape for her to record the vocals!. There were 3 writers including Baby Fuzz (apparently the lead writer) who says he did not send it to her and does not know who did! Apparently it was sent to several artists and no one recorded it. later someone leaked Angelina's recording! No one seems to even know if she returned her recording to who ever had sent it to her. Speculation is one of the writers sent it to her and she returned it to him and later he released it. If she did not return it, someone in her inter circle (Family member?) would have had to be the one who leaked it). One great big mystery! If my time line of events is accurate it was leaked before Baby Fuzz released it. If so her version would not be a cover but the original. Story is, he heard her version and then recorded it himself! And his version went no where! Oh, and one of the few things that is known is that she has stated she will never perform the song again! If she holds to that statement it (in my opinion) will be one of the greatest travesties in the modern history of music!! Thank goodness the family and the writers all seemed to agreed to let the leaked version stay, or the world would never have heard one of the absolute greatest vocal recordings ever made!

This song is perfect for AJ. There is a lot of strong emotion, and she never fails to deliver. Kudos also to Baby Fuzz, he created a strong song! The way the song slowly builds, and ends in that bridge. I can't get enough of it.
A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. Angelina recorded this demo on January 3, 2017 which was 7 days before her 11th birthday! This great song was written by Baby FuzZ (Brandon Lowry also known as Sterling Fox) who later recorded his own version. We don't know why Angelina's family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a RUclips video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances.
Baby Fuzz's co-writers/producers apparently recorded this demo as part of an effort to market it to an 'established' artist. This was recorded before Baby Fuzz's version and he says he hadn't heard it before he recorded his version. It was 'leaked' to Spotify first and the video was fan-made. 😎

The video was released well after she had recorded it, and the person who leaked it to RUclips added pictures of Angelina that were older than her performance. She was still 10 when she made the demo.
One of my faves. Prefer her younger years because of song choices and staying true to jazzy brand and old school music. More present and less concious of focusing so much on image aswell. i liked bad Valentine though. I felt like we got a snippet of her brand again like this song.
They did do it together, Angelina was hired to do the demo to sell the song. After the leak baby fuzz recorded his version to protect his copyright. Neither baby fuz or Angelina's team ever requested the video be taken down. It's a fan favorite that many would like to see released officially/purchased perhaps recorded anew.
Speaking of Angelina's perfect rhythmic timing... One thing I love on certain of her songs is when the piano disappears as she's singing the exact same note at the exact same time. She her AGT performance of Good-Bye Yellow Brick Road as an example.
I believe her mum Sara wouldn't let Angelina release this because of the final lyrics since she was 10 years old. But at any age really it should not be released when it's about Swcide. Although Angelina's version of feeling good was not used for the commercial in the end. Other tidbits of information are that Baby FuzZ did not become Baby FuzZ until he released that album in two thousand eighteen with this version. Many of us believe that Angelina's demo was to see if she could produce a worthy original, but for whatever reason, in the end, they POSSIBLY decided not to take on the song forAngelina to be released. It was either for family reasons or she was too good to be let out as a release at only age 10,.Or maybe there was some shenanigans with Baby FuzZ who MAYBE decided he was not going to let it go after hearing how good she could do it. There's just a lot of speculation and conjecture around this song that no one really knows for sure, Including contract dispute or suggestions that the family thought this song was too intense and it involved themes of suicide... The other fun fact is that Baby FuzZ,the performer, is Brandon Lowrey, who writes under the pen name Sterling Fox. Fox wrote this song with the help of three others at a norwegian song writing camp. Angelina’s mother refused to allow this to be released due to that last part. She didn’t think that a ten year old should be singing about holding her head underwater until she drowns. No one knows who leaked this performance, but I suspect that it was grandma. Really fitting reaction to this, yet another, masterpiece. She is such a magical storyteller and hearing the last half of this song for the first time we are confronted with the vocal image of our princess "holding it down" and that suddenly sends horrific shockwaves through us. The vocal beauty and alarm conveyed is magical. Still one of her top songs in my book.
This is a demo (through some coworkers they shared) for when Baby Fuzz was looking for a singer for his great song. In the end he released the song himself so, a shoutout to Baby Fuzz who is fine with Angelina’s leaked demo on RUclips. No place for hate, myths or controversies.
A true vocal masterpiece. We actually know this demo was recorded 7 days before Angelina's 11th birthday. We don't know exactly why this performance was never officially released. My opinion is Angelina's family didn't want 11 year old Angelina to have the pressure of having a huge hit. Her family has always put her best interests first and they wanted her to have a childhood. We greatly look forward to Sara's book being released and hope she addresses this song.

