The GREATEST CARCASS guitar cover EVER. YOU SIR Are my new CARCASS hero. The HUNDREDS of hours that went into learning all these riffs And HRS and hrs into recording for this video..the editing...oyevai. Bravo sir! 5 out of 5 💀 ☠️ 💀 ☠️ 💀
This is incredible. Bill Steer is such an amazing guitarist. He has also played in two hard rock bands (Firebird and Gentlemen's Pistols) and you easily hear his distinctive style of playing. Phenomenal work man!
And Bill is a really nice dude. Met Daniel and Bill the last time Carcass came through. Made my day for sure. Had a record and a CD with me and Bill took it on the tour bus and the whole band signed my record and CD even though they hadn't woken up yet. Effing cool band been a fan since I first heard them around 93ish
He is great, and he's done some amazing stuff. But I feel like maybe he's getting a bit tired of it all. I saw carcass a few months ago, and Bill just seemed to be having a jam rather than playing a gig. It was kind of all over the place and ... I don't know. The whole band felt like that. As a fan for a very long time, I didn't mind, because the vibe was very fun. But I would love to have seen this band when they were a lot younger.
I love everything that Carcass ever made, but Necroticism always makes me experience the same feelings from when I first listened to it. By far my favourite Carcass album and one of the best metal albums ever \m/
I can think of a heap more riffs as good, and there are equally as many drum fills that I could call out, which says to me that Carcass are in fact the most amazing and versatile band of all time.
@@Leave_The_Hall_69 You surely mean "connection", right? Because the OP comment IS a correlation between those two albums. ;) But I don't think there is a direct connection between them other than that correlation of coming out close to each other.
DESCANTING back in 1992-93 was a game changer for me. All the way up in Ketchikan, Alaska...I had this playing in my sony cassette walkman. Alo g with Death Human. Badass video
I recently had a guitar lesson with John Kempainen of The Black Dahlia Murder and he was telling me that Unhallowed was super influenced by Carcass. I’m not as familiar with Carcass and didn’t know where to start. This video helps!
@ In those days I was a basic Big 4 thrash guy, maybe Testament and Exodus here and there. Carcass was one of the first bands that made me seek out something else, even if I was late to their party, so to speak
Great list, and great interpretations! You hit nearly every riff that I felt should be on a 'best of' for Carcass, and a good mix of old and new. Very happy to see "Blind Bleeding the Blind" and "Black Star" on there.
Awesome! I've had the fortune of going to several of their concerts. In one of them I got to see the show right from the stage sitting on one of the PA side speakers, I thought at some point security or someone from the band's crew was going to tell me to go down to the floor but nobody said anything to me. Bill Steer the closest to me, like 3 meters away. It was great.
Holy moly I came across someone who's playing the best riffs of the band that got me playing guitar. This is amazing! well done! 100% subbed and loving every minute
Man, this brings me so much joy. Really great video. I really appreciate this considering the world is going to shit. Thank you so much. More Carcass please!
Thank you! Carcass is still one my favourites after 30 years of listening. There's always something catchy riffs to take a another look with these amazing guitar playing skills you have! Thanks again and keep the spirit up!
Just wow this is the best compilation from them hats off to you sir, a work of art indeed. I added this to my library. Incredible just incredible, spotless and tasty, covering old and newer stuff. This band is pure genius.
Brilliant... that was pure bliss... My favorite band of all time, the band with the most unbeatable riffs ever the band that came back and just crushed every new metal band whom thought they hade taken Carcass's place =)
I'm a metal guitarist too, and carcass are my favourite band 🤘 I've always loved thier riffs, but never realised how technical they are until I seen this 👍 excellent guitar work brother 🤘 METAL FOR LIFE 🤘
Listening to you really great playing, as a metal headbanger for about 35 years I can tell you are one of the best players so far for me, you deliver me to those old days of the very best grindcode and death metal from Carcass. But you forgot songs from Simphony of Sickness.
Great selection and awesome job! Steer is a true riff master, one of my fav all-time bands! Cool to see some Swansong! Off to watch Buried Dreams now! \m/
Awesome. Carcass are so underrated. My fav will always be incarnated. One that could have easily been on there is forensic clinicism the sanguine article . Great job
Brother, this is amazing - I haven't heard anyone else come as close to the tone and feel of the actual recordings. You have a new sub! One question; are you using pedals and and amp, or straight DI with IRs & distortion etc in DAW, or an effects unit like Axe FX or Quad cortex? Cheers.

