Speaking of destroy all, my favorite green card in that category, is called “Fade from history” it’s just rampage of the clans, but each player who post something gets one 2/2 bear, instead of a bunch of beasts.
I will always be devoted to Black, but I have a healthy respect for green every time I play against a mono green deck. Golgari is my favorite combo next to Rakdos. After this I’ll check out your monobkack video
Thanks for the watch and make sure to check out my other videos! Green is just to powerful to ignore. Whenever I sit down with a green deck at the table I am always worried about how fast they will ramp. If you like Golgari and Rakdos, what about Jund??
@@Azoreign I don’t usually go three color but Jund would be the one for me. I’ve been thinking about making a goblin tribal deck with the Shatterbang bros.
Here’s a comment for the algorithm! But a ramp you missed out on is the three mana, strictly better roiling regrowth, Entish restoration! It’s regrowth, but if you have four power you also get a third land (:
I found this video to be interesting and helpful, but it doesn't really answer the question posed in the title. What are the reasons to play mono-green? Fun? Fast? Aggressive? No-nonsense? Shouldn't you have started with a list of mono-green commanders? "These mono-green commanders are fun to play!" Yisan, Marwyn Selvala, Vorinclex, etc. What are the archetypes? What are the win-cons? Best-performing decks? This is more of a "Best Green Cards" video.
MisterWebb, you do pose some very good questions that I need to ask myself when coming up with video ideas. I believe that most of the questions that you have asked could even be their own videos some day. You have given me some great advice that I need to keep in the forefront of my mind when formulating my next video. Thank you for your feed back!
Just want to point out that Farseek doesn't do anything in mono green. You also can't play the dual lands as they have other colors in their identities.
From the perspective of a green player, this was a disjointed to 100 list that doesn’t really cover how green is awesome. The video just covers top green cards.
The video subject wasn't really "how green is awesome" it was why you should play mono green. And this video was seeking to highlight, more or less, the fact that Green answers every question when it comes to deck building. I was seeking to show case how easy it is to address all the different aspects of an EDH deck by using only green cards.
Reshape the Earth + Nissa, Resurgent Animist is sooooo satisfying. My mono green deck gets faster and faster every month or so. Really verging on somewhere between CEDH and ver high power. I run the Quirian Ranger + Ashaya infinite combo with Nissa, Resurgent Animist as my commander so I get to them quickly. I’m actually debating detuning the deck because it’s getting a little too spicy for my playgroup.
I really like this video. Very useful. I just have to mention that Serene Heart only destroys all Auras. All other enchantments stay on the battlefield . Reduces its usefulness a lot.
Funny thing.. Budget wise it is viable to use this.. as someone joining 100usd commander tourneys using this instead of Three Visits can be more viable due to price
Thank you for this I just picked up my first reserved list card as far as I know Femeref Enchantress for the enduring enchantments precon and I love my mono green omnath deck I've been pondering other RL cards to pick up that were reasonable and useful 😊
Keep making content, this is great. You’re very knowledgeable.
Appreciate it @jakemikosh3696.

Board wipes in mono green are always nice!

Playing Black is the easy mode of MTG

Lands you control means lands on the field under your control, the effect doesn't affect lands in the deck
Thank you for the video!
Good stuff, can't wait for Mono Red!
Debating on which one should be last. This comment may have pushed Red up in the order.
Same! Mono red in commander is it's own beast
Love this video ❤, I still have my mono green commander deck since 2014 😎 and my first ever commander
Extremely helpful, thank!
A video going over mana dorks would be fun!
Ashaya mention! She's by far my favourite commander! So much fun
Here’s a comment for the algorithm! But a ramp you missed out on is the three mana, strictly better roiling regrowth, Entish restoration! It’s regrowth, but if you have four power you also get a third land (:
Funny enough, almost right after this video I was looking through the LOTR cards and I was like "Yo! Entish Restoration is HOT!"
Serene Heart only destroys "Local Enchantments" AKA "Auras".
Didn't mention skull spore nexus, really nice for making the bodies of your creatures stick around longer

I love reaveal the top x of library and put a land or creature into your hand

I haven't even watched the video and I'm already convinced, green has dinosaurs in it.
Vorinclex is in almost every mono green deck right now.

Serene Heart actually only hits Aura Enchantments. Still a nice card but much more situational.

Very true, but it is hard to find some true board wipes in mono green. So I went with anything I could find that fit the bill.
6:35 are you SURE you wanna play Farseek in a monogreen deck? :)
I think I just wanted to highlight how good Farseek is. But due to this comment, I will be forcing Farseek into all my mono green decks from now on 🙃
Funny thing.. Budget wise it is viable to use this.. as someone joining 100usd commander tourneys using this instead of Three Visits can be more viable due to price
Even Budget wise, farseek fails to find any land in a mono green deck. Forests can’t be searched for with the spell. Get it?
@@rorschach1 clarifying I'm not talking about mono-green in my case
@@kitgar if you are not mono-green farseek is a staple... of course it would be viable

Green is the best color to get creatures from your deck and play
Restore i never see this op card before, thanks to show me
Sir, there WAS no Oracle of Muldaya in the early days.
Well, the "early days" from this EDH youngster!
I draw more cards with my mono green hydras deck than most blue decks i play against.
did any1 ever need to be convinced of green beeing a fun colour?!
Best land ever printed? It’s on a list. But honestly Tolarian Academy exists
Best land in edh? Definitely