Whether it was her young age at the time, or the fact that lyrics at the end referred to a 'self induced' drowning suicide that her mom Sara didn't approve of, as to the reason why this masterpiece was never allowed to be released, is something no one really knows........with the exception of Sara who never speaks about it.
Unlike many families, hers always put her having as normal childhood as possible before all else! Many families are driven by the money! Luckily AJ's family are financially secure so she has had the opportunity to move slowly and make correct decisions! I am going to go out on a limb and say this: There is not another kid that do what this girl does vocally. Like you said in this reaction, there is nothing to critique. At this age she is already performing and singing at a level that most adult singers can not perform, and is better than a good portion of music industry leading vocalists.
This girl (Now a young woman) is just on a level that most singers will never reach, even at this age. Please dont misunderstand, I am not trying to put down any artist. Everybody brings something different to the table. She is just so incredibly musical. Her phrasing, sense of time, ability to stay on pitch, the endless amount of different timbers she offers, her riffing, her vibrato. She has a full arsenal of vocal weapons at her disposal that she can go to any time she likes. Its just hard to match. and all this at the age of 10 here, ( oh yeah, lets not forget, she already composes and rewrites covers at this age).. she is just a musical phenom ( So much more than just a singer). A product of an amazing gift combined with years of dedication to her craft and improving her skillset. incredible!!!!

Remember, she won Norway's got talent at 7-8❤ years old. She can do anything. She plays 5 instruments, practices 6 hours every day, and has for very early in her life, and she speaks 4 languages at least knows how to arrange her accompaniment and I think is a gift from God. She is amazingly skilled and sings from the heart.

AJ was asked to make a dem of the lyrics by Baby Fuzz . She came up with this version. He took it and made his version which has Elton John style, kind of. He also gave permission to release this video. However, it is said that she will not sing this song again because of the suicide for love implications. It is not something she wants to promote. For similar reasons she will not sing Gloomy Sunday. With total respect to her choices, I think she gave an amazing performance in this song. Seriously, the way she pronounced the words river, drown and down in the last segment causes you to hold your breath. Simply outstanding.

This song was recorded as a demo but for whatever reason her team did not release it or produce it. It was actually recorded prior to the Baby Fuzz recording, but because Angelina's team didn't produce it, Baby Fuzz went ahead and recorded his own version and released it. Someone in the recording studio leaked this copy and an Angelina fan made the video for it and released it on YT. That is why it says "Leaked" at the beginning of the video. It is absolutely a stellar performance and unbelievably good for a 10 year old.

The best way to describe this vocal performance by Angelina is that it is 'astonishing'! Aron I just realized that when she sings “drown” it sounds like she is underwater and gurgling! Is that what you meant? Unbelievable control! I love it!
Not quite...I don't think I caught THAT actually if it does.... I'll have to go back and listen but IIRC it was a scream, growl, multiple sliding registers, some raspiness and I don't even remember what else all in one note (like a .5 second or something like that)
One example of her genius on display is her playing with lyrics and pronunciation… she changes the sound of words in priority over pronunciation. For the “I keep holding out for you” line, she turns “I” into “nigh”. The result is the tone is infused with emotion. The sound is what she wants.
So many songs at ten showed shes really finding her own voice. The I’m still holding starts with a shrill note thats claims adamant alarm in the lyric. Go find Everytime We Say Goodbye, rooftop, at 10, is her homage to Ella . Another perfect 10 @ 10

