For the Omnibus dust covers for the volumes, I just go for whatever is cheapest or in stock, at an on line retailer. I am mostly just interested in getting to read the past issues at an affordable price.
You did a fantastic review, going through the book in a way that allows the viewers to have a good look at the amazing art and talking about the stories. 25 years ago I had most of the originals from issue 3 and up but my gambling addiction didn't allow me to keep them. It's good to know I can at least buy these incredible omnibuses and 3ventually have the entire run even if they are reprints. Thanks again for the terrific review.
I'm sorry to hear you lost those issues, but the omnis definitely provide the best substitute and allow for a great reading experience! Thanks for watching
Thanks for doing these videos. I must have watched 15 to 20 of them so far, and I've pretty much enjoyed each one. I really want to order the first two omnibuses of Spider-Man now once I get the funds.
Omnibus 's are the best buy a lot of the times a person can buy a $100.00 to $125.00 msrp , Omnibus for like $75.00 to $80.00 , when they first come out. It just gets pricey if you miss that particular Omnibus in your series and its out of print, then they want two to three times the msrp for the book.
@@TheComicBookTrove I agree! The cover you got is beautiful, but the standard cover for some reason appealed to me. Can’t wait to get this in the mail. Also, I really loved how you reviewed this book, great overview that touched on all the stories points. Eager to dive in!
Yes, thank you sir. I will be obtaining this omnibus number 5. Thank you for your review and time. 1-5, is my collection, where I stop on spidey. Because of growing up with these issues, so thanks again, my friend .
Thanks for the omnibus overview! Looks interesting but personally had to pass on this one since like 50 omnibi are coming out this month, haha (and Spidey ones get perpetually reprinted it seems).
I have just ordered it, however with the standard cover due to I couldn't find the classic cover here in the EU. I haven't read the stories so I had to leave the review due to you are revealing way to much of the stories. However, I got a great look of the drawings. Russ Andru is a great artist and the coloring is also great.
Is this the one where he finds out he has a clone from a different universe and they both go through a 2nd mutation, one turns into a six arm spider and the other one goes through a heroin addiction?
No, I'm not totally sure which story that is but there's been a couple of six armed Spidey stories since the original one in issue 100, but it's not in here anyway
ISS 151. It's considered gil kane but its a joint effort really by romita snr and kain. At this point romita was art director and mostly doing covers. The original artwork was sold at auction recently and both artists signatures are in the border. My guess is romita inked and did corrections with layout by kain
There's no confirmation about that but I don't see why they couldn't do a Volume 6, which could theoretically collect the issues between Volume 5 and the Roger Stern omnibus
Marvel needs to publish omnibus editions of Spider-Girl. "Mayday" Parker deserves a little love. The original 1970's Nova series deserves an Omnibus edition, too.
Nice review. I'm a huge fan of the Andru era of Spider-Man and consider this a must own Omnibus.

Oh I cannot wait to see your coverage on this one :)
I just ordered this omnibus, but the standard cover!
Nothing wrong with that cover, it's all about the material anyway!

I hope they come out with an Amazing Spider-Man Vol 6. I already have Omnibus 's 1 through 5.
I'm very sure it's just a matter of time before there's a Vol 6
Im getting 4 tomorrow! My first marvel omni! Hopefully they come out with 6 as well
Thanks for the omnibus overview! Looks interesting but personally had to pass on this one since like 50 omnibi are coming out this month, haha (and Spidey ones get perpetually reprinted it seems).
These are the tough decisions in this game! I'm sure this one will come around again in future with more printings. Thanks for watching!
love your collection! keep em coming!
Thanks for watching, there's plenty more to come in the future!

Wtf
Nice!! I have this on order from Reeds. Love that DM cover.
Has to be one of my favourite covers, do you know what issue it’s from and who drew it ?

Will this Omnibus #5 be the last publication or will it have more?

Yeah I'd like to see a Spider-Girl omnibus too. That original Nova series is getting an omnibus next year though!
Great review bud, Gav you a sub
Thanks, I really appreciate it 🙂
