I own the Sitka Spruce top which I absolutely love! I’m glad I listened to this comparison. I like the way you described the Sapele top. It Does Sound more intimate . I hear glassy highs as well. I would love to own both.
@@steveyankees1 I tried both at the shop and felt in love with the Sapele with a darker and more bluesy tone, less pop, but more woody to my hears. Anyway I dislike the bright acoustic guitar in general, especially for recording with bright condenser mic.
@@joolm4976 yes I’m hearing a pleasant warmth and highs, in the all Sapele. This is why I’m considering getting one; to have different sounds. I am highly impressed with the Road series dreadnought model in particular . I’m definitely not getting rid of my spruce top with Sapele sides and back.
I also have the Martin D10-E in sapele. I have not found any other guitar on the market which matches the richness of the tone. However, it's not the easiest guitar in the world to play. If you buy one of these, you must practice daily. If you go a few days without playing it, your fingers will hurt.
Lots of Buzz about STRINGS - which are best to use on these little Juniors? any difference in choice with the Sapele vs. Spruce? Anyone have some insights? I think Strings are an important consideration to optimize these Guitars?
@@IRequireMedication thanks. They do not have customer service in Korea like US. It takes long time to get responses by email and they keep asking me to talk with the dealer. I will visit the seller . Thanks
thanks for just playing and putting the specs on the screen, instead of rambling for 10mins and not really playing! awesome!
I prefer these guitars, they both sound amazing, just tested both and decided to get the sitka, Excellent
Ive got the Sapele and love it. It sounds way better in person.
Don't mean to sound corny, but the Sapele has a warm, soothing sound that seems to comfort and sooth the soul.
They both sound awesome. Thanks for the demo and comparison. ✌️
The Sapele version has such a lovely woody tone!
I bought the all sapele D10E. Im happy with my choice.
getting mine on monday, can't sleep just thinking about it
So how is it?
Sitka all day. The sapele is too bright and doesn't have the overtones space and air that the spruce has.
Does the color tell us which is which? I see a dark one on marketplace for a good deal. Does that mean sapele top?

I’ve tried both in store, and I have to say, the Sapele will be coming home with me hands down!
I just bought one it's on its way pretty stoked for it to get here.
@@franrayjr I bought the Sapele shortly after my original comment, it’s an amazing sounding guitar. I also now have a HD28 to compliment it :)
Sapele sounds much more intimate, less highs, more solid, better for recording.

Totally agree. I thought I might like the Sitka more, but I prefer the intimacy of the Sapele.
@@steveyankees1They would complement each other perfectly in a recording.

My decision now is much easier! Danke, thank you.
Definitely spruce has better sound.
I find it difficult to concentrate on the tone of the guitars due to the heavy compression which has been added.
Maybe just lower the action
Spruce...sound and visually.
The Sapele sounds delicious.
Qual a diferença entre o D10-E sapele e ou drs1 ?
Qual calibre de corda vem nesse violão sapele?
Great work. This is a great sound comparison. Sapele sounds a lot like cedar. Low end moving in to mid the more energy.
Whats song are u playing for the strumming
Sapele is better

They both sound great. Sapele is more pointed and not as open sounding. Not sure which I prefer. Both great. ❤ I'll take two! ;)
Beautiful sound.i like the cleaner and more sparkly sound of the brown one a tad more.
These guitars chime like pianos!
Strumming
1:15 Vs 2:01
what strings do you have on there?
Squeaky ones.
Spruce
Thank you for not talking
sapele wins?
In my opinion , yes
Martin d15 is made all sapele, the top is only mahogany🤣 don't pay more...
@@lafinestracatalana8340 the top is the most important part
@@lafinestracatalana8340You're incorrect. The D15 is solid mahogany front, back, and sides. Always has been, always will be.
Falling slowly...
Too many troubles, High action , sharp edges , ETC. Not recommended. You have to keep setting it up for the rest of your life
Why do you say that?
@@IRequireMedication probably it is only me . :(
@@persiaguitar Bring it in. Martin is very good at standing behind their products.

sounds fake and plugged in
Sika..the best.
