The fish on the main lake are usually better quality but harder to catch. I typically only fish that canal in January and February because I want to punch in that stuff and I like to set the hook! Ha ha
@@hunterpratt5899 I heard that. I like the canal as well when it's on of course. We are heading to False river in April. I'll have plenty of time to figure out the main lake bite before then. Tight lines!

Went to false today 2-25-23, and it kicked my ass again! Launched at morels and didnt get a bite. Fishing docks and walls on the main lake 😔
False River can definitely be a humbling place.

Fished yesterday and today at false river, fishing the rocks, docks, tree lines. Caught two bass and a catfish. So difficult
