I suspect you've already gotten this question before, so I apologize, but what is the story with you hating that bookshelf? 🤔 You know the one, *the* bookshelf
It has these ugly golden giraffes that I cannot stand. Plus it’s wayyyy too big. Give me a 1 tile please, and with books and maybe some more “typical” decor
@@Rekowcski haha, I see now, my poor aesthetic sense didn't see anything wrong with it. Great vid as always btw!
@@Rekowcski i personally dont find it that ugly or bad i like the golden giraffes 🦒
I am concernedly addicted to this series and I cannot eat without watching you complain about green bathrooms for 40 minutes
omg same here haha currently watching this while having dinner
I’m glad to hear! I have 2 or 3 channels that are my “eating” video creators haha
I am from Egypt, sadly from Cairo so I didn't see this kind of architecture up until I visited the south of Egypt (Luxor and Aswan), where the architecture kind of resembles the architecture in Sudan (because Sudan and Egypt were one country at some point in history). Up in the north the architecture is entirely different. Alexandria for example looks a lot like Athens because it's a "Greek" city named after Alexander the Greatest and built by the ancient Greeks. In Cairo every neighborhood has different architectural styles, city plan, etc. I grew up in the British district built for British soldiers back then when we were colonized by them and is full of mid-century modern and art deco buildings. The downtown area is Parisian because it was built by the French people. The neighborhood where my mum grew up was built by a Belgium billionaire so the architecture there resembles the "luxury" apartment buildings from his hometown. Giza, where the pyramids are, are basically huge blocks of practical, yet ugly, buildings because it was made for the huge amount of farmers who moved to the city and needed accommodation. Another part is ottomanian so they have a specific style of windows where you can look out on the street but no one on the street can look in, they don't have back gardens/only courtyards so no one would peak on the women inside because the ottomans were way too religious and traditional.
I can go off and write an entire essay about the architectural styles in Egypt but in conclusion they combined the pyramids of Giza in the north of Egypt with the architectural style in the south of Egypt.
And yes, we have pigeons in Egypt. In my mum's apartment she adds bird feed in their food bowls every morning by every window and balcony and they like to hangout there till the evening. I can guarantee you, they are real pigeons and not the conspiracy theory digital pigeons that spy on us all 😂
Thank you omar, I read the whole thing and this was very informative. I know the vague history of Egypt, but this brings it all into perspective. So many styles and historical influences. Also I could see from the map that Egypt is such a large country so of course there are going to be differences place-to-place. Maybe it’s good that EA included a couple Egyptian regions/styles mixed together, personally I like the practical “sand cube” style of the EA houses, I would have been upset with certain styles if it threw off cohesion... especially Parisian since we just looked at France haha
So you know where dios palace is?
That's so fascinating!! I never knew different parts of Egypt were ruled by different countries like the rest of Africa, but now it seems obvious. I'm sadly only familiar with the stereotypical architecture, so seeing French style houses in the middle of the desert would throw me off so much.
I know this is an old video but... In hot desert areas we are very aware that "light makes heat" and we keep the lights off as much as possible and often have very few lights in a room. Because we don't want to add to the heat of a house that is already so very very HOT. So it is possible they purposely left off lights. We actually have more lights outside than in our living room.
I know the builds are bad, but I always liked visiting France because of the scenery, wine-making, and Vespas! It felt very fancy and worked well for Sims who wanted to go on family vacations but weren't into the exploring/adventure aspect.
i agree, it's very nice especially from outside, each street is dense with the builds so you dont feel like you are in a "sims world" , in real life, buildings are super close together
I miss nectar making so much!! I would pay even if they gave me a nectar making kit in ts4, it was my favourite activity from this pack.
I'm also surprised EA didn't use more of the pack furniture, especially the beds! There's an Egyptian themed bed with workable swatches right there!
They used a couch with heiroglyphics in FRANCE, but not Egypt lol. Personally I love the funky stone toilet, I think it could have been used in most of these builds
To be honest, I think everyone picked france so that we can suffer together.
I always liked Al Simhara the most.
Love your videos.
Egypt was actually last place, but I wanted to do it second, i feel like it was EA's main focus

Remaining worlds:
Barnacle Bay, Hidden Springs, Lunar Lakes, Sunlit Tides, Dragon Valley, Oasis Landing, vacation world
The Cornflower House has a tomb entrance in the courtyard, so that's why there's nothing in there.
The Date Palm House also has a tomb entrance in the shed. I'm not sure the children can access the toybox or the second bed in that room.