5 out of 5 💀 ☠️ 💀 ☠️ 💀
Thanks man!! 🤘🏻
This is 25 Consecutive Fatalities
That would be a killer name for a death metal band.
Carcass has a sound that is distinctly theirs, and to see these riffs put together like this, it's just awesome. Been a fan from the beginning.
thanks!
Bill Steer is absolutely the GOAT of riffage.
Carcass is underrated, imo, like the album Necroticism - Descanting The Insalubrious, is perfection
The "Black Star" riff has always been one of my Carcass' favourite riffs due to its tasty groove.
And it gave rise to a pretty cool single album side project of the same name and following that same musical interest
This is incredible. Bill Steer is such an amazing guitarist. He has also played in two hard rock bands (Firebird and Gentlemen's Pistols) and you easily hear his distinctive style of playing. Phenomenal work man!
And early Napalm Death

the best carcass riff is from necroticism, from 00:00 to 48:03. the album is a riff machine with some speeches in between
I love everything that Carcass ever made, but Necroticism always makes me experience the same feelings from when I first listened to it. By far my favourite Carcass album and one of the best metal albums ever \m/
This is the best video to introducing to Carcass!!
Carcass is peak metal, it's just one of those few bands everybody loves no matter which genre you hail from. True Gods of Grind!
Glad someone acknowledges how hard Swansong rocks. A lot of people don't like it, but that's one of my favourite Carcass albums.
what was cool was hearing a modern sound with some of the older riffs. really made them pop.
I can think of a heap more riffs as good, and there are equally as many drum fills that I could call out, which says to me that Carcass are in fact the most amazing and versatile band of all time.
Dude, wake up and smell the Carcass! This is great!
The transition between "this is your life" and "unfit for human consumption" caught me off guard. Well played.
thanks!
Hard to believe Heartwork came out only 2 years after Metallica released The Black Album. Carcass were so ahead of their time!
Does Heartwork have any correlation to the Black Album?
Funny you mention Metallica, this is the type of level of playing Megadeth should have followed up R.I.P with, just my opinion, anyway amazing album.
Say what you want. This band is in the same league as far as I'm concerned!
@@Leave_The_Hall_69 You surely mean "connection", right? Because the OP comment IS a correlation between those two albums. ;) But I don't think there is a direct connection between them other than that correlation of coming out close to each other.
@@UberNoodle I meant what I said. Shut up
Always glad to see Reek Of Putrifaction, Corporal Jigsore Quandary, and 316L Grade Surgical Steel in these lists. Those are my absolute favorites
Great playing and you have chosen the tastiest of riffs! Embodient alone has a number of them!
Thanks!
YESSSSSSSS . Carcass is a top 4 all time favorite band. Someone needs to do 25 best Carcass Drum Parts. Ken Owen is massively under appreciated.
Thanks for including Keep Rotting in the Free World
Impressive mate! 👊 Nice edited and an great ode to the kings of Rot 'n' Roll...
Thank you!
carcass has been my favorite band for 30 years!!!

WHY IS CARCASS SO FKING GOOD?
I heard them all when they came out, but looking back, they are so - so much better than I remember at the time.
Wow man, this is perfection... technique and sound, the correct feel, it's all there. Great.
Thanks!
The old Carcass riffs are pure classics, The solos are an art. 🤙
I recently had a guitar lesson with John Kempainen of The Black Dahlia Murder and he was telling me that Unhallowed was super influenced by Carcass. I’m not as familiar with Carcass and didn’t know where to start. This video helps!
Amazing cuts, amazing playing.
One of the best bands ever.
You made it easier for those who want to learn these fantastic parts. Great job!!!
Thanks! 👍🏻
I don't know what it is but something about the riffs on Black Star never fail to amaze me. Without a doubt one of my favourite Carcass songs 🔥🤘🏻
Damn, you nailed that Carcass tone. Well done! I will always have a special place in my heart for Black Star. Incredible song.
That tone is insane!!!
I could watch this all day
you should ;)
Heartwork was my introduction to these guys shortly after it came out. Thankful to my old roomate for that one. I was hooked immediately
Heartwork was my reintroduction
@ In those days I was a basic Big 4 thrash guy, maybe Testament and Exodus here and there.
Carcass was one of the first bands that made me seek out something else, even if I was late to their party, so to speak
I just heard my entire childhood thanks!
It's so nice to see Swansong get some love!

You nailed that thick sludgy tone!
Best video on RUclips
Menzione particolare a " the living dead at the Manchester morgue" : semplicemente Eccezionale ! Maestosa composizione ! Grandissimi Carcass
Excellent work! Clean playing, great tone, played correctly. Fantastic!!
Bill Steer is the best death guitarist. No one is that tasteful and elaborated, is like an Adrian Smith or Glenn Tipton death metal version
Thank you love Carcass and you killed it hard ....
thanks!
Dude, that was f*cking brillant, damn man. Perfect, this video is pure art
Thanks!
Great video, really good selection. Bill Steer is really an underrated composer.
