    Hey friends, Pastor Fred here. Again, I may never need this info, but then again it may help in another situation. Thank you for spending the time to teach us. Love the message at the end!!!

    Tony that was a great explanation of how the hydraulics are routed and how they function. You missed your calling bro. Very good education for us that don't have a lot of nut and bolt knowledge, and how things work. Definitely a game changer for the tractor. Thanks buddy.

    Thank you, Tony and Tanja! Always great info!. My LS has a Summit diverter in its future to run my grapple. That will free up one of the rear remotes. Both are used now, one for the grapple (which is a pain to operate because I have to let go of the loader joystick and fumble down on my right side of the seat to get to the little spool control lever), and the other controls my hydraulic top link. I might still add this valve set up you have - you can't have enough rear remotes!

    Just a suggestion, but might want to think about a rubber grommet where the wires go through the plastic cover so they don't wear. Video is very informative. What are your thoughts on the LS brand?

    Tony, your videos are just the best. I just feel good after I watch them. Referencing a higher being, a greater calling may have something to do with it. Anyway, i'm interested in your thoughts about the best hydraulic setup for a T25 w/ grapple, top link and ditch flail mower. I have been talking with Summit, they recommend a 4 spool rear remote kit, 3 toggle box for the flail and top link and using the joystick handle buttons for grapple. I'm a bit concerned about the size of the 4 spool rear remote and also running hoses from it for the grapple. I've seen your videos but not sure how you put it all together on your T25.. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

  • @ShadeTreeMachinist

    Hello Tony, have a question - how do you reverse the flow of hydraulics on one cylinder? Is the toggle switch two way? Meaning moving the switch one direction the piston on the cylinder moves out and moving the switch to the opposite position moves the piston in. Try to understand how this really works. Thanks in advance! Also, Outstanding video!!!!

    Thanks for the video. I have a T25 and am considering getting the offset flail mower. I have a couple of questions. I am assuming that you added a Tee in the P connection to serve the loader as well as the new valves and then another Tee in the T line. Is this correct? I couldn’t see a Tee in the video.
    Did you consider manual valves in lieu of electronic? I wonder if a manual valve with float would be better for the level adjustment for the mower.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  2 года назад

      Damon,
      "T" in hydraulics stands for Tank (Return to Tank) and P stands for Power Beyond (Pressure). I would never recommend putting a tee, but always putting the next item in between. A float valve in small tractors are very rare, and will not work with this mower. The solid top link sets the cutter height.

    Hey Tony. I have never I stalled anything like this before but I just got my remote kit for my T25. Am I wrong when I feel like when I go to get my hydraulic hoses made I will need the female English thread for the T line and a male English thread for the P line? I know you mentioned the fitting but I guess my comprehension level is low on this kind of stuff. I’d rather ask a question and get verification than go and spend money twice because I didn’t understand something. Love the channel. Thank you for you videos.

    Thanks for the clear explanation.
    I've got a T25 coming... it's going to have a hyd top and side link. That is two remotes right there. Then I have an offset flail mower. Any opinions on how to handle that.
    I wouldn't need the top and side links when running the flail, would it be better to unplug them each time I mow or is there any reason I wouldn't want to do this other than the hassle of reconnecting each time? or should I get a 4 port kit

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  2 года назад

      I don't have any experience with the running the side link. The price difference between the 4 port and three port is not that big. I am interested in how you are setting up your rig. I have never seen a side link that small.

      I can send some pics once I get it, the dealer is ordering the parts.
      Spoke with him yesterday and he said it would be ok to just have two ports, though I lean toward having the hoses always connected but it seems either option will work.

    Tony, after looking on Summit Hydraulics webpage, the two station remote valve appears to be intended to plug into the Ag coupler of one of my remotes, and I would still use the lever of the SCV already there - just able to switch the Summit to direct flow to two outputs. Your kit appears to get input from your Power Beyond from an adapter under the seat. So, then do your Summit switches do the flow controlling to your implement's cylinders? How do you get fine control over the flow rate, being that switches are on/off only? Do you need a flow restrictor to control the sudden jerky movements? And where did you source the PB adapter attached under the seat?

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 года назад +1

      To this point, I don't need fine control. I could put a restrictor in the line of the implement if needed, but I have a standard rear remote if I need it. The electric controls can be pushed and released quickly.

Looking to add a flail mower to my equipment but I need to add the rear remotes. I have the T25 with the loader, full cab (cause I live in Maine and it’s cold as hell) and backhoe, do you see any problems installing this kit with the cab. If so do you have any recommendations? Thank you for the videos you put out, nothing I like better than watching a regular guy do what he does.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  Год назад +1

      I don't see any issue that can't be overcome with some ingenuity. The system is fly by wire so you can put the switches anywhere you need. The electric over hydraulic valves will be the most complicated part of the installation.

    So I am wanting to install the 3 or 4 spool version of this on a Branson 3015r that came without rear remotes to run an offset flail but I also want to get the factory backhoe attachment at some point in the future which will need full time flow when in use, how would you set this up to be able to power it? I’m thinking I could tap into the lines before the spools and add a simple detent lever/remote just for the BH, unless there’s a way to modify the switches or a kit that has detent integrated.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  2 года назад

      You would have to run a separate circuit for the backhoe.

    • @trey8543
      @trey8543 2 года назад

      @@TonysTractorAdventure Thanks Could it be done in-line with the summit spools, or would it need it’s own dedicated circuit from the power beyond?I don’t see any reason why the summit kit itself wouldn’t run it other than the fact that it’s all momentary switches…

    Tim I have an RK T25 model tractor. I have the front loader and also the backhoe attachment so I’ve already have rear hydraulic connection points for the backhoe assembly my question is I would like to add a few additional ports I would like to be able to have a hydraulic thumb instead of the manual thumb on the Backhoe I would also like to add an additional port upfront that would allow me to use a grappler. What recommendations would you give. I appreciate your time thank you

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  2 года назад

      Upfront, buy the OEM third function kit assuming it is the same as TYM. I have never had a use for a thumb on a small backhoe. They do not have enough reach to be effective. The backgoes are not commercial and not meant to bounce along with a load. The grapple is the way to go.

    Quick question, I have thought about this as an alternative to going back to the dealer but am unclear about a couple of things. I don’t have power beyond in the rear, I was told to run it from the front loader valve to this kit and then back to the hydraulic block under the floor. Also to run a separate line from the kit to the tank. Another said just run the line to the kit and back to the block, so I’m a little confused and don’t really want to burn my pump up. Any help?
