  • Breaking trail with very little snow can lead to a lot of tangles in the tuckamores. But the narrow nimble Tundra's are able to wiggle through with ease. Hope you enjoy this ride-along as we break trail with little snow.

I'm not sure what is going on but in years gone by we would have more snow in the middle of Nov then we've been getting the last 3 years in the end of Jan... Now don't get me wrong, a part of me, a very big part of me wishes we'd get a lot less snow to clear out of the driveway, but then when you get on the ski-doo everything about the snow seems right and you find yourself looking and wishing for more snow... I'm so confused.... LOL

This is why I want a snowmobile! Not for groomed trails! Terrible year for snow in NS too, very icy and thin in the northwest, Cape Breton is better. Looks like a system is on the way in though! Let's hope it doesn't turn into rain this time!

I love slowly picking your way through the country on the Tundra, but it's tough going around the bogs where we normally ride over snow covered tuckamores/Stunted black spruce trees. Their branches get so entangled with the trees next to each other it gets extremely hard to pick a spot you can squeeze through.
