The earlier scene in the war room, with Chancellor Hausmann, is very strong. This one, on the other hand, is so weird. Especially because of Eichmann's incredibly weird German accent. There's so many better actors for that role, also because the guy is nothing like the actual Adolf Eichmann. Himmler is very well casted, on the other hand. His German is on point. Eichmann sounds like thirty minutes before filming someone told him he was playing a German.

This is really the scene that shows that the end of the show was not planned this way: Episode 9 Smith: Criticising the plans to just bomb the cities. Episode 10 Smith: Bombing the cities. Like why? Was he that afraid of Goertzmann? But Goertzmann supported his ideas as he said himself. Why would they still go with the whole bombing plan?

I like how they are planning an invasion based on 1939 methodologies in the early 1960s. First, there would be no aerial assaults like they mention as by that point, a few precision bombers, or missiles, could accomplish what 500 WW2 bombers could have done. Second, panzer (tank) assaults were unnecessary as large-scale assaults were gone by then. Essentially this type of attack would have been just as effective as the Maginot Life was in defending France in 1940, as it was based on WW1 warfare.

Okay so it seems like a lot of people are confused by the actor who portrayed adolf eichmann. Timothy V. Murphy is an Irish actor- a bloody good one if you need someone to portray an enforcer or an "alpha" role. Him being Irish explains why his accent is off Though being friends with an Eastern German Austrian, he does kind of sound close to Austrian (which Adolf Eichmann was). Though not really, because the actor is Irish.
Uh... no, just no. This is an American of Irish background, speaking phonetically written stage-German words in English. ASG, Austrian-German is flatter, quicker, more literal. Shares more commonalities with Dutch. (both are closer to Middle High German, than the German language is) You can tell around 0:56 because Murphy can't separate an S and Z that close to eachother in a sentence: sein zimmer, which Murphy makes into 'tsein tsimmer' while it should be 'ssein tsimmer'. English doesn't have such 'tongue arched, tongue flat' transitions, so he can't immitate it. Later on 1:11 he fails to make a K for 'kritische' and just turns it into an English C. ASG is nearly identical to German in that sound, but ASG tends to 'dip' the K slightly less deep. So once again if you want to immitate ASG, a Dutch K is a good alternative because that one's also less deep than the German K is. But if you can't make either, english's C's it is. Seconds later you can tell he's purely an English speaker because 'ausschalten' fails quite hard, since English has no S-S transitions in it. While the proper way to do that is to start high, then dip it into -ch, which is how the two S's are different.

ASG, Austrian-German is flatter, quicker, more literal. Shares more commonalities with Dutch. (both are closer to Middle High German, than the German language is)
You can tell around 0:56 because Murphy can't separate an S and Z that close to eachother in a sentence: sein zimmer, which Murphy makes into 'tsein tsimmer' while it should be 'ssein tsimmer'. English doesn't have such 'tongue arched, tongue flat' transitions, so he can't immitate it.
Later on 1:11 he fails to make a K for 'kritische' and just turns it into an English C. ASG is nearly identical to German in that sound, but ASG tends to 'dip' the K slightly less deep. So once again if you want to immitate ASG, a Dutch K is a good alternative because that one's also less deep than the German K is. But if you can't make either, english's C's it is.
Seconds later you can tell he's purely an English speaker because 'ausschalten' fails quite hard, since English has no S-S transitions in it. While the proper way to do that is to start high, then dip it into -ch, which is how the two S's are different.
