I love how in the Sims 3, you don't have to fill a house with clutter and detail in order to make it feel lived in. Sims 4 feels so empty feeling, you have to clutter ever surface to try bring it to life.

22:50 I subtract one personal point from this house because my sims would always wash their dishes in that small bathroom instead of the kitchen because that sink is closer 😄
i had a lime green room as a kid too! Aurora Skies has one of the prettiest environments imo, it's a shame the snow is broken and ugly af here, especially considering it's Icelandic theme
@@aturchomicz821 I tried using it once but the world was completely broken for me, weird graphic glitches were visible on the map view. I don't really know how to 'decrapify' store items so that may be the reason tho

I tried watching this one last night after a really sad day but ended up falling asleep to it...that's not an insult, it's actually a compliment. I have insomnia and most of those asmr sleep videos don't help me relax. Bathtubs come with a shower faucet and handle here in europe. I think at the time of Sims 3 they were more common and bathrooms were usually made with having just them in mind. Now, as of writing, showers are more popular. More and more people (including my family) rather decide having just showers, some do both.
i agree... I think most contemporary homes have both shower and bath options (usually the same plumbing here too, a tub with a shower attached so u stand in the tub), but of course EA only uses 1 or the other lol

This was my favorite world in Sims 3! I used to put a spot at the top of the hill, build a tiny little house and enjoy how pretty the view was. The skies were always so amazing! Loved the review!

I love the yellow and orange house! It's really pretty! I also really like the green/gray combo. Red + Pink is only ok for young children and Valentine's Day.
it's all yours, it's not for me haha... i liked the grey they used, but just not the green combo (maybe a deep purple or a roasty orange is more my style with it)
I have an idea for you for after you finishing rating all the houses in the game. You should do a like house reno series. Take the worst of the worst and fix it up but keep the vibes of the original house. So only miminal structural changes as if it was a real reno but like different paint, floors, better items, better space usage, etc. But not just bulldoze the lot but like edit it to not suck. Just an idea but I'd LOVE to see how you fix them up!!! 💜
i think that's what id like to do as a separate series... i was going to take the ugliest starter home (trust me, every world has a couple lol) and then yes, i'll fix it up to make it the same, but nice and still a starter x

I played with this world once and I guess I wasn't very lucky because I moved to a really ugly house. I wish I had chosen another one because most of the houses you showed so far are really really gorgeous!
I have owned this world for years, and have yet to fully play in it, but while the housing structures are not my style, I do find some intricate designs within. I also agree that the lack of showers is quite quite annoying. 🤞, that you will give your opinion of the daycare, and get to catch the night time view (it is breathtaking, if I am remembering correctly).
Actually the fireplace and blinds are base game! But yes I love both of them I use them quite a bit :) I'll have to get this world sometime because I love the concept!
i spend so much time in create a style i dont think ive come across every item... usually i am just recolouring the same things, thank you im gonna use those blinds everywhere then since everyone will have them in their game
The series are baaaack! I love this world as well especially because it reminds me of a lot of the Nordic Countries(which i love and hope to visit again) Edit: Except the second house, i guessed all the points correctly :) Im getting better
ive been playing in it this last month, and i kept avoiding looking at the houses... honestly i expected worse, EA doing red square houses was not something I thought they would pull off haha
That hostel house was just too much for me. I agree with you, but if you playing a legacy it will be good use though. Great review and cant wait to see more 😊
Loved the review so far! WOW, I give it to EA; they were really rocking some of those bold retro/pastel color palettes. I'm always a sucker for darker tones or neutral with one or two accent colors, but I am very impressed!
i completely agree... i couldn't find an official aurora skies trailer so I figured it was a good time to use generations since it didn't come with it's own world
it may require a little troubleshooting (google is your friend), it's an older game and if you're on a newer computer you should at the very least, do a fresh install and match your graphics card (back up your saves and stuff first)
@@Bulkleybull22 make sure in the launcher it "loads with custom content" box checked... also make sure you "install" it with the launcher after downloading it

its a shame that with all the store content and packs the sims 3 just is barely playable(the load times are awful) which is i have to give credit to the sims 4 with all the packs and dlc the load times do remain consistant.

I read that it’s the issue with the sea level so you have to go into CAW to change it or download a version someone has changed and it will be fixed

ive been playing in it this last month, and i kept avoiding looking at the houses... honestly i expected worse, EA doing red square houses was not something I thought they would pull off haha
That hostel house was just too much for me. I agree with you, but if you playing a legacy it will be good use though. Great review and cant wait to see more 😊
honestly it would be a good house if you used mods to have 12 or 16 sims in your household too lol
Loved the review so far! WOW, I give it to EA; they were really rocking some of those bold retro/pastel color palettes. I'm always a sucker for darker tones or neutral with one or two accent colors, but I am very impressed!

i completely agree... i couldn't find an official aurora skies trailer so I figured it was a good time to use generations since it didn't come with it's own world

Does anyone know how to remove the lazy duchess smooth patch? Mine is crashing every time I come out or build mode 😞
it has to be launched each time you play (it doesnt "fix" the game files permanently), so use the regular launcher if it's giving you trouble
How does your sims 3 still load mine doesn’t even launch and I have no cc downloaded 💔
it may require a little troubleshooting (google is your friend), it's an older game and if you're on a newer computer you should at the very least, do a fresh install and match your graphics card (back up your saves and stuff first)
Random question. How did you get aurora skies to download? Your video inspired me to play again and I can’t get it into my game…
Did you buy it from the sims 3 store?
@@Rekowcski yes! I have tried downloading it into the launcher and it says it downloads, but then I launch the game and it is not actually there.

@@Bulkleybull22 make sure in the launcher it "loads with custom content" box checked... also make sure you "install" it with the launcher after downloading it

what in the devil got into them when making every other world when it's clear they KNEW how to get colors right all along....
it bothers me lol... how could they make rainbow boxes harmonize like this... but a sunset valley house has a minimum 4 ugly colours/textures smooshed together

yes that's the plan... from my experience, the empty houses are way uglier lol

its a shame that with all the store content and packs the sims 3 just is barely playable(the load times are awful) which is i have to give credit to the sims 4 with all the packs and dlc the load times do remain consistant.

The Aurora Light in Sims 4 is 😱 Horrifically Lagging and the Lagging effect not only the game also the entire OS. Still unplayable now.

yes, but dont the tubs usually have a shower too? i guess it depends on which country or region, i just can't imagine ONLY being able to take a bath haha

it was legalized in 2010, so it was still pretty fresh i guess haha... but i was thinking maybe there is more to the story because sims 2 and 3 like to hide lore EVERYWHERE haha
