I've had mine almost 9 months and it's been an Incredible guitar , friend companion .. It fits right in to Country, Bluegrass and contemporary ... Most who have played it didn't believe the retail price of this guitar .. They all say it sounds Way too good to be priced at that level .. It's 1000% a Real Martin .. 🎸
When I listen without the picture I think one would be hard pressed to tell that this guitar didn't cost thousands more. Judging by tone alone it sounds great.
I'd love to get my hands on one of these guitars. I've got a martin d18 that is an awesome guitar. Its pretty neat to think for only around $800 you could get a guitar that sounds this good. The picture of what the guitar looks like means nothing to me, since I'm totally blind. Its the overall tone that I really like. When I first played my d18 with a sunburst finish, it was just one E. Chord and that did it for me. When you're going to purchase a new guitar, not only play it yourself, but also listen to someone else play it as well. I'll be saving up for one of these great guitars.
@@skipfires Sure do, they come with mounting plates so you dont have to use screws which I used on the Martin. The screws wont line up with the stock holes but if you do want to use them it's simple. Just dowel and redrill. I was just being lazy this time and the mounting plate makes them look more vintage so I just used the plates. Some guitars I scream in some I use the plates. Just depends. But both ways these tuners are solid. They have chrome, satin, nickel or gold variants. I use chrome cause it's the cheapest and I like the way they feel. Plus they are hands down the best tuner I've ever used. www.amazon.com/Hipshot-Headstocks-Grip-Lock-Lumintrail-Polishing/dp/B085F3XC2C/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?adgrpid=58967108306&dchild=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwvr6EBhDOARIsAPpqUPFAfjiUE5qrj6BlKhd4gGUt38k8UinYQdoGTO5ZeyI1Nt_YwRgxvQsaAvJNEALw_wcB&hvadid=295710035437&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=9027260&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=b&hvrand=17908055855853033355&hvtargid=kwd-329776199710&hydadcr=13016_9737759&keywords=hipshot+locking+tuners+3x3&qid=1620052202&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=AVQZ6Z4LCAKI5&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFVR084TzJFUDdETU4mZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAxMTEyNTkxQjZOWEpXR0xXN1VWJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA1MTI3NDhLVUtYV0lSR1dCR00md2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

I have a 1999 d16gt that sounds and plays every bit as great as any d18 I’ve played and have played several! I love it! It’s made in USA, but this MIM d10e sounds remarkably well!
@@DaltonDrums-sq5mr my brother in law when I started learning guitar was like I really think you should learn to play right handed bc finding LH guitars will suck. He wasn’t joking. The few options we have are always sold out....smh
I love my D10e. Can't believe the value. Right now sapele is looked down as a cheaper alternative to mahogany. I think that will change as traditional hardwoods diminish in availability. It sounds a lot like mahogany but with a more even top end. I actually pulled the medium PB strings off and put on light Daddario 80/20s. Lost some deep bass, but overall love the sound. May try bluegrass strings later with medium lows and light highs. I think some of the sharpness in tone comes from paper and resin richlite fretboard. Ebony is getting harder to find. Many trees are killed for darkest wood only, so richlite is a sustainable alternative. Get used to it.
51Dss funny you should mention 114 e - thats the other contender - besides d10 - taylor playability is fantastic - but really like tone of martin - argh decisions ...
Should i go for martin drs2/d10e in this price around 850$ or should I go for other guitars like epiphone's hummingbird or Masterbuilt frontier? Actually i am a singer and songwriter so i want a big sounding guitar with more bass and sustain. Please help sir really need your valuable suggestions 🙏 Also tell me about which is better between hummingbird and frontier for bass and sustain

Wow those are very impressive guitars !! The tone is great !!
Amazing guitar, I got mine about a month ago and immediatly put some hipshot locking tuners on it. It plays great and sounds excellent.
Do you have specs for the hipshot locking tuners you used? Seems to be variety available, and I want to try and get it right, the first time!

Martin retro strings sound great
was that just a random comment on your part? Because the D10e doesn't come strung with the monels of which you speak

@@ianmeadows6351 what would you say about a eastman vs that
I have 32 D45s and a couple dozen D28s. This sounds better than all of them.
Just found your channel. You've got yourself a new sub!
Sweet!
Is that any different between martin d10e or martin d10e 02?
Sounds great. Amazing price.
Why is this one darker?
exactly my question, I have the same one but not as dark as this one
Just bought one. What action do you recommend? Seems a tad high at present. I have a setup scheduled.
Bro.. 'road series' yeah? some gigging level strumming, plugged up would be helpful.
Your bedroom series sounds purdy tho
You got it Boss
Which guitar would you recommend between this one and te Eastman E1D?
How it's compared to the koa version? I'm planning to get one
How does the D10e compare to a D18? My dream is a D18 but if the D10e is close that may work.

Hey! D12E or D10E?
So how does it compare against the Eastman e1d? It's very similar spec wise

looks to be GREAT bang for the buck - especially for us lefties
I'm glad I'm not the only lefty here! XD haha

The top is spruce or Sitka?
Sitka is a spruce. According to Martin, the top wood is solid sitka spruce.