One thing I hate about these worlds is that there is nothing to do in these worlds but shop, raid tombs, and fish. I like to add a couple of community lots to the worlds, like playgrounds and waterparks.
Community lots sounds like a great idea. Im not certain, but I assume that we would be able to add them in ourselves... maybe a museum would be fun
Raid thombs is the purpose of Egypt!!
I feel like while France was awful at least the majority of the shells were pretty (relatively speaking). I remember a gorgeous build in egypt but I think its a holiday house to buy, so its sad the premades live in mini dungeons.
I think in some worlds, the empty premade houses are stronger (like the vacation worlds), but other worlds, the empty builds are much worse
Clicked so freakin fast! World adventures was always one of my favorite packs!
I enjoyed Egypt more than France... I'm terrified to see what EA thinks China is lol
The Sycamore house is the most memorable one for me, not because of how ugly it is but because the couple living there had a husband constantly yelling at the wife, like every step the wife took the husband would just scream at her face, it was both saddening and hilarious. So I pretty much spent the whole day tormenting the husband haha
It’s hilarious in the context of the sims, I like when weird things like that happen, it adds a dramatic flare to the world.
Babies don't exist in the adventure worlds. Even if you have a baby with a local woman it's going to be born as a child, skipping the infant and toddler phase. So it's kinda funny they put cribs in the houses
Oh my goodness I didn’t even know that... I will keep this in mind when I film China!
Just caught up on this one! Lol.being in a hospital bed does have advantages..lol.
I personally was surprised and impressed with the effort put into this one! Because of all that effort and talent, I've never been able to feel like I could criticize any of it. I felt like all the coolness outweighed any negative.
Just wait until you see "china". Torii and koi ponds are all over the place, despite being japanese. I put sarcastic gongs as sound effects just like EA haha
@@Rekowcski oh I play sims 3 all the time! I love taking my sims on adventures but don't get me started on how excited I was to go to china....only to see all the Japanese stuff. They really should have shelled out for a Chinese decorators advice when doing this one. I'm sure all our Chinese players got a he'll of a laugh over the people who designed this one! Lol
@@crystalmeier6579 i love chinese style, it's so regal... but unfortunately EA is a bunch of californians haha
I May prefer France as an actual _Vacation_ destination, but Egypt is definitely the one with more excitement. Ironically, if this video is any indication.
Plus it has Layla Lufti who is the perfect Sim I like to poach to have a cute Arab Sim for an explorer.
Oh the builds are completely independent of other factors, you are totally right. I think twinbrook is perhaps the ugliest sims 3 world, but ambitions is still my top EP in terms of game play and stuff to do.
I like keeping “tourists on” so you can get other sims to marry or makeover. Fun fact the Calientes are half Arab (their mother) which is kind of fun... especially with the 1/4 alien haha
You have totally inspired me to play Sims 3. I finally remember how to build a house LOL and built a home in Roaring Heights, going on world adventures and came across some wild horses, I am having so much fun! Love your videos, thank you
I just met an Egyptian for the first time the other day. I wonder if she would be offended by EA’s version of Egypt lol
I haven’t had any comments from someone saying they are from Egypt yet... I’m somewhat confident that it wasn’t insensitive... most houses looked like sunset valley / riverview inside, it wasn’t like they lived in pyramids hahah
Always wondered that especially the way these Middle Eastern people look they're not really dressed and what would be modern Middle Eastern style and the fact that there isn't a hijab it was like EA was a scared to put a hijab. And probably for its time that was true. It's kind of like the Niqab or burqa. Now and there's a bit more awareness that they have an international image. Don't get me started with their china-ish world 🤦
@@milliedragon4418 i always keep a cc set of basic hijabs... as for cultural representation, keep in mind this was 2009 USA so of course "World Adventures" may not age as well as we would like
ALSO the symbol you click in the game to go to china... it's apparently from japanese architecture not chinese lol so get ready for "assorted asian land" aka Shang Simla
this is my favorite channel and video genre now! can’t stop watching this, keep going please!
I’m glad you enjoy it, I hope it becomes a more popular concept haha x
this has become my fav sims channel i’ve been binging all your vids 😅
Thank you that’s the best comment I’ve gotten all day x hope you enjoy!
You should explored this house with BuyDebug enabled, since some of them have secret areas you can't see without that cheat (since they have the secret room marker).
love seeing your channel grow!! xoxo
Thank you, it’s so exciting, I hope I’ve inspired people to check out sims 3!
