fun because i consider maple treeway as "nobody can hate maple treeway" seeing how i always see it in top tier in tier lists (i mean, i also do have it as one of my top 8, with one of the best music in the series), though i can respect people who don't like treeway i also personally don't really adore koopa cape, even in wii (though to be fair, wii has a stacked new track lineup), it's an alright track in wii that didn't fare as well in its 7 and 8dx incarnations; as well as moonview in 8dx (though i love it in wii and hoped for it in 8dx, it's nowhere near the best traffic course in 8dx, it was my monkey's paw)
My biggest issue with the city tracks is that with the exception of bangkok rush they are all either American European or from east asia. I would have died to see a track based around rio or cairo or delhi

Respectable rankings and opinions about the tracks, one of the best ranking vids I've seen but some of my favourite tracks in low tiers but still some good opinions on some tracks!
Must say i WTFed when i saw how low you put WiiBow, but critiquing for not being hard enough, extremely based imo i respect that. Also love you put toilet at #1, i love how different peoples top 5 list as compared to other mk games where pretty much everyone agrees on what the best maps are, just comes to show how many amazing tracks there are in this game. You have to keep in mind: these BCP tracks were first made for Tour, a game that plays differently from 8DX. Regarding your critique of Sunset Wilds, I just don't agree with the idea of it being 'lazily made' simply because it was shortened. It's a conscious design choice for redesigning a track over 20 years old at this point. As for the visuals, while not great, are certainly a step above the Wave 1 tracks. Compare it to something like Choco Mountain or Shroom Ridge. See what I mean?
if they can improve bc3 to the extent that they did, i don't see why they can't do the same with sunset wilds especially considering the fact that it's probably the much more popular track too
@@l1ammk Not every track needs to have a huge revamp, regardless of fan favourite status. A few flat and simple courses are a welcomed break from the more ambitious ones. As for Sunset Wilds, there's really not a whole lot you could do with it. The most you could do is restore the sunset gimmick and add the Swoops from the Tour version, but even that wouldn't do that much. Sunset Wilds doesn't exactly have the same potential for a remake as, say, Sky Garden or Ribbon Road.
Baby Park really hasn't been the same since Double Dash. The original track had only a small bump in the middle rather than full on guard rails, which allowed items to cross over to the other side of the course, and Double Dash had special items like the big banana and Bowser shell, which blended amazingly with this open middle. Removing special items and adding a guard rail in the middle completely gutted the course back in DS, and giving it anti-gravity in 8 didn't really fix it. It's just a boring oval with nothing really special about it now. The Double Dash version is peak. The rest of this video is just insane though. Some of these rankings are completely baffling. Also, the uptalk is really irritating. Sounds like every sentence is a question.
Late comment but the oil fields in Los Angeles are actually pretty iconic in cinema. Lots of great scenes from classic movies use the LA oil fields as the setting and so I actually thought it was cool to see Nintendo include them in LA Laps
Great Ranking, I can agree of Wii RR being ease-ified in 8DX, but Madrid, Squeaky, and Singapore are my favorite tracks in this game, their so good and exciting to play when they get picked online.

I actually bought the booster pass after coming across this video! 3DS rainbow road, ninja hideaway, yoshi's island, dk mountain, and amsterdam drift were my favorite new ones i played and most of those are probably in my top 10 courses now (i'd hafta think about it) great video with some really unique and different rankings!

I'm surprised that you didn't bring up the WORST part about n64 Yoshi Valley is the removal of the the mystery placement gimmick. The thing that made path selection so fun in the original is that you didn't know which one was best, revealing who you overtake or who overtakes you mid race destroys the entire gimmick
I have 4 S+ Tiers and 4 F- Tiers. The S+ are DK Summit, Super-Bell Subway, Kalimari Desert, and Sunshine Airport. The F- are MC3, Sunsetless Wilds, Toad Circuit, and Wario Stadium.
Very good tier list! The best I've seen in my opinion. I was also surprised how much I agreed on many parts, especially on the worst, best and tour tracks. Personally, my top 3 best tracks are: 1. DK Summit 2. Madrid Drive 3. DK Mountain And my 3 worst: 94. Excitebike Arena 95. N64 Rainbow Road 96. Toad's Turnpike
Finally, someone else here who hates Yoshi Circuit. It's so overrated. All you do is drive on a road. There's no anti-gravity, no glider ramps, barely any enemies beside some piranha plants, and there's only like one shortcut that's actually fun to take. I'd put Yoshi Circuit at #94.
