Bill never played fenders. Schechter (sub brand, forget the name) white super strat, then Ibanez, then Gibson LPJ’s and Melody makers in firebird, Les Pauls when Carcass came back with the occasional ESP eclipse and Gibson melody maker spotted, and now he’s running custom 60’s melody maker(s) with two humbuckers after having back issues playing Les Paul Customs.
i think it's freakin' awesome! you have the studio version for a perfect mix. you would have never heard the bass line so clearly if it wasn't for this one.
I like it how at festivals it doesnt pick up good on the sound mixer and ya hear bass so loud for a little bit reunion tour was great I thought before Bill and Jeff decided to keep this alive for the fans
@Blargaha Yeah, it's blasting a bit more than I'd expect. But I'm glad to hear that, as opposed to the norm. (In this case being a bass to quiet to hear.)
That bass does sound fucking good I wish I would have done that like that on the album all their albums kind of reminds me of Steve Harris praying for Iron Maiden you listen to Maidens music you can hear that bass
Bill in an interview says he cannot tell the tone live in festivals so he just plays. Happens in their 2015 Motocultor concerts too his amp gives out till his tech fixes it. Same in Gods of Grind.
@zachgilm Meh. Being a bassist, I'm always in favor of cranking it. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's drowning them out, but it is a bit overbearing.
" Following the recent cancellation of Mastodon's European tour dates as a result of guitarist Bill Kelleher being diagnosed with pancreatitus, the organisers of Belgium's Graspop Metal Meeting festival has announced that their place will be taken by legendary British grindcore/death metal outfit Carcass. The festival will be taking place in the town of Dessel between June 25th - June 27th. "
If anyone ever wanted to learn the basslines for Carcass songs, this festival's videos would be the collection to do it.
Hahaha...yeah but what a fortunate probable mishap at the soundcheck xD
@@Talos827 TBF it's only a fortunate mishap when you're focusing on the bass, the overall mix is impressively SHITE.
I like how Bill rarely uses guitars that are metal oriented....He's all about Gibsons and Fenders.
In his early years of Carcass he used Ibanez :)
You can play metal on any guitar. Instrument does not determines the music style...
Gibson ain’t metal???

I love the sound of the bass!!!
1200$ signature. If I didnt already have a nice fender I'd buy it
"We do apologize. We're not Mastodon." Now that's funny!
Came for the live performance,
staying for the killer bass sound
👏👏👏
Jeff Walker forever!!!
My favorite Carcass song. Sounds so good Live
This album had a lot of Maiden influence on it, I think that is why it was always my favorite!
I am glad it wasn't Mastodon. Hail Carcass!
Bass is hearable:O
i think it's freakin' awesome!
you have the studio version for a perfect mix.
you would have never heard the bass line so clearly if it wasn't for this one.
The drummer miss the music tempo in the middle of the song - 3:37. But, is great to see Amott playing in Carcass.
I was there. Good memories. Jeff's humble and funny attitude endeared me to the band. The music was good too, of course.
Genital Grinder (intro) from the first album Reek of Putrefacion
It wasn't reek of purification was the first time it was Black Star how I know because I've got it copied on disc
Bill Cummins what? Can you rip and upload it?
Its a Fernandes, its his signature bass. They finally released it this year
Just love it, and the sound of the bass is awesome carcass forever (fav álbum SWANSONG)
That sounds remind me Carcass 20 years ago on a rehearsal room
Now i can write the bass tab... Thanks for the upload
NEED MORE BASS!
This Carcass sounds like CarBass hahaha
You have to keep in mind that this can sound completely different live in the open, where it can be completely different because of the location...
Just like songs from other bands 😅
SIIIIIICK THE OPENING IS GENITAL GRINDER!!!!!!!!!
The production of this is very bass guitar heavy.
AMAZING!
Как в 93 так и сейчас -SUPER!!!!!!!!!!
Love how they have the bass up...
Good to know i'm not the only one who felt it.
I like it how at festivals it doesnt pick up good on the sound mixer and ya hear bass so loud for a little bit reunion tour was great I thought before Bill and Jeff decided to keep this alive for the fans
yeah, he actually looks like a 70's fugitive
Hate it when you cant hear the bass...
Demais, eternos, os melhores com certeza.
it is the video, i was there and the bass was not louder than de guitars. But the sound was too loud omg >_< And Mikael had a problem with his guitar
The Bass is louder than the guitar. Well that's new.
Yes, indeed and I love it.