I’ve been binging your vids and lives and I am obsessed I love your videos!
Awe thank you so much!
This is awesome, I love ur commentary!
Thank you x
I’m currently in sims Egypt working on my vacation house! Love world adventures so much 🥳
I’m glad you are having fun!
I played in Egipt yesterday and I thought about your videos so now I'm here watching 😂
Not me binging all of your build reviews 🤭 im new and loving your content!💜
Welcome and sorry the old ones are awkward :p
The sims 1/2/3 with packs looks much better than The sims 4.
Sims 1 is more fun for me to play than sims 4... honestly I only like sims 4 building, but I never play in them.
Random question: is Kyle a Ragdoll (a flamepoint Ragdoll, to be exact)? He's so striking and gorgeous! Awesome video as always!
man i love you and your videos
thank you, that's very kind x
I'll always remember someone sold this at my local carboot sale when it was new with 1000 simpoints for £2. Couldn't believe my luck!
Well done! Best deal, you would NEVER get a bargain like that from EA
Al Simhara def has some of the prettiest houses and tombs. I always save the furniture and wallpapers and floors from here.
Since this is Egypt, the hay is probably for theoretical camels.
Camels would have been fun. Like riding them to the pyramids or something
😭 i just saw world adventures on sale at walmart yesterday (? ? !) and now this the universe is telling me something. anyways great vid!
It’s the universe speaking to you I think
I am playing this pack for the first time ever and it instantly became my favorite pack
It is many people’s favourite EP, which I didn’t realize... but it appears to be the strongest travel pack in the sims
Is Kyle a flame point siamese/ragdoll? (Or another breed along those lines). He's stunning 😍😍
Yes and Maine coon!
@@Rekowcski Oh that explains the fluffiness!
Why does no one own a tv? Like it’s 2009 Egypt, not ancient Egypt
I thought about that too, but they can have a stainless Steel oven apparently lol
Hello!! i'm late, but been busy and now I get to catch up and here we are in Egypt 🥰...
Get ready for Shang Simla, I hope to have it ready this week x
Hi I sort of recently found your channel and I absolutely love it so much, and these vids where you judge the sims 3 worlds and builds is so much fun and make me so nostalgic for the game it's insane! Used to play it all the time back in the day, but now I just play sims 4 when it actually works which currently is not much at all haha, but I have put too much work into it to give up on it now xD but I got a question! With the playlist where you judge and rate all these worlds, the videos are not in order at all, it's a bit of a mess and while watching through it I have to manually choose the correct order of the videos, and so I wonder if that could possibly be fixed? As I got a habit of rewatching vids I really enjoy and I would love to have it be a bit easier when I rewatch these!
Thank you so much, yes I don’t play the sims 4 anymore I just don’t find it fun and it’s always breaking randomly (and auto updating lol)
I apologize, The playlist is in order from newest to oldest by world, so it’s the opposite order. I think you can flip it in RUclips settings but I do like having the oldest hidden at the bottom bc they aren’t as good :X
@@Rekowcski Anytime! yeah so wish it didn't break as much as it do but alas not much can be done haha xD and it's alright! And really I did not know that, I usually do not really touch settings and stuff as I got a habit of messing things up haha, but I will give it a try! and hey they might not be as good but they are still very enjoyable!
You deserve more subscribers
Thank you I get a few more each day, hope you enjoyed :)
If you noticed all 3 World Adventure worlds use plant names to name ALL the houses! I love it.
This is definitely a step up from Champs Les Sims. I like the more muted tone, using less textures and the architecture that made more sense. Not sure if it is "Egyptian" but I do like it anyways.
It is absolutely a step up. The builds were about 90% furnished as well, compared to champ’s 50ish%
I am terrified for Shang Simla... As we previously discussed, it’s probably going to be general hodgepodge of Chinese with Japanese elements thrown in, as if they were the same thing. EA is not known for their research, nor development.
@@Rekowcski tbh with their worlds and research they did a lot better in ts4. The sims 3 was all very hinted at and generic.
what about the pyramids? exploring those WA quest lots was one of my fav parts of ts3
Not really sure if these lots were better than France's, but I know for a fact that I am scared for China! 🙈
Saving the “best” for last... the logo for the icon to go to China is actually a Japanese thing, so I’m expecting something like “general Asian land made by Americans” lol
@@Rekowcski Oh gosh, you are right about that. I forgot that they used a Shinto archway to represent China. Even all the Chinatowns I've been to throughout the states managed to get the correct style of archway. 😑
Hi Rekowcski! Lol they love that bookshelf, they use it a lot for decorating the houses.
