The church version is close to perfection. It always moves me the way she can bring you down from her powerful belting voice--and like a tuft of down just floats it down to the voice tapering to nothing. Best runs in the biz.

They’ve released another version still of apparently a rehearsal in the church with Angelina singing a cappella the first part and hearing the reverb from the rafters! A must see and hear!

Thank you Sebs for getting to my request so quickly from your livestream. And wow! What great timing. When Angelina has dropped her Official Music Video. And then the one I requested, which I believe is the best of several performances. A two for one. How great is that?
This is really huge for Angelina I believe. Toby Gad is a Hit writer, multi Grammy winner and producer. Piano Diaries is a reimagining of 8 of his songs I believe. He chose Angelia for 'his reimagining' of this song. Toby and Angelina are working together an new material and She has already performed but not released another song called 'Bad Valentine' and there are hints they are working on an Album. Fingers crossed. I try to remember to let you know when something dropped. Sounded like it could be several months. We are all waiting for more.
I really believe Angelina is at the very precipice of her explosion on the worlds Music Scene! We are getting to watch it in real time unlike for most of us as we missed her first on a smaller though still global stage in Norway's Got Talent. All of us as fans have been able to go back and watch her grow up with the voluminous videos of her growth as both an artist, singer and beautiful human being with the heart of a lion.

Welcome back to Angelina, Sebs! Great double header! If you want to go back a bit, I recommend AJ's Suspicious Minds cover and her original Now I'm the Fool off her Old Enough EP. AJ also did an updated cover of I Have Nothing (Whitney Houston), a song you did a reaction to when AJ was younger. And of course, her Las Vegas concert has lots of very good fan produced content to check out.
Sebs, Both covers of this are glorious but like you I prefer the stripped down version Piano Diaries. That version has no distractions and lets her voice absolutely shine. Thanks to Toby for asking her to sing this cover of his song for his Piano Diaries album. Toby is quoted saying, “Working with Angelina has been nothing short of inspiring. Her ability to channel profound emotion through her voice adds a whole new depth to the song.” They are also working on other songs for AJ. This will be huge for her.
I have just finished going through your AJ playlist again and I see you have missed one of Angelina's most impressive songs. I recommend you listen to Unchained Melody Noble Peace Prize released in Dec 2023. It is beautiful music and definitely in my current top 5 Angelina songs - this could very easily change going forward because just like all AJ Angels, very often the next is the best yet.
Ya, the church version drops the drums and finger-snapping, making you listen to the words-very powerful stuff. Actually, I think Angelina is at her best with just two instruments. Piano and a Guitar or, in this case, Piano and Chello{whoever came up with the Chello is a genius)

Narges has been *separated from her children,* a twin boy and girl, for *nine YEARS* while serving time in an Iranian prison for protesting human rights violations by the government of Iran.
There is so much to understand about Narges’ plight and it is all presented beautifully and succinctly by James in this masterpiece video.

Toby Gad is a multi Grammy award winning songwriter and producer. He has worked with many of the biggest superstars in the music industry producing award-winning hits. He is currently in process of producing an album of his top eight songs called Piano Diaries. He invited Angelina to perform this song with him at piano, which was originally made famous by Beyoncé in 2008, and has received over 600 million views. Most believe this version is much more touching and emotional, and Angelina has made it hers. Move over Beyoncé! Toby and Angelina are working on some original music coming in the next few months, possibly as an album. He is very influential in the industry and this undoubtedly is a huge break for Angelina.

Sebs, thanks for tackling BOTH the music vid and the session with songwriter at piano. I'd actually like to hear her collaborate with Keith Urban on an AJ-version/arrangement of his hit 'Stupid Boy' with his guitar work and vocals too. I know, everyone thinks he's 'just' Country...but I don't agree. That man's a MUSICIAN and singer, and songwriter, and a GREAT collaborator. I really think their voices together on his song would be truly exceptional, and I suspect her re-arrangement would be EPIC. And we'd get to hear him do an even BETTER guitar solo, since he clearly feeds of the magic of his collaborations with others.
This song side A that song side B. Quadruple platinum I'll bet. There's a LOT of young (and older) women out there who've been frustrated, disheartened, and more than a tad upset at just how many of us Stupid Boys they've run into as they continue to hope to make the life they deserve and to truly thrive. Quadruple Platinum. I'll bet my full one dollar limit.

Just to let you know, the other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song as well as the person the song came from. She had just broken with the man that she loved. Per Toby, they played it for Beyonce one day and she really wanted to sing and use this song, and the rest you say is history. Angelina and Toby have been working together for a while now and are creating new music for her to sing. They teased a song at a special event called Bad Valentine and it should be coming out within a few months. This collaboration is awesome! The Piano Diaries is Toby's project of other singers singing his most famous songs. Angelina of course is singing this song made famous by Beyonce. Toby actually directed and produced the first video you watched.

Those us that love Agelina's voice, prefer a basic or acoustic performance to enjoy her voice. But I understand that to grow in this industry she need to do more pop style versions. At least, by now, she do both and we can enjoy her wonderful voice in more purer way.
