Look at the power light. It is giving you a 2,4 code. That is a RAM failure. (See the M16 R1 Service Manual, p 86.)

It's one of two things. Either it's the fact that you neglected to remove the battery cable before removing the memory, or that particular memory isn't compatible for whatever reason, but Ide be willing to bet it's the first one. Nice way to fry a main board as well. I upgraded the memory on a vostro not too long ago, and forgot to unplug the battery cable. It did this exact same thing. I removed it, put the old memory back in, powered it to clear the error, and then powered it off. I then removed the battery cable, held the power button down for 30 seconds to drain the system and then installed the new memory. It came up, cycled twice and then into the bios to inform me that the configuration had changed.

Hold the power button down for 20 seconds to clear CMOS it should fix your issue with the memory.

How much longer did you wait after the video cut out???? Looking at the time line the video stopped 38 seconds after computer shut off and started again…. I upgraded to a 990 pro 1 tb and put 64 gb of Kingston impact 5600 but only runs at 5200. But anyways I had a panic attack too… mine took around 4 minutes or soo to boot. It did a cycle of lights all the way till it powered off and turned on again (that was at-least 2 total minutes like your video) and then took another two minutes or so and then booted on.. I would try again and give it more time. I was panicked until I watched another RUclipsr give it 4 or 5 minutes in his videos and eventually it booted. Mine did the same thing and I mean at least 4 minutes total of what you showed until it worked, at least. I would estimated 4-6 total minutes

Put the old ram back in. For troubleshooting purposes it can help identify whether or not the problem is isolated to the new ram

Think on Dell and could be wrong it is best to unplug the battery flip it over and press the power button for 30 or 45 seconds (cant remember which) to clear the Cmos and system thus should fix this again if it is the same with dell

On the cofigure page it want XMP.
    Also is it ECC.
It looks like you need to get the right RAM for it.

bro don't waste your time; this guy didn't even disconnect the battery before tinkering with his ram. He shouldn't be allowed near a computer ever again.

Bottom cover and top cover is metal. The small back portion where exhausts are is plastic. The Palm rest/keyboard is plastic with some time of rubber coating to give it a nice feel.

While it may look that way, RAM is not symmetrically designed, so it's impossible to install backwards/upsidedown .
