My advice for live commentary, sometimes less is more. I studied live media and electronic communications in college so hopefully this advice is useful. You may have been nervous because you felt like there had to be a constant conversational stream, similar to how the scripted sections were written. That works well for the scripted sections because they typically consist of shorter clips and highlights, things are happening quickly and it requires a lot of narration.
When you play live though, you realize that not too much is actually happening moment to moment, especially if you're just holding 1st sitting on defensive items. You may feel pressured to fill that gap with extra narration, but you end up saying a lot without saying really much at all no offense. One trick you could try is imagine someone is watching you play and they're always asking you why you're doing what you're doing. Simply respond as if you're answering their questions. For example, why were you going around the outside of the pins on the final section of the map? Why did you hold onto the red shell when first place wasted his horn? Anyways, wishing for your continued success, congrats on the growth! Mad respect for putting yourself out there, it is SO hard to do.

Honestly non-live commentary is better for these type of videos. But live commentary is good for casual type of videos. But that’s just me tho. And i love the vids keep it up

Correct answer 98% of the time: +30... After getting +60 then -200, stopping, another -100, and then slowly grinding back to your starting VR you lost from getting hit by 6 Lag Items, spammy players, and a couple just regular fails at driving.
Correct answer 2% of the time: +200 because you found a 20-30k player in a lobby you were in and piggybacked off of them by getting into lobbies with respectable VR where you don't lose your mortgage for coming 9th for 1 race... Then those players aren't playing when you play anymore and you have to get into your usual lackluster lobbies until they aren't in the Friends List and you're stuck in the 98% category.
Yes my grind for 20k VR starting from 18.3k VR has been a nightmare. Thank you for asking. I've barely gotten to 19k after several months of trying.

I have 40k on there and I have gained a 1000 and lost a 1000 in a day and it all comes down to stragglers getting 3 lightning and 3 blue shells at the worst time for you
To add to that I have a friend who is max rank and it took him a year playing everyday since once you get above 60k you get few points for 3rd and above
