I also have the 131 in my 21 CVO trike, but the 131 crate motor. I have 8800 miles on mine with zero stock drivetrain issues. 4000 miles of that is pulling a 600 pound trailer also with no issues.
It does create quite a bit of heat pulling hills with the trailer 2 up so I have your cooling wings, Ultra Cool dual fan, thermostat controlled oil cooler, Love jugs ,and the rear Harley cooler. I bought my header and Power vision tuner from FUEL MOTO loaded with a 131 tune from a 2 wheel bike. a couple of short auto tunes and it is nearly perfect tuning. I just need to find a trike dyno in Oregon or surrounding states with in a days ride.
Nice! 👍😎👍
The more heat you get rid of, the stronger it will run!

Very good info, was this interview in Deadwood?
Yes, it was at Deadwood Custom Cycles during the 83rd Sturgis Rally. 👍
I have a question I’m hoping you can answer. I purchased a 2012 Road glide, twin cam 103. Previous owner (according to Harley) did a stage 2 upgrade, and put a new cleaner on and slip ons. Naturally assuming it was tuned for that, I would like to remove the baffles from those slip ons. Do I need a tuner on my bike to do so? And if so would an auto tune fix any issues air/fuel ratio from removing the baffles, or would I manually have to adjust? Thanks!
IF you have a good tune now, and if the aftermarket slip-ons have baffles that you can see thru, and if you put some Thunder Torque Inserts in there, you will not need a new tune.
However, if any of those if's above are not the case, then yes, you would need a tuner and a new tune. If the tune is close to good right now, then autotune will do the trick. If the tune is not good right now, then you would need a new tune....if you get a Power Vision at the following link, we will provide a tune for whatever set up you have. www.dkcustomproducts.com/dynojet-power-vision-flash-tuner-w-auto-tune-dk-pv-cmp-pkg.htm

hey Kevin! we need a speedo relo with a cutout to hold the power vision, I have the power vision off my bike cause is an eye sore on the handle bars.
Interesting idea. Can you email a sketch or more detailed description of what you are thinking?
@@DKCustomProducts will love too, I have a sportster with your speedo relocation. Will love to help out I think a lot of people will love this!
@@DKCustomProducts okey think about the speedo relocation with a slot ether up or down on the speedo relocation, I think I prefer down on it but that's just me. I will buy it and I'm pretty sure I won't be the only one.
Awesome! Thanks for the idea! 👍
@@DKCustomProducts also how about some cool belt guards? Haven't found one that I like yet.
hey, I am trying to place an order on the site, but every time I try to "check out" or "view cart" i get an "page doesn't exist" Error.
Thank you for the report. We have had orders placed on the website all during the time you mentioned, however, there may be something going on that we are not aware of. If you could please call or email with your details, we should be able to look and see what was going on.
It may be something as simple as needing to restart your computer, or it may be something on our end. We'd appreciate hearing from you.

I wonder what internals he used. I did my 131 kit on my trike over the winter and I changed all the item stuff stage 4 extreme CNC heads with over size valves, roller rockers with S&S studs head bolts, oil pump and cam plate , aluminum CNC ported 55 mm intake with 5.5 injectors and wood 77X cam. I also used a dark horse compensator plus I upgraded the clutch. I also have Vance and Hines head pipe with rinehart slip ons. My tune came from fuel Moto with my power vision. I’d like to think I got more than 113 hp as it feels like much more.
You can ask him on TrikeTalk.com
Unless you are running over 5200 rpm, what you feel is torque, not horsepower, here is a link to a video on that subject- ruclips.net/video/DOxzN8r35O4/видео.html
Sounds like you have done some really nice work to your Trike. Should be a blast to ride! 👍
Which cam did he use with the build
You can ask him on TrikeTalk.com. I believe he used the HD brand "torque cam".
Where did you get the 131 built?
Harley builds the 131...it is a crate engine purchased from Harley. Here is a link to one- www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/screamin-eagle-milwaukee-eight-131-performance-crate-engine-twin-cooled/p/16200522
In the interview on the video; he says that it’s not a crate engine.
