In the last comparison (at the end) I could really hear the difference. The sapele individual notes were clearer. Overall I like the tone and sound of the sapele
Thanks for the video! Currently looking at both guitars and the variety of music styles played is really helpful! Maybe loving the Sapele top just a but more.
I have the D10E Sapele version and I really love it. It’s an amazing guitar for the price point and the Sapele wood smells so great 😊. This guitar just looks like something you would see hanging off a horse back in 1862 but it plays, sounds and feels so good. Did I mention that it smells SOooo good? 😂
You know how to mic a guitar. Sounds fantastic. I got an excellent deal on a mint D10e WITH Martin hard case for $680 total shipped/taxes included. I like it... but I don't love it. It doesn't hold a candle to my Alvarez MD70EBG, which is the same price roughly (and has bone nut/saddle/pins, real rosewood back/sides, etc. Just a far better value and feels 10x better to play) so I'm going to sell the DM10e and get a D18 instead so I can have something mahogany. Shame because I love the D10e's electronics / tuner / pearl inlay.
It's not that it's lower quality. It just grows much faster, so it's more plentiful, which means it's cheaper. A lot of pro players prefer Sapele, like Chris Cornell who's #1 guitar (Martin) was sapele back/sides.
fascinating that they sound so different. The spruce is my clear favorite.
alot depends on what strings you use.

I've got the older version of the D-10E Sapele, and 12 years later, it still sounds wonderful.
Thanks for this comparison, it made my decision very easy. Just ordered the Sapele version. It sounds and looks amazing.
They both sound amazing! Either one is good enough to spend under $1,000.
Just got the D-10 sapele. I think I made the right choice. It sounds so smooth and balanced.

I believe that 02 is better sounding. More Martin sound. But they both are great guitars and you my fellow are very good guitar player.

02, no question. More balanced.

This video made a decision much easier. Or at least an approach for it.
Two great acoustics guitar D-10e 01 (sapele) more warm sound and 02 (stika) more sharp sound.
It sounds very good, I have the d10 in spruce, could you tell me what configuration you used for the recording?
Hi, what is your setup? Thanks!
Hola. Que deferencia tiene la d10e 01 con la d 10e 02?
I really enjoyed your simple playing 💜👍.
If possible please do review for Martin jr10.

1:44 what's the song?
I just bought the Sitka and I love it.
Great guitare for sure !
You gotta go with the classic finish the shapele is beautiful on the higher ends but on this model it's okay
D-10 OE1
I would pick 10 OE2 instead for its mellow sound. It's sound much more pleasing.
Красиво звучат обе и играете супер 👍 а на какую камеру снимаете?
The martin d10e-02 is all solid wood ??
yup. and plek'd at the factory
The Sapele is better for Blues.
The Spruce is a traditional Bluegrass sound.
D10
Guitars without bass.. I don't like them. Mahogany sounds much better. Sapele is lower quality mahogany