HAHAHA we're fom england ......... and sweden
fucking AWESOME band !!
awesome
@Blargaha Yeah, it's blasting a bit more than I'd expect. But I'm glad to hear that, as opposed to the norm. (In this case being a bass to quiet to hear.)
I never thought I'd say this after the whole "And justice for all..." thing but turn the bass down a little, no? :D
The drummer miss the music tempo in the middle of the song. But, is great to see Amott playing in Carcass.
I think the recorder only gained sound from Jeff Walker's monitor speaker. Lol~
came from 2021 to see to ultimate bass sound
Graspop 2013 I'm coming!!!!
The levels are all over the place in this video
and I love it!
Bass is life
I am enjoying the bass.more vids would be nice with bass being louder.
bolt thrower being one.
@xLongLiveMetalx I think it's very nice that they used such a heavy bass, but I was a bit surprised first:)
Super
Song name : THIS MORTAL BASS
That bass does sound fucking good I wish I would have done that like that on the album all their albums kind of reminds me of Steve Harris praying for Iron Maiden you listen to Maidens music you can hear that bass
After all this time, I’m still surprised Bill used that clean of a tone. It does not work for him here when they were just starting to play live again
Bill in an interview says he cannot tell the tone live in festivals so he just plays. Happens in their 2015 Motocultor concerts too his amp gives out till his tech fixes it. Same in Gods of Grind.
@@Coldwallbar That’s fair. I’d assume they were using loaner rigs for an amp setup as well, which doesn’t help.
Carcass and arch enemy \M/
lol
we're from england... and sweden
All Guitar Solos Heartwork album demonstrated here:
ruclips.net/video/nKAyHVQFQWQ/видео.html
its only just come out, so no where is gonna stock it until summer most likely
nice sound
I have no idea, my guess would be to look on the fernandes website and check who sells fernandes guitars
Gotta love Bills sunglasses. \m/
collin farrel has now long hair and is vocalist in carcass
What is the intro?
Bill with shades and without shoes...that's the attitude man:)
What happened to carcass .They are the same with out ken.My opinion tho
+james kuck Ken suffered a brain haemorrhage in 1999 :(
MORE BASS!!!!!
Bill needed to turn his gain up. You are playing with Carcass here, not Firebird! lol
cept indoors all you can hear is the vibrations
@xLongLiveMetalx I think it needed to be turned down just a tad. It's drowning out the guitars.
very maidenesque friggin love it
Bill with the Firebird shirt :)
Oh yeah, true that.
This sure isnt a metallica record from 1989
@zachgilm Meh. Being a bassist, I'm always in favor of cranking it. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's drowning them out, but it is a bit overbearing.
It's not loud it's audible.
fuckin amazing!
Fuck I love that Dean!
Do they do their dirty grind stuff live anymore?
Yes i know what happened to Ken.Carcass is not the same
I played in a death metal band with my cousin's Hello Kitty Fender a few times. Sometimes even musicians like to fuck with the audience.
friendly music
Where´s the guitar´s. There´s only bass?
BASS!!
no mas dredlocks?
isn't that looking awesome?
I didn't understand the joke about mastodon....can u explain me? :S
As far as I know Mastodon cancelled that day. Carcass took their place.
" Following the recent cancellation of Mastodon's European tour dates as a result of guitarist Bill Kelleher being diagnosed with pancreatitus, the organisers of Belgium's Graspop Metal Meeting festival has announced that their place will be taken by legendary British grindcore/death metal outfit Carcass. ...and mastodon has a song called "this mortal soil"...
Neven Stosic
Didn't knew that, thx for the heads up.
I bet Jeff never wanted his bass this up front lol.....
The drummer fucked up in that part at 3:37 but the band handled it like pros
baixão lá nas nuvens
My god... the audio is a complete disaster....
Then listen to the album and don't complain
Bass is louder than everything ;)
Bill looks like Jerry Cantrel hehe..
So true ahah,i love both!
Well, we can hear the bass, at least. :B
@bikerluke182 Yeah, it's strange.
sorry we are not mastodon
1:45 Maiden basslines :D
This crowd is full of posers
80 to 90 % of most metal concerts are full of posers
You go to the wrong gigs man ;)
we are not mastadon - hahahahah fucking awesome...and all the better so!
Bill Steer looks like David Gilmour in this video.
That's one loud bass...
mañana 14/04/2013
They opened with Genital Grinder. Pretty much proves that they do
Sorry not same
Sounds like a death metal iron maiden show