AJ: I’ve listened to everything from Whitney Houston to Elvis Presley, Billie Holiday, Doris Day, Frank Sinatra, Adele, Amy Winehouse and Etta James. These artists have inspired me to write my own songs and to bring back that timeless sound into the music that I put out
I don't believe there has been enough analysis of the Doris Day influence on Angelina. Even their speaking voices sounded like beautiful musical tones which allowed them to move to song effortlessly and record many covers on first attempts.
Aron thanks for the heartfelt and beautiful reaction. Few know the original of Baby Fuzz and I think that if one day this song will be known, it will only be thanks of Angelina's fantastic interpretation of this demo, (you can't call them covers, such personal interpretations) most representative of her musical baggage, she has made a really fantastic version of it, with superb register changes and tone. Angelina is indescribable in this song. She always manages to capture the essence of the songs she sings and convey it with overflowing emotion, she always leaves you in love and amazed at what she can do. 🤔 welp guilty! I admittedly haven't heard much Sarah Vaughn. I don't even remember seeing much of her during my jazz studies. Perhaps this is similar for others. But now....you done did it! I'm going to freshen up on Sarah Vaughn so I can hear the influence there!
I think that most of today's reactors have limited knowledge of the heyday of jazz. Current singers who are heavily influenced by jazz, like Amy or Angelina, don't have that limitation; they draw from the whole range without having to commit to a specific artist or song.
When Angelina includes a cover of one of the greatest jazz pieces in her repertoire, there is always a mention of which queen or king of old it was by. As for Sarah Vaughan, if I remember correctly, there is only one song (It's Magic) and it was never mentioned that it was hers.

Brandon Lowry (born November 2, 1983), better known by his stage name Sterling Fox, is a songwriter, record producer and recording artist. He has written and produced multiple #1 songs. In 2018, Lowry retired his Sterling Fox pseudonym and introduced a new project called Baby Fuzz. Baby Fuzz released several singles and music videos in 2018 and 2019 to critical acclaim. In March 2019, Baby Fuzz independently released its debut album Plastic Paradise.
For nearly 10 years, alt-pop songwriter Brandon Lowry penned and produced hits for the likes of Lana Del Rey, Charli XCX, Madonna, and Adam Lambert under his Sterling Fox stage name. Shortly after the 2016 election, however, Lowry did what everyone always threatens to do and moved from his Big Apple home to Montreal, where he began utilizing his already veteran studio skills on his own material.
In an online article from the website Consequence Sound, Baby Fuzz describes how he wrote the song. In the article, "Baby Fuzz details the Origins of new song I m Still Holding Out for You : and how he found his creative spark in Oslo and in the music of Alabama Shakes.
The most interesting information in the article is as follows: "...this song had been completed in 2016 and the idea was to try to give it to a big artist. I had sent it to a myriad of people over the last few years, with no luck. (Angelina was one of these artists) I think it was the music industry s way of telling me I need to start putting out my own songs. Finally, early in 2018, I kind of came to the realization that the demo was pretty strong with my vocal. At the point, I went back in on the production and kind of took it over the finish line. Now I m super happy nobody else took it, because it feels 100% honest to what I was feeling at that time."
In my opinion, Angelina's version gives this song a whole new feel and emotion Baby Fuzz just can't match due to his limited vocals. Plus, Angelina is a great storyteller, which elevates this song to another level.
Baby Fuzz was verbally attacked several times because he was allegedly unwilling to change lyrics in order to come to an agreement with Angelina's team so that the song could be released.
He said that he never had contact with Angelina or her family. He could have banned the leaked song from YT for copyright reasons, but he didn't. In my opinion, he deserves a lot of thanks for that.
I have followed Angelina from the start and this is my best pick at this time. I'm glad you heard Brandon Lowry's version how does Angelina compare? I believe that if it was summitted Angelina would have been awarded the song.

that shreaking violin near the end of the song foreshadows/warns/alarms us that something terrible is coming.... that suicidal declaration is terrible and shocking. No doubt, the possibility of tortured souls being affected by that lyric is the reason why the song was not 'released' by Angelina's fam.