I think the houses are bit dark inside, not many lights.
So, how's your move going?
Mostly done, everything is in my new house, just need to organize a few more parts haha. Thank you for asking x
“There’s pigeons in England” made me laugh 😂 they’re bloody everywhere
I thought so because they are basically rats with feathers
@@Rekowcski so true
i want to imagine that sims 3's open world is the last patch/update from sims 4 🤣
is truly beautiful and feels bigger
sims 4 is nothing but a beautiful downgrade unfortunately ):
I used to really love al simhara and champs les sims
20:51 The alakan bull worm from spongebob making her debut appearance
i just googled what that was hahah, spot on!
Not sure about this one but I feel like you've missed some of the purchaseable houses from the French world 🤔 Or do you only check occupied houses here as well? I just feel like those purchaseable houses should be held to a higher standard since you're actually supposed to spend time in them whereas in regular worlds all the houses are kinda equal
Well, yes, he is currently only rating occupied houses. However, season 2 with vacant lots is already planned.
And I'm already intrigued by the second season's vacant houses too.)
I thought I was gonna hate WA but it was surprisingly very enjoyable. Much fun
Yes, me too. I think I will be playing it through the next time I make a family
Oh good another game that portrays Egypt as desert dwellers years behind other countries and of course the pyramid is in the middle of the desert too
Get ready for “genera Asian land designed by Americans”... I mean Shang Simla
@@Rekowcski shang simla? U have got to be joking
@@guardianoftheduat the logo for it is actually japanese so it's off to a bad start lol
@@Rekowcski why do I feel like it's just edo period Japanese palaces and geishas
@@guardianoftheduat we shall see, i'll film it this week for sure.
Why dont you review the buyable vacational lots as well?
Because season 2
I've only seen one build but anything is better than Champs le Sims only because they're not french.
I like French interior style... however we didn’t see any lol
Is it just me or did you miss two major houses a little away from the city? Kinda mansion/mosques lookings. They are in my game?
He does occupied lots, those are both for sale.
@@Life_Universe_Everything I see. Wish he had done all lots though :)
Unoccupied is season 2
I loved living my Lara Croft fantasy out in this pack
I had an n64 not a PlayStation so I was always jealous of my friends who could play Lara Croft tomb raider haha
did you know that boswellia is Frankincense? 😄
Omg I had no idea! Haha I know frankincense from church as a kid haha
Poor Al Simhara, I have nothing to say about it. Ultimate neutral for me, but it's fine I guess. Are you still making your world btw? It's quite time consuming.
I am not seriously pursuing it at the moment, life is a bit hectic, but I hope on every once in a while and will eventually get it done I hope haha
Cmon the first houses were worse than the ones you give them a 4 or 6, you just become a lot more critical out of the blue
Tbh i suggested France first because i thought the builds looked so pretty from the outside and the community lots are actually well done, i never bothered to look much into the townies' houses so to see them all so empty was disappointing. Al Simhara was always the world i played the least but from the outside, the builds looked bland and uninspiring so I didn't think they were actually pretty on the inside. As far as China, well, every lot looks like a temple, and TS3 doesn't reeeally give you all the tools to make temples look great (or at least as great as they can look in TS4). It all looks a little janky and weird.
The French builds absolutely have the best exteriors, China is going to be a disaster I think, I am excited. Sims 3 temple houses, ooof
I like to have my female sims marry Youssef Naji because he makes good looking kids.
I hate you 😭 You gave me nostalgia and now looking at how TS4 ruined the Sims franchise, it’s a salt in the wound. Oh and btw, those buildings were done more carefully and maybe with more care. Seeing TS4 pre-made houses makes me wanna laugh or cry. I don’t know 😂 It’s like they make them 5’ before the work day ends.
don't blame me, it's EA who ruined everything hahaha
sims 4 builds... oooof, get the tall wall height ready
@@Rekowcski toiletless bathrooms, stairs that lead to nothing and random deco throughout the building.
"stairs to nothing" - realm of tragic
@@Rekowcski I love you 😂❤️
The Egyptian water is not supposed to be that color so you might have a water mod or there might be a glitch
it's probably the lighting mod i use, i think it changes the water too
No, it's alright, just one of ten Egyptian plagues thing.
You’re not objective at all!! to give punctuation
Terrible pack. I remember it glitched my two saves back in the day, years of playing :(
