- Carcass are a British extreme metal band from Liverpool, England. Carcass are regarded as pioneers of the grindcore genre. They also became one of the pioneers of melodic death metal with their 1993 album Heartwork. This is Carcass performing 'This Mortal Coil' from their album Heartwork and "Reek of Putrefaction" from the 1989 album, Symphonies of Sickness. They played at the BIG69 metal festival in Mumbai, India in 2015.

These guys are real pros. The whole band is tight as fuck. Very talented musicians. Cool to see heavy metal is alive and well in India.
Bill Steer really is an unsung hero in metal. Dude writes some amazing riffs
A Carcass concert with good recording quality? Is this a dream? Really enjoyed watching this, please upload the rest of the concert.
Hahaha,I was thinking the same! Too many years waiting for this!
I think the same hahaha
Good sound quality indeed, but bogus video editing, 6:40 for example xD
ReZi Thats what I said. Excellent quality.
Bill's D string seems to be out of tune, though.
This mortal coil is one of the greatest metal tunes ever. So many great riffs.
I remembering going straight to learn it when I was little and I played guitar
Verae correct
"Reek of putrefaction" is 1,000 times better
Fuck can't get over how tight these guys are. Great fucking musicianship
Symphonies of sickness is one of the best Death/Grind albums ever created. So great to hear Bill doing his vomit parts! Hail Carcass, the real rotten one!
This is maybe the best sounding live by carcass ever.
Check in Brutal Assault. :)
that in India 😮
00:00 This Mortal Coil
04:04 Reek of Putrefaction
Drummer is a blast bea(s)t!
Agreed, he's taken the place of Ken Owen very well and he knows it.
Dan Wilding is such a talented drummer.
AND HE MAKES IT LOOK SOOO EASY!
He is, but where is the double bass drum kit????
He's a right lovely bloke too.
Yes, he is awesome! Great tempo and such power drumming
I’ve got one of his drum sticks.
One of the best live guitar tones I've ever heard. How is there only two songs. Is there seriously any more?
C Brown I whole heartedly agree 👍🏽
If are good and short two times well.
Reek of Putrefaction: 4:04
mvp, cheers!!!
Their best
no reason to listen to anything after Heartwork
@@Ravnkel ooF. Why the restriction? Isn't it tiring to be an elitist?
Classic!!!!
I was there in Bombay/Mumbai . What a stellar live performance it was !
so cool to see they still play songs from their grindcore days, just a few is more than enough, awesome video.
grind core days are you nuts its melodeath
Brian Kyllo - This Mortal Coil is melodeath but the song Reek of Putrefaction is from Symphonies of Sickness which is when they still played pure deathgrind. So if they play any songs from their 1st 2 albums, it's not wrong to say they're playing grindcore.
Except for the fact that Carcass never actually liked the term nor called themself "Grindcore". They liked the term experimental alot more. Fun fact, they kind of dislike the very first album.
Carcass' first two albums and the inspiration for goregrind
@Curly Que Do not agree. I would also term them goregrind especially of Bill Ward's vocals on the first two albums and song structure
Maybe the best piece of audio engineering I've seen on YT.. well done
I am a very enthusiastic metal worker- or I used to be before I had children. I did swords, axes, crossbows, halberds and all you can imagine... Spears, mazes... 😔😢 And how cool it was, when I saw the Heartwork video from Carcass🏆🇫🇮
I NEED to see them live again, it has been 13 years. Steer is such an underrated powerhouse
This Mortal Coil has to be one one of the most instrumentally fantastic metal songs out there. Drum track is killer
Holy fuck. The sound quality is outstanding. Great stuff
Release their whole gig of Mumbai. I was there and waited and waited till I saw them to never be the same. What a night and what stories! Thanks, Carcass.
Just saw Carcass Live opening for Amon Amarth. They were EPIC. I’m gonna be honest I had no clue who they were but now I can’t get enough of them 🔥🔥
Same here, saw them on that tour in ATL.. Carcass was incredible live... Those guys do not fuck around 🤘
brilliant quality!!! pls upload the whole concert!
Release this whole show please!!!!! One thing that’s rare is a good live capture of Carcass from the soundboard.
finally a deserved PRECISE drummer ❤️
Perfect Sound and Picture...THX
Wow, sounds fantastic for a live recording.
Excellent sound
Beautiful!! Best band on earth!!! Love me some CARCASS!!! Great recording!!
Ahh Carcass HQ 👌
Simply perfect! Amazing display how creative and attractive a grind band can get.
Love the editing and camera work here.
This is sick af! 🤘 Tight as hell.
Remarkably good audio quality, Live-EP worthy.
Edit: and the video production/editing was also great!
@GearHouse Guys, this was beyond amazing hope you guys continue to record gigs in India and elsewhere, Steller work, thank you for the lovely footage. Also Huge props to BIg69 team for holding the event, twas the best time of my life. 2 day metalfests ftw \m/