Unbearable pain, overwhelming anguish, profound despair, extreme desperation...all searingly expressed in two words, "drown" and "down", by a 10-year-old who should have no clue what those emotions really feel like...to say that this is merely brilliant, indescribable, incomparable, mind-bending talent would be a massive understatement.
❤️❤️❤️❤️👣 I watched a review of a song by Angelina at 17 or 18 on another channel in which the host remarked that Angelina was really coming into her own at that age. I wrote in the comment section that I believed she was a world class vocalist at 10, 11, or 12. I proposed a thought experiment wherein you imagine that you could take Angelina's mind at one of those young ages an magically place it in her now 18 year old body and give her mind an opportunity to adjust to the new body, then imagine what she would sound like. My point was that even as a very young child she possessed the technique and knowledge to sing on a world class level but that her small body couldn't produce what she heard in her mind. So, following that reasoning it is just the tone, resonances, and pure power that she lacked as a young girl and not the knowledge and technique and therefore she was in fact very much a complete world class singer as a young child. Just my two cents about Angelina as a child vocalist.

How does a 10 year old do this and does it without ever having heard the song performed? In all honesty she was almost 11 (like 7-8 days)! Still the only explanation is A CHILD PRODIGY AND GENOUS, and not just any, but the greatest in modern music history! No one outside the family knows exactly why it was not released (many opinions but that is all they are)! She was apparently sent a demo tape for her to record the vocals!. There were 3 writers including Baby Fuzz (apparently the lead writer) who says he did not send it to her and does not know who did! Apparently it was sent to several artists and no one recorded it. later someone leaked Angelina's recording! No one seems to even know if she returned her recording to who ever had sent it to her. Speculation is one of the writers sent it to her and she returned it to him and later he released it. If she did not return it, someone in her inter circle (Family member?) would have had to be the one who leaked it). One great big mystery! If my time line of events is accurate it was leaked before Baby Fuzz released it. If so her version would not be a cover but the original. Story is, he heard her version and then recorded it himself! And his version went no where! Oh, and one of the few things that is known is that she has stated she will never perform the song again! If she holds to that statement it (in my opinion) will be one of the greatest travesties in the modern history of music!! Thank goodness the family and the writers all seemed to agreed to let the leaked version stay, or the world would never have heard one of the absolute greatest vocal recordings ever made!

A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice. Angelina recorded this demo on January 3, 2017 which was 7 days before her 11th birthday! This great song was written by Baby FuzZ (Brandon Lowry also known as Sterling Fox) who later recorded his own version. We don't know why Angelina's family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a RUclips video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances.

One of my faves. Prefer her younger years because of song choices and staying true to jazzy brand and old school music. More present and less concious of focusing so much on image aswell. i liked bad Valentine though. I felt like we got a snippet of her brand again like this song.
They did do it together, Angelina was hired to do the demo to sell the song. After the leak baby fuzz recorded his version to protect his copyright. Neither baby fuz or Angelina's team ever requested the video be taken down. It's a fan favorite that many would like to see released officially/purchased perhaps recorded anew.
Another never-to-be-missed song by her is "I'd Rather Go Blind" originally by Etta James. AJ is casually sitting on a couch at home at the age of 12.

