These guys don’t mess around when it comes to fishing. Tailoring their technique, analyzing the weather and figuring out what the fish are feeling. I usually just plunk my bait in the water and contemplate what I’d do if Planet of the Apes happened in real life.
My intro to bass fishing was in the clear waters of San Diego so the drop shot played a huge part in it. The 4” Roboworm was my work horse. Can’t go wrong with those. Great video Tim. Love all TB content and “we appreciate ya” as well. 😊👍🏼
Can't believe the z man trick shotz didn't make it on your list. That's one of my favorite baits for drop shot, ned, and even real light finesse t rig.
Roboworm for the win they’re the Gary Yamamoto of dropshot with all the colors you’ll never be with out a worm that will get bit especially out here in so cal!
Fantastic video. Thanks to previous videos I started using the drop shot in the fall and the way to the current (spring) and it has been a game changer for me. Yesterday I caught my PB using the drop shot with the strike king dream shot.
Great video guys. The underwater footage of that Smallmouth just slurping in that Big Bite Baits Smallie Smasher was amazing. I am just enamored with underwater photography of bass and the way the lures we use actually look like down there.
Yes I do like watching your videos or underwater videos about bus in about bass I like your details and you were telling me I should try some of those details next time I go out
I fish pressured water,, so dropshot is a go to for me.. I have been banging em on that Netbaits Flexworm...I love those. Also, Netbaits crush and stumpy crush, Dream Shots and instead of the smallie smasher, I use Missile baits Bomb Shot, they float, I'm not sure if S.S. do, I get em in Fishalicious color, which is regular shad looking clearish grey, but they can then be dyed with spike it, or whatever you like to switch it up, without buying a bunch of colors. One other dropshot bait that has really been working great for me is the 3 inch Hasadong Shad by Megabass. If they don't hit the shiver shot looking baits mentioned first, dead sticking those Hasadong's finesses it up even more. I've caught bass when noone is catching anything with them. Thanks for your videos, I really enjoy them. LMAO...dude, I wrote my comment halfway through your video, are you up in my head or what...lol! That Hasadong is the deal when nothing else works. I hate that you've put it out though, cause once you do, tue baits are out of stock everywhere!
I started using the drop shot this past winter on your guy's recommendation and it has been a great producer for me ever since. As a shore fisherman I'm pretty limited with places I can fish on my home lakes but the 6" Roboworm in Morning Dawn has been doing WORK for me. Can't recommend it enough, fish hit it on the fall, they hit it right at my feet. This thing gets a ton of bites and some quality fish as well
Thanks for all the tips Tim...I have a tip for you. When you rig the Armor Shad with the Owner mosquito hook; THREAD it on instead of nose hooking. It gives the bait a great action and you can catch multiple fish on one bait! Hope you try it and it works for you like it does for me. And maybe one day I’ll see it on your next underwater drop shot video.
Great video. I tried the smallie smasher this year from your recommendation. Three best smallmouth caught with it were 5.33lbs, 4.67, 4.07. With a lot more over 3.5lbs. It’s now probably my favorite dropshot bait. Thank you for the recommendation
I was thinking the same thing....went fishing this past wed and had several small nibble like bites and never set the hook thinking they were blue gills. Next time I'm swinging....why not.... hook sets are free.

Hi Tim great video.. any tips on ( the next phase) with the tackle shortage due to the pandemic and a lot of lures rods and reels being on back order what should I stock up on now before it’s hurry up and wait .
The savage gear mirrored type minnows, Nikko sandworms and they have one that's like minnow are great baits i just tried this week. But i have all of these baits you showed and they are great choices. My fav was the dreamshot Damiki armor shad, easy shiner and hazadong shad
Hey Tim, great video. The dropshot is the way to go, as an up and coming tournament angler I will dropshot all day it just works. Friends of mine call me they one trick pony. Dont get me wrong I throw other baits but I always go back to the dropshot, it just catches fish. The only suggestion I have is, is to mention the angle of the dangle. Meaning, where your bait hangs in relation to the weight and how far you cast. Oh and you can dropshot while bank bustin do it all the time.
First, with the mic you are using wind noise is no problem. I am getting all notifications, but the bell does not light up or show a count for any body's notification. I always watch.
Tim, I have to suggest the Beast Coast Magic Flick for drop shotting when fish are keying in on baitfish. I won the TW Pumpkin Carving Contest on IG last fall and it was sent in my prize pack. The bait has proven to be crucial when targeting pressured fish that are keying on small baitfish or shad. A real difference maker, probably similar in application to the Damiki bait you mentioned in the vid.
Another one I really love is the missile quiver. 4.5 and either 6 or 6.5. You can drop shot or just Ned rig it and the tail has beautiful action. I've had great success with it and luckily it's been in stock whereas other brands have been difficult to find.

I'm a bank angler so I don't get the most out of a drop shot unless I fish off the end of docks. I find a 3 inch keitech swing impact or a flat worm on a nose hooked free-rig ( drop shot teardrop sliding weight with a neko rig hook ) works wonders though. Same basic idea, except I can cast it out a ways, and since I river fish, when it gets out in current, it free floats around and the smallies smash it.

Tim, thanks for the great video. I'm wondering if you or someone else could help me out.
