“Influencers” are quickly becoming whiny babies and the Fishing RUclipsr trend is on a downwards slope. The reason they have reduced the pro staff is they really aren’t worth the cost. Exceptions being Chris Zaldain. He has a huge social presence and he knows swimbaits backwards and forwards.
90% of ALL baits look similar because they’re all made in China. The hangover does have shitty action. I mean it has to be reeled at a very specific speed therefore its shit because i get half my bites in the pause or burn on a retrieve.

Never considered googan lures. The corky names and over the top colors/designs dont appeal to me. After this video i think i will steer cleer forever. Terrible business video.
Bringing zaldain in for this is comical, he is out following around Josh jones all over Texas, JJ is a 6th sense guy, Rob tried to make a go of it couldn’t. Now has to go back to the drawing board for failing to cut it trying to qualify, maybe Ben’s Career goes nowhere but it’s gotten farther than Robs already, I have some hogan stuff I have some 6th sense stuff, one brand is better no doubt
My success fishing tournaments has little to no impact on m career as a whole. Tournament fishing doesn't move the needle like everyone thinks. It makes up 5% of the total sales in this industry. Now go back to the drawing boars with that figure in mind.
It has everything to do with pride tho and achieving what you were trying to do, now you have nothing left to do but focus on the 95% of what you think is important, you should stop making clickbaits btw they are complete trash

All of the 12 year old kids must have stopped buying all of the googan stuff so he had to make a video about how there stuff is so much better and “different”. But this is also the guy that fished on the NPFL for one year and absolutely got his teeth kicked in with his own bait company so he no longer wants to fish at a “ high level”. Sounds like he needs to get back to buying storage units!
When all is said and done, people just need to realize that all these baits are simply tools we have to fall back on. Being brand loyal to one specific company will only hurt yourself if you are a tournament angler. Ask any pro. Sure they are sponsored and those are the baits they talk about but its the baits they buy and have found, Custom baits especially, that they will not talk about. It is no different than someone using a lowes or walmart home brand too vs say a Dewalt or Milwaukee. Its all in when and where you use the tool. Most baits cant be patented so even if they do copy each other, thats sadly the industry we are in. No body said it was right but it is the truth. I wish we could put more towards growing the sport in a positive way rather than dividing it even further
Just take me back to the MTB house and all the good content. All this is for the birds. Great marketing and you all being likeable people with a lot of fans for years, including me, is what sold baits. I personally am not a fan of the baits. But the marketing was/is genius. When I first got into bass fishing, I thought Googan and 6th were awesome. 6th had the upper hand to me based on how they looked and Googan looked like preschooler toys as I got more familiar with baits. JDM is the absolute best by far! It’s not even close and both 6th and Googan are garbo
I'm a fan of the both of you. Good to know that the both of you were using the same factory. In regards to the hangover bait, it needs to be reeled at a specific speed for it to swing right - as with many baits. Simply moving it back in forth in a bathtub will not show how it swims when reeled properly.
It's a copout excuse for a bait not performing right, the real reason is the bait needs belly weighting to counteract the weight of the treble hook up top. It's the top heaviness caused by the treble that makes it what to roll, it's not a unique flaw of this bait.

@@Drezzy2 yes, I have watched it and it's still just an excuse for poor lure design. Had it had the correct belly weight to counteract the top heavy nature of putting a treble hook on top, that wouldn't happen and you wouldn't need to retrieve at a specific speed. I know this from experience, not just believing what someone who has something to gain from selling you the lures says. Just look at all the top hook swimbaits out there that don't need a specific retrieve speed, that's because they're correctly weighted. Stick a sufficient treble on the underside where it has an attachment to do so and I can almost guarantee that need for a specific retrieve disappears.

I have never bought any or will. Zoom is by far a superior bait. Something my mom taught me a fool and their money are soon departed. If I see a googan package in your boat that definitely tells me how broke they are.

