I am so glad you got your hands on all these demos, they give such a nice perspective of the changes the games had undergone and have some hidden jewel to boot.
I remember reading something somewhere where people theorized the protrusions on Pelagia’s head are actually teeth, making its head a severed lower jaw. The reason I bring this up is because in this video (as opposed to the other versions where the impact makes an almost bell-like sound) I noticed when Wander strikes Pelagia’s teeth, it makes a squishy sound, the kind that you get from slicing flesh. Putting all that together makes this super unsettling for me and I love it. Pardon me if this is all tinfoiling.
This used to bug me out about Pelagia. But now what makes me curious about it is: Why in Pelagia's idol at the Sancturay Of Worship its horns are turned up while the Colossus itself has its horns turned down? 🤔
@@letty_thedrawer Because the statue wouldn't fit in that little space otherwise. Keep in mind that the Colossi's designs are similar, but not identical to the statues.
Nice video. Would you mind doing a video discussing the location of Phoenix's or Spider's arenas? I really liked the ones you did about Roc, Devil and Yamori A. Besides, pretty much all of the evidence involving the location of these 2 colossi has already been posted on Team Ico wiki.
Yes, this is even seen in Pelagia's concept art. The original idea was always to kill it with the bow, as the sword wasn't important to the story and was just a regular sword
@@mrroblinx Thats weird to think about, the sword not being important. I suppose that lines up with Emon not originally using the sword in the ending cutscene, if it wasnt special. If colossi dont have to be killed with the sword, does that mean the sigil weak points werent always in the game?
@Moloch B The sword idea added very late in fact, a few months before release. The ending has no mention of the sword either... sadly we can't see the opening to know if Dormin mentions it or not.
@@bagelmeister2295 Yes the colossi didn't originally had sigils, that's a late but not so late idea as some unused colossi had them already. Early on however, you just stabbed the bright parts shown in a HUD icon that the colossi had in addition to their health bar.
Wait a second is this how your supposed to beat him in the regular game because I always just swam to the back which is more annoying if i could simply do this it would be much easier. Can you make the collosus mount the damaged structures in the final game than jump on his face?

It's not really a theory when they are called "tooth" in the files
@@mrroblinx I didn't even know that! Makes it all even better

@@rickalbuquerque595 Hmmm yeah this makes sense. Sometimes I just overthink too much lol.
Thank you :)
Woah that makes it even more unique of a fight than what it already is

E3 2005 Pelagic: Hey, check out my green orb glowing chest. Isn’t it beautiful?
Final Pelagic: Hey where did it go?
That is fascinating, so were they really willing to make you fight a colossus without using the sword?
@Moloch B Maybe, but i think it's odd that the rest of the battle is so complete if the arrow target is just meant to be temporary

nice always good to get more info on the game

Does anyone know what the text says at 7:29?
Something like "Change target: Use L2 to look at Poseidon boss". I presume that means Pelagia
@@bagelmeister2295 it does. That's his in-game name
@@bagelmeister2295 Strange. Because in the final game u look at colossi by pressing L1 not L2.
Lol, dude was on steroids here..😂😂
Yes my favourate collosus
Early moment btw nice work as always nomad
For some reason i like this fight more but where can i find the demo rom/iso ?
A bit late but can found in hidden palace or maybe in btfl server too
Supondo assim, a luta contra o avus então, ele não planaria quando você atirasse nele com o arco , ele seria derrubado.