Speaking of Angelina's perfect rhythmic timing... One thing I love on certain of her songs is when the piano disappears as she's singing the exact same note at the exact same time. She her AGT performance of Good-Bye Yellow Brick Road as an example.
I believe her mum Sara wouldn't let Angelina release this because of the final lyrics since she was 10 years old. But at any age really it should not be released when it's about Swcide. Me personally I don't like when it's being shared and reacted to. But what can I do, it's been leaked. I know now that Angelina would never want to release a track like that since she is now mature. What I do say is, it's a damn good vocal by her, one of the best she had.
In case someone else did not mention it below in the comme nts, I wanted to point out that this "demo"recording [ With apparent polished details , like a finished product.Even with the fake vinyl album crackle at the end] was produced a couple years before Baby Fuzzz rendition that he put out. All details are unknown, but we believe this was.
Produced In this fashion with this approach by the songs co-writer team that was involved with the studio That she was a bit affiliated with as she was working with Avici for a Volvo Commercial with the song "Feeling Good" as Avicii had selected her... Although Angelina's version of feeling good was not used for the commercial in the end.
Other tidbits of information are that Baby FuzZ did not become Baby FuzZ until he released that album in two thousand eighteen with this version. Many of us believe that Angelina's demo was to see if she could produce a worthy original, but for whatever reason, in the end, they POSSIBLY decided not to take on the song forAngelina to be released. It was either for family reasons or she was too good to be let out as a release at only age 10,.Or maybe there was some shenanigans with Baby FuzZ who MAYBE decided he was not going to let it go after hearing how good she could do it. There's just a lot of speculation and conjecture around this song that no one really knows for sure, Including contract dispute or suggestions that the family thought this song was too intense and it involved themes of suicide... Which, IMHO, is BS because the song is more about moving past a bad situation or episode, Kind of like a "born again Baptism" reference as in the old gospel song "Take me to the river" tosss me in the water...
The other fun fact is that Baby FuzZ,the performer, is Brandon Lowrey, who writes under the pen name Sterling Fox. Fox wrote this song with the help of three others at a norwegian song writing camp.
You can Google search this song and Brandon.Then or baby fuzz and read an article about his thoughts on this song and there is some other things... The song is enigmatic. No one has the mystery solved as of yet.
Angelina’s mother refused to allow this to be released due to that last part. She didn’t think that a ten year old should be singing about holding her head underwater until she drowns. No one knows who leaked this performance, but I suspect that it was grandma. She had to know what a stellar performance this was, and it had to be shared with Angelina’s fans Also, who would have had all of those photos? Just saying

Really fitting reaction to this, yet another, masterpiece. She is such a magical storyteller and hearing the last half of this song for the first time we are confronted with the vocal image of our princess "holding it down" and that suddenly sends horrific shockwaves through us. The vocal beauty and alarm conveyed is magical. Still one of her top songs in my book.

This is a demo (through some coworkers they shared) for when Baby Fuzz was looking for a singer for his great song. In the end he released the song himself so, a shoutout to Baby Fuzz who is fine with Angelina’s leaked demo on RUclips.

A true vocal masterpiece. We actually know this demo was recorded 7 days before Angelina's 11th birthday. We don't know exactly why this performance was never officially released. My opinion is Angelina's family didn't want 11 year old Angelina to have the pressure of having a huge hit. Her family has always put her best interests first and they wanted her to have a childhood. We greatly look forward to Sara's book being released and hope she addresses this song.

Why is there any question. She couldn’t release it because she didn’t have the rights to the song, and she didn’t acquire the rights to the song. This is just a demo, and its intended purpose is to interest an artist to acquire the rights and release the song. What ever the reason that Angelina did not acquire the rights is moot, she was working on her own original “Shield” at that time!

No, I’m talking about why Angelina took down the audio recording of “I’m Holding On To You” shortly after she had posted it. This was the audio that we all listen to today, recorded by the creator of the video who wisely recorded the audio. Otherwise, this performance would never have seen the light of day.
There are many rumors why she took down her audio recording and none of of them hold any truth. It is, and will remain a mystery.

If a composer calculates royalties generated without THEM even working at all - giving the song to others to perform... well, I just think THIS would have been a HUGE HIT and a huge revenue generator.

Unlike many families, hers always put her having as normal childhood as possible before all else! Many families are driven by the money! Luckily AJ's family are financially secure so she has had the opportunity to move slowly and make correct decisions!