I used to like Googan products especially the frog, however that was a few years ago and I just feel like their tackle, rods (overpriced and their are much better out there), and reels are just crap now. I do not use 6th sense ether (outside of the Pigpatroltv rod to support him nice catfish rod), Strike king and other brands are just better without a childish owner dressing as a fake scientist hashing up drama from 3 years ago from a pro who can actually out fish anyone at Googan. Please Lunker get a life is this is just childish.
The bandito bug is a great creature bait, and the krackin craw is pretty good. The slim shake is OK but every other googan bait I've tried sucks. And my god their fluke is abysmal. I've tried a few of their hard baits and not impressed.
I started using googan before I ever knew of the youtubers. I basically only use their soft plastics. In my area, they are unmatched, I don't understand why they get so much hate, other than the fact people are mad that they're popular 😂😂
@austinb1800 cheap plastic. Tear easily. Only get 8 in a pack, they spend more money on packaging when they could spend that on plastic quality. Their best soft baits use Strike Kings rage tail. Googan RUclipsrs are mostly all the same channel. They do store challenges where 95% of time they fish with same Googan rods. They fish for less than half the video a lot of the time. A lot of Googan Squad has left the company, probably bc they find it way too limiting in terms of gear and lures they can use and all the requirements.

Other then the big 6 in the industry. The rest like Googans, 6th sense, Kastking are shit off the shelf chinese same factory lures, rods and reels. I have bought some amazon specials that out perform googans and 6 sense lures. It is what it is. Simply put, brands like Googan, 6th sense, and kast king don't have the money or budgets to compare what the big 6 have. These trashing vids are all about marketing and publicity because these brands don't have the marketing budget to go through the proper marketing channels. I have a shit load of googan hardbaits and plastics for the sole reason that I got each of them for 1 to 2 dollars Canadian at a Walmart merch liquidation center.

My success fishing tournaments has little to no impact on m career as a whole. Tournament fishing doesn't move the needle like everyone thinks. It makes up 5% of the total sales in this industry. Now go back to the drawing boars with that figure in mind.

When all is said and done, people just need to realize that all these baits are simply tools we have to fall back on. Being brand loyal to one specific company will only hurt yourself if you are a tournament angler. Ask any pro. Sure they are sponsored and those are the baits they talk about but its the baits they buy and have found, Custom baits especially, that they will not talk about. It is no different than someone using a lowes or walmart home brand too vs say a Dewalt or Milwaukee. Its all in when and where you use the tool. Most baits cant be patented so even if they do copy each other, thats sadly the industry we are in. No body said it was right but it is the truth. I wish we could put more towards growing the sport in a positive way rather than dividing it even further

I'm a fan of the both of you. Good to know that the both of you were using the same factory. In regards to the hangover bait, it needs to be reeled at a specific speed for it to swing right - as with many baits. Simply moving it back in forth in a bathtub will not show how it swims when reeled properly.
It's a copout excuse for a bait not performing right, the real reason is the bait needs belly weighting to counteract the weight of the treble hook up top. It's the top heaviness caused by the treble that makes it what to roll, it's not a unique flaw of this bait.

@@Drezzy2 yes, I have watched it and it's still just an excuse for poor lure design. Had it had the correct belly weight to counteract the top heavy nature of putting a treble hook on top, that wouldn't happen and you wouldn't need to retrieve at a specific speed.
I know this from experience, not just believing what someone who has something to gain from selling you the lures says.
Just look at all the top hook swimbaits out there that don't need a specific retrieve speed, that's because they're correctly weighted.
Stick a sufficient treble on the underside where it has an attachment to do so and I can almost guarantee that need for a specific retrieve disappears.

I used to like Googan products especially the frog, however that was a few years ago and I just feel like their tackle, rods (overpriced and their are much better out there), and reels are just crap now. I do not use 6th sense ether (outside of the Pigpatroltv rod to support him nice catfish rod), Strike king and other brands are just better without a childish owner dressing as a fake scientist hashing up drama from 3 years ago from a pro who can actually out fish anyone at Googan. The bandito bug is a great creature bait, and the krackin craw is pretty good. The slim shake is OK but every other googan bait I've tried sucks. And my god their fluke is abysmal. I've tried a few of their hard baits and not impressed.
I started using googan before I ever knew of the youtubers. I basically only use their soft plastics. In my area, they are unmatched, I don't understand why they get so much hate, other than the fact people are mad that they're popular 😂😂
@austinb1800 cheap plastic. Tear easily. Only get 8 in a pack, they spend more money on packaging when they could spend that on plastic quality. Their best soft baits use Strike Kings rage tail. Googan RUclipsrs are mostly all the same channel. They do store challenges where 95% of time they fish with same Googan rods. They fish for less than half the video a lot of the time. A lot of Googan Squad has left the company, probably bc they find it way too limiting in terms of gear and lures they can use and all the requirements.
I would like to Googan’s next step be bringing the manufacturing to the USA.
Better be ready to pony up more money to support them
