After playing lots of DR2.0, getting EA WRC at launch and then getting Generations a few weeks ago they all have their strong points. I'm using a Logitech wheel with settings I looked up online and adjusted to my preference. Right now I mostly play Generations, because of the online league system, the great tarmac feeling, the realistic gravel handling and the awesome stages. Weak points are sound design (big) and car/class selection.

I really enjoy this game quite a bit and the physics are fun. I can feel a difference coming from Dirt Rally 2.0 and even when playing EA WRC. What becomes frustrating is this games strange obsession with rain. While it's fairly easy to cross mount for snow/asphalt, or rain/asphalt. It becomes a chore when you don't have the weather prediction fully fleshed out and have to take a gamble. It also becomes frustrating on say Monte Carlo where it's asphalt, snow, AND rain. So it makes it almost needlessly challenging. Other than this games obsession with rain, I love the stages, the lengths, and the various cars. Especially Rally2. The layout of the main career mode is actually quite fun and has a very good RPG vibe to it. And of course, the graphics are phenomenal and leaps and bounds better than EA WRC.
Favorite rally game right now. It's really hard for me to go back to Dirt Rally 2 after playing this one. The overtune cars is something that kills DR2 for me.
I guess it really comes down to personal taste, I usually play Generations or NFS heat. 😄
@@Leonidec Yeah, I don't hate the game. But it's like playing Forza Horizon where the cars are overtune/faster for the sake of fun. Still both games are a better option than EA WRC 😅

This game feels better and more controllable on my g920 compared to something like dirt rally 2
Im a little bit confused here, I just ordered it for PS4 with a G29 setup but im reading very different opinion about it.
It's fine with the G29, I tested it on PS4 and pc and both worked fine, and it is a decent game :)
@Leonidec oh thank you! That's a relief, I mean, any rally game is extremely difficult compared to Gt7. I tried Dirt 2.0 and I was so frustrated by the difficulty, very small wheel to drive with and lack of handbrake and shifter, it makes it more difficult than already is.
@Leonidec oh one more question please: do you know how I can run G29 wheel with shifter AND handbrake on PS4? As far as I know I can only plug in only one of these things.
@lafaina79 I don't know about the handbrake, the shifter worked fine 🤔
If you're playing on a wheel, this game was broken from the gate with the throttle bug. Modulating the throttle is basically impossible.
I don't know I got it work pretty well without problems, when I tried it on the PS4 and PC.
I don't have that problem either on PC. Playing with a G27 btw.
Problem with this game is that developer dont support.

The developers couldn't have "moved on to the next WRC game", because they no longer hold the licence, and the next WRC game was developed by Codemasters.
Yes, I found that out later. My bad. :D But that makes it even weirder they don't update the game.

WRC Generations is a good rally game, but not so good to "die for" it. By my opinion WRC 10 is the best of the series, and it's very difficult. EA WRC is mediocre. If you want the best rally ever you should buy Dirt Rally.

Hahahaha, Dirt rally 2.0 was mentioned but not EA WRC, and Dirt's car physics are 'swivel on the centre point' unrealistic. I think WRC-G (and 10) are awesome

Dirt rally 2.0 and EA WRC has much better physics, i mean wrc-g i wouldnt even call sim, maybe its good for joystick players, but not for a wheel. Asphalt in wrc-g is like a gravel grip