Thanks to this good sound quality you can even more appreciate how Carcass really kick your ass. They are the B-E-S-T
@3:00 "OH YEAH" Jesus Smokes. Just Fucking Smokes. Isn't this the best shit you ever heard. Fucking Relentless. Thunderous. Savage.
Saw them last April here in Manila. Fucking awesome gig!!!
Great sound mix, spot on.
Jeff handed me down that SSS (Short Sharp Shock) shirt he's wearing. Bad ass to see it on stage lol.
Amazing
great songs, superb execution!
Carcass is great! 'nuff said :)
la mejor banda de todos los géneros que puede tener el death metal
This song kicks serious ass.
Excelente 🤟🏻 para recordar bellas épocas de colegio, en la que teníamos pelo largo, escuchábamos música en casete etc etc jaja
THIS. IS. FUCKING. AMAZING!!!!
Amazing performance. Carcass really know how to fucking rock.
missing the Ken Owen swing... but great to see Bill on vox again.
They just get better and better!I've been listening to good old Carcass for millennia as well, great for the mental health (anyone got an Orgone Accumulator stashed in their garage?)🕉️
Glad it's not just me that thinks they're great for improving mental health! I've been a fan for only a year and they've helped me out with that side of my life.
@@LittleMissGrosser Hi Allison, hope you are enjoying your weekend, thanks for responding! Lovely to get some feedback 🌄 Normally it's just the geezers showing off about what gigs they've been to, like metal is their sole right! Well,I saw Carcass at an amazing venue about 40 Kms outside Athens Greece 🇬🇷 called Terravibe and they were better than the headliners Judas Priest-more raw,old school festival, less glitz(even though Priest are brilliant!)
Xoxo 🤘✊
Brutalidad extrema, poder infinito . Grande carcass.saludos desde camiña. Chile.....
The transition....
Perfect!
This Mortal Coil
Tearing down the walls
Breaching frontiers, unlocking the gates
To a new world disorder
A fresh balance of terror, the equilibrium of hate/
All flesh entwined, in the equality of pain
Archaic nescience unleashed
Entrenched, a bitter legacy
Tempered in mental scars
All flesh entwined in mortal equality
Tangled mortal coil
Twisted and warped
Tangled mortal coil
All of the giants of death metal that have reunited after years of rest seems to have made them better, and more hungry. I remember finally getting to see carcass on the surgical steel tour, and being blown away. Then not long after that at the Gates was putting out new material, but emperor is still holding out. Teasing with sporadic shows, but no new material.
I wish they do a live record of the old songs or do a re-recorded version of the old songs 🤘🏽
Reek of Putrefaction - best song of Carcass
Maiden on steroids 👍👍👍
The music video style editing on this is so frustrating. I’m trying to watch them play!
especially the less than 2 second cuts. this is hyper ADD nonsense that makes Tony Scott's movies look restrained.
"Debatra Ghosh Worked on shows like MTV Hustle, MTV Roadies, Splitsvilla, Unplugged, India's Next Top Model, Love School, Dating in the Dark, Troll Police, Elovator Pitch."
explains it all.
terriblemente perfecto
WOW! AMAZING....SO GOOD~!
AMAZING BAND
🤘❤️🤘

Los podridos de Liverpool, qué bandota en vivo!!

See You in Katowice.
Is this life or studio performance? If this is life , respect to carcass, few bands only sounds good in life performance
Carcass its only ALL aaaaaaaarrrrrghhh
Carcass à Biarritz-France 2021????
cool !
I was there 🤘
shock number one: good production.
Shock number two: Bill using his voice :o
That’s very rude of you to say. I don’t think you appreciate real metal. Next time, rather than listening to these brilliant songs you should go and make some pasta. That would suit you better...
@@lorigeleynse4352 You carry on talking out of your arse luv, it's entertaining the bollocks you spout ;)
Simplesmente carcass
🤘🏽🔥🇧🇷🔥🇧🇷🔥🇧🇷🔥🇧🇷🔥🇧🇷🔥🤘🏽

❤️❤️❤️
Carcass double bill with Fleshgod Apocalypse, and a kick ass mix….
where the rest?!
Who's the second guitar player?
Una de las mejores bandas que ha pisado la tierra para mí, grandisimos los putos Carcass 🤘🏻
Hardest of the hard.
electro hippies
don't know why but bill steer reminded me of steven clark for a second, in reek of putrefaction
I don't know why but somehow I picture Jeff walking around at night punching cows with his bass.
OMFG! \m/ \m/
Must be using Kempers & cloned that Heartwork tone because its really close
You can see marshall amps in the background behind the stage props.
All real amps sir.
good sound quality, still, what the hell you keep playing stuff from the first album for?!
+Dan Saghin Second album, funnily enough. The first album is called Reek of Putrefaction, but the song called the same is on the next album. Confusing shit.
Dan Saghin their 1st albums are their best you utter pleb
ernie balls yeah, and they were all like 12 years old when they recorded it... if you would use logic you would see the stupidity in your claim, I get that you never developped past that age and that's why you like te first album the most...
Pentti Koivuniemi true, I kinda get them confused, the second album is better than the first though and the next better than the previous in general and so it goes for all of them...
Shut up. This tune is a fuckin classic. A Carcass concert without this track isn't a real Carcass concert.
Fuckin legends❤
the sound on this is AMAZING. But Bill Steer's vocals are still buried like they always are in these live mixes.
