Nice car, a favorite. Love the front bumper look, the "table and levers" between dash and wheel.Merc got it right on this one.

Really like the styling especially how the entire dashboard is designed. Which one of those fancy levers is the turbo boost? Ejection seat? 😄

Owned one! Great 2 Dr. Hardtop car. White top with emerald green interior. Quirk: right hand turn on cambered road the driver's door would suddenly unlatch and start to open up. No amount of shimming could stop this annoying habit. Overall, just loved this car. Great engine and nice rumble with glass pack mufflers.

I had a 1954 meercury sunliner. Nice baack then.
In the 50s a Mercury was a less fancy Lincoln. Then it had its own identity for a while, then in the 70s it became a dressed up Ford, then it died.
I almost bought a 54 sedan this color but ended up with a 1950 Packard Custom 8 Touring Sedan instead.
Nice vehicle but get rid of the boat anchor out back and fix the exhaust leak

Take away the Continental Kit and it loses lots of class, not to mention a few thousand dollars in value!
I think the exhaust leak your hearing is the valve lifters, those motors had solid lifters, mechanically adjusted, they always made a little noise . That's were the nick name "Tappets" came from!
