Chris is the steph curry of vegeta in dragon ball super. The others are decent scrubs who had their moments. You can hate all you want but poor anology..Chris perfected it. Again the English version is by far the best. Not even close even if I knew Japanese. We respect it because it's the original sure. So then he would be the Oscar Robinson. The Japanese guy. Drummonds Vegeta was perfect in the sayian saga and the beginning of the namek saga. Sabbat is definitely better in the android and cell saga. Drummond fit the Majin Vegeta role. In short, Drummond played a better Evil Vegeta. Sabbat played a better Good Vegeta.

I know Lanipator isn't an official VA for Vegeta, but he's done the voice for 10 years and is still considered an actual VA for Vegeta. Would've been cool to see him there.
Maybe for you and dbza fans but having him there would have caused tons of problems with Toei because they are completely against dbza and against Tfs useing their stuff.I mean they copyright striked a few things already as I heard which really suck because of the work they put in dbza but I can still understand Toei.

Its funny how English vegeta voice actors are bearded regular looking men, for such iconic character. I agree that Sabat didn't sound good when he was trying initially to imitate Drummond. He sounds more natural for an aged and more muscular vegeta.
Enrique Pinero Drummond is a great villain Vegeta, but his voice doesn't fit the more bold personality Vegeta had post Namek. Sabat works well for either but Drummond is still better for everything pre android saga imo

People who's first language isn't english typically have english voices that don't match their looks unlike how their native language voice does. Not being racist because I've also heard many non-english(french, germans, ect) europeans suffer that fate too. Usually have higher pitched english voices compared to their normal native voices. Lol

And Ryu is the og you can only love it. All three are cool dudes, we just watched DBZ when it first aired in NA in the 90's and prefer the Ocean dub.

I was actually really impressed by Ryō Horikawa's English pronunciation. Clearly he's not comfortable enough with English to speak it generally but his pronunciation was good.

Brian was perfect for the crazy psycho Vegeta I mean perfect. I remember Chris taking over right when Vegeta got bigger new armor and theme song ( Bruce ). He was perfect for that & current Vegeta but my favorite is Brian because I remember him cursing Gohan on the monitor all those years ago. He played and sold the angriest Vegeta and had all the best lines.
The faulconor music playing in the background must have felt awkward for all 3 voice actors. The music was never made for ocean dub. The original funimation dub had it, but faulconor studios and funimation got into a scuffle and faulconor ultimately won a lawsuit against them. And then there's the Japanese, probably wondering what the music is playing in the background. Lol.

honestly I loved being at this panel, i went to the event on the spur of the moment and i just kind of walked into the line for the prince of all panels.
was so surprised when they decided to do the big bang at the end. everyone in the audience stood up with their phone in their hands and was cheering.
Ryo is my favorite Vegeta voice actor, and over time Vegeta has become my favorite character in the entire series.

This was just magical, honestly, I was giddy watching this entire video. All 3 voice actors have been such a wonderful part of my DBZ journey from childhood til now and just to hear them talk, interact and share info on how they work was so cool and insightful.
And that triple Big Bang Attack at the end, perfection! :D
Thank you Geekdom for hosting the panel, talk about fan-gasming listening to all 3 of them talk about the show and it’s influence on their own personal lives, which is pretty amazing in and of itself. I can’t think of any other anime that’s done that nor ran for as long as dragonball. Respect for all 3
On another note, I prefer Drummond up through the end of Frieza, then transitioning into Sabat. Just as Chris alluded to, I grew up with both voice actors and it worked very well with the development of Vegeta’s character and prowess in the show. Also, I prefer the original dub from Cell through Buu because of the raspier and grungier (angsty) side of Vegeta throughout that time-frame. Although, I like Sabat’s voice for Super because he’s a more refined and matured Vegeta. Essentially, I’m very pleased and grateful with the overall voice progression of Vegeta throughout the 30 years he’s been voiced. I course, same goes for Horikawa, although I didn’t listen to the Japanese sub until Super and the last 2 movies. Love it though!
Last thing, and I know that this will trigger a lot of my fellow fan-brethren but it’s just my opinion, I prefer the Faulconer score in DBZ because it’s nostalgic and it suited that late 90s and early 2000s medal-grunge teen angst. Also, I thought that it fit the themes and carried the show very well, ESPECIALLY with Vegeta. I can’t think of Final Flash or Gohan going SSJ2 without that score being a part of it.
But I will always love Dragonball, Toriyama, Toyotaro and the other incredibly talented animators, all the voice actors, the studios that put this crazy show together, my fandom brethren that grew up with this iconic series, and the influence that it has had over my lifetime. Love y’all! 🐉

This is so bad ass, these 3 represent my childhood, adulthood and the rest of my life that's still coming.
Especially Chris Sabat, he also voiced my 2nd favourite character, Picollo!
And the Faulconer Vegeta theme when the dudes came up, beautiful!
I grew up on the Funimation dub so as a kid i didn't even know about the others, but as i grew older i learned about the others and i freaking loved them, rhe ocean dub is my least favourite simply because i never actually saw it as a kid so i'm not as attached to it but i learned to appreciate Drummonds Vegeta more amd more, he does an incredible job and he really makes Vegeta sound evil and messed up.
And because internet i was able to watch the entire series in Japanese as well and got to know Ryo's Vegeta and how legendary Ryo's voice acting for Vegeta is.
Vegeta is my favourite character from anything ever and i can't even express how much love i have for these 3 men.
Really wish Lanipator was in there as well. DBZA is just as important as any regular release.

See I agree that Vegeta has some of the best character development and possibly the most but we can't forget that Freeza has had some fantastic character development too. From twisted tyrant that never dirtied his hands with grunt work to a full blown warrior that loves to fight and will always be driven to defeat Goku.

shubham vyas I have and own DB. Regardless of how it began. Goku has shown great maturity, especially in the DBZ series when he came out of the hyperbolic time chamber with Gohan. (Hint Goten being conceived) but in Super, its like his intelligence took a back seat. He grew up after the Cell saga. At the end, to have a villain like Vegeta he cared literally for self and in the end to be humble family man says a lot
