    Etsy will remove the 1 star review as it was the customer's error. I would not send out another order for free. It was the customer's error.!! I would offer a discounted rate and mail to the proper address if this is what the customer chooses. Loved this video!!

    It’s difficult when a customer complains about something that was their fault not yours. As they haven’t been nice and left a bad review for you I definitely wouldn’t send out more products to them, it would be like admitting they were right (which they are not). I doubt they would treat a big retailer this way if the same thing happened and a big retailer definitely wouldn’t send them stuff for their error. Keep your chin up your doing fab!

      They sound a bit dodgy to me. I definitely wouldn't send another if they have been so rude. They really should have waited to see if they could get it resolved before leaving a bad review...Big hugs my lovely..xx

    Don't send another one it's not your fault and I would actually ring Etsy. As it's the Customers fault they will get rid of the one star review.
    This happened to me.

      This^ - Who is to say that this isn't a scam they run but sending stuff "by accident" to a friend or families address so they get 2 for the price of 1.

    Could you do a video covering the monthly cost of running a business, ie: cost of monthly costs like software use, apps, materials. And then maybe cover how to transition to being self employed? Something I worry about in my first year as I am a parent living alone I feel more pressure for my small people 😅😊 thank you! I am researching what I can but it’s something I think would help people in their decision to go self employed

    Your new catalogue looks wonderful! The lay out is so beautiful and it perfectly reflects your brand style.
    So sorry it's been such a challenging week, it's so frustrating when it seems to one issue after another. I've had a similar situation with the address issue, It seems that Etsy are willing to take more action when you get given an unfair review that doesn't reflect your service. *fingers crossed* they sort it out and do the right thing.
    It's amazing seeing all your beautiful work, going to treat myself to the small business box for Christmas ^.^ I LOVE it! Xx Mandy xX

      Thank you so much for your kind words! Etsy ended up refunding the buyer on their behalf (not from my account), so I guess it was a win win for both me and the buyer?!     I absolutely hate the whole push for free shipping. As in the UK we aren’t actually allowed to add the cost of postage to the product price. It needs to be taken from your profits. That’s why all the big companies have a higher limit as they have 70% mark up on their items, so the higher limit means there will be more than one item included so less of a profit loss. It’s all these American companies trying to push it here. And they have so many people doing it as they don’t realise they aren’t allowed to

    Yeah, retail/galleries can be a tough gig. My average shipping cost is $350-1500 US Dollars for the bulk of my work (my hand painted, hand crafted glass chandeliers)...and that can be a killer for a sale so I build that into my price. But now think about how that works...when I sell through art galleries, everything they sell I then need to ship them more (so that upfront cost I never reclaim) and then the split is still 50%. No matter what you sell, even if you sell at high prices (as my standard painted chandelier cost thousands) it's always a tough split with retail. And to top it off, we're surrounded by a culture of people trying to scale up their businesses to make more...and when you make a physical product, a lot more goes into it and it can be very difficult to raise prices successfully...and we're in a world where fabricating/making physical things also costs a lot more to do since the pandemic started. So totally, I hear you on this!
    For the Etsy client, it would be a small thing to just re-send and ask (ever so kindly) for an updated review. Whatever happened there...who knows, shipping has been very bad here in the US so it's possible she never received and that what you sent is lost out there. I had checks from galleries go lost last year and products that I use in my business go lost. Shipping was really bad last year in general.

    Can I ask, I know the max size Cricut can print is usually 6.75x9.25 in and your purple print there, do they roughly come out as a 6x4/7x5? If you want to create larger items would you skip Cricut and cut them yourself? Thanks! New to this

    Please don't send another one out. Contact etsy, this is the buyers mistake, not yours. And etsy should actually remove that review as well. Hope you get it all sorted 💜

      They did in the end! :D They refunded the buyer out of their own pockets so it didn't affect me. However the review is still up but I'm way past letting it affect me negatively anymore haha. Thank you so much xxx

    what platform do you prefer to sell on I'm a fairly new seller of handmade papercrafts I sell only on etsy but mainly to friends and family I don't get many sales on etsy I did leave my shop empty for a long time but now I'm due to have my second baby any time and now I really want to push my shop out and give it a proper go at working my own business from home

    I always smile when you mention that shipping is expensive, while in Canada within my province I have to pay around $15, and to ship across the country costs $20 😂

      I use a shipping partner to minimize the cost, so with them it costs me less to ship to USA than to Canada! From Canada 😂

      @@CoconuTacha yep it is a vicious circle unfortunately! Stores that have large volume of shipments get some discounts, but still shipping is expensive. And I bet by doing more online shopping we cause companies to raise their base prices in the stores, so they don't lose money by offering us "free shipping". :)

    thank you for sharing your experience, i wouldn't send another pack either. not saying your customer did this, but there is a possibility that the address belongs to someone he/she knows and she just trying to get another package for free. hope that is not the case and that this will all be sorted out eventually. keep it up!

    100% don't send her another one as it wasn't your fault at all. It's a shame that the customer left a bad review despite it being their fault. So long as you don't respond to the negative review Etsy should remove it as the issue was due to something out of your control.

    Don't send another one. Like you said it's her own faulth. If it comes back you can say you send it again other than that there is nothing you can do about it.

    Refund the money and don’t send anything, that will wipe the bad review. You don’t want to deal with those type of customers
