I am installing this kit on my 4066R cab tractor now. I already have 4th and 5th for my top and tilt. I do have power beyond already. My needs are to run my inverted snowblower for shoot rotation and deflector . Then also the right and left wings on the blower too. Thanks for your efforts to get these parts available and the indepth info you provided. I understand this is an older video, but it still applies the same today.

nice set up. nobody had one when i got my 1025 with backhoe in 2/20 , so i built one. its a 2 spool manual valves on the right. Built all new brackets and ammo box tool box. Put a T on one and ran 2 hoses to the front loader for my homemade grapple. According to my research summit forgot a tank dump line back in . probably will be ok. I re did the power beyond and made a hard attached line on each female quick connect. , one behind the seat and the other down in front of my left foot on the backhoe . it is much easier to hook and unhook than the JD factory configuration because my hands are not as strong as they use to be. Did not keep up with the cost but it probably was more , but it works great and it was a lot of planning and work. Summit and you will have many sales. I bought a 1025 because of your great videos. thanks

This solution does not need a return to tank. Valve supports back pressure. So all is good.

First seen this video six hours after it was release and thought it was funny that the four port is already backordered. Looks like there were a lot of meetings with finance departments this Sunday. My finance department said I should put it on my wish list. Was looking at my tractor a 2019 2025r I have the back hoe so I already have the power beyond. I might have to put the block on the other side because its already a squeeze to get up and sit down at it.
Thank you Tim for this news it is a way cheaper alternative then anything else I've seen.

All of us have a gift of some kind to put a mark in this World. Tim I am blown away by your knowledge of the mechanics of how all this hydraulic system works. I'm watching you demonstrate this and still don't quite understand it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I'm not trying to blow smoke but I've never talked to a Tractor salesman at any dealership that had a fraction of this knowledge. Basically you are showing the depths of what a person can get out of their Tractor. I love it. In time I'm going to set my Tractor up with more features you are demonstrating. Thanks for sharing. Tim; This system looks great. I have a JD 3520 (2006 vintage) cab tractor that uses an electric solenoid diverter or to send the loader hydraulics to the rear. Then you use the loader control to function the two circuits at the back of the tractor. You have to use either the FEL or the rear circuits but they can not be used together. I am constantly flipping the electric switch to go between the functions either front or rear. I do have power beyond on the tractor. This looks like a way to achieve the rear removes and still have the loader at hand. Plus, with a top and tilt cylinders on the rear, the two extra remotes would give me the added hydraulic functions for my implements. This way I don’t sacrifice my top and tilt to get the implements powered. I just need to work up a mounting since I don’t have ROPS. Thanks, Chip

Now I've got a bigger tractor with two rear accessories, and would LOVE to have a few easy to install diverters. Also, our rear accessory ports are detent (vs spring), so we could run a rig like this.

Great video as always Tim! I would be lying if I said your channel and videos did not persuade me in adding a 1025r to my fleet of green! Now with that said, I was a huge fan of your video with the 55 series tractor not too long ago. I have a 1995 John Deere 970 with 500 hours on it and I have in the last month had not one, but two diverted kits installed. One going down the loader and one out the back for a hydraulic top link. I would be absolutely thrilled to be a part of another “old vs. new” comparison on your channel to compare what an old 33hp gear drive tractor can do up against your newer equipment and attachments! Hoping to hear from you soon! Take care!

I already had power beyond for my back hoe. I bought an open center electric over hydraulic valve from Summit, and plumbed and wired it myself. I got inexpensive, waterproof joysticks on Ebay and placed them into a box next to my seat that is accessible from the drivers seat and back hoe seat. It works great. I have a hydraulic swivel blade on the back, and added hydraulics to the thumb on my backhoe. This does everything your setup does, and I did this before your system was available. I put the bulkhead next to the fender on the right side, where the ROPS connects to the tractor. I used Discounthydraulichose for the plumbing. I just can't resist a good mod.

  • @bradmeacham6982
    @bradmeacham6982 3 года назад +1

Saaaaweet! 👍 This is the first electric over hydraulic SCV solution driven from a power beyond circuit I've ever seen. A more typical "multiplier" solution (which Summit also sells) would require an actual rear SCV valve to drive the multiplier block, with each SCV enabled by a switch -you pick which multiplier SCV circuit the factory SCV drives. One thing you didn't mention, but I assume has to be the case, is that when no electric over hydraulic SCVs are being activated, the power beyond circuit is free flowing from its source to return, just as the normal power beyond bypass hose does when the factory power beyond circuit is not connected to a back hoe.

    Tim,
I did the same thing with to get my 3rd function for a grapple except using the single switch. However I bought the summit manual dual valve which lets me switch from loader 3rd function to rear top link. I don’t use both at the same time after removing my backhoe. The beauty it I can use the buttons on the Summit loader handle for grapple or top link.
Simpler for now and I don’t have a lot of attachments and I wanted to keep tilt and curl active.

Summit are great to work with. I needed 2 remotes for my snowblower and the electrical solutions seemed a lot for what I needed. I had one remote. I just needed a simple way to do a second. I spent maybe an hour on the phone with one person and then a couple emails to finalize a design with actual photos. My tractor is from 1968. The only thing I had to create was a bracket to hold the Summit product. Everything else I needed came from Summit in a "kit" set up perfectly for my application. Best of all, I can easily restore the 1968 original setup without any visible evidence. (one of the original holes holding the remote bracket had to be made larger to fit the bolt into the Summit block, but that larger hole is completely covered and does not cause any issues with the OEM bracket.) Best of all, my "solution" was under $300.
While this is a great solution for people who have modern machines, Summit can certainly help create solutions for any need.
Oh, and if you even think you might like a hydraulic top link, GET ONE. That has been a real nice addition when doing work with the land plane and offers a lot more utility to the boom pole. Even a slight change makes a huge difference. I can bet a box blade would respond even better. As for the hydraulic tilt, I can see that being useful, but not nearly as much. My tractor has a nice simple crank to alter the tilt and I don't tend to tilt very often. The only time I did was when I was cutting a new road crown. When buying your top link, pay special attention to the lengths and how much range you get. I went out with a "normal" top link and measured out several different models to see how they would work in real life. I ended up getting one that was a little shorter than most places recommended. Meaning I have more adjustment to make it shorter than longer. Why? Because I don't need much beyond level in the long direction, but making it shorter provides me a lot more lift on my Boom Pole when it is attached. Think about all your uses because $200 for a top link isn't too expensive, but you don't want to have to do it twice.
Tim, looking forward to all the new equipment that you can operate with that setup. I notice some knobs next to each remote. Do they allow you to adjust the flow rate? If so, that is a fantastic feature that you didn't discuss. On my splitter, I can't set a different flow for my snowblower chute rotation and chute angle, so I compromise. The rotation isn't quite as fast as I would like, but it made the chute angle much easier to control Being able to adjust the flow rate on each remote would help to dial in the speed things operate since all you have is on/off on your setup.
Neat Product from a great company.

Summit makes quality products! I have the first solution Tim mentioned. It uses hydraulics from the loader. The nice thing about this solution is it uses the joy stick to operate the two rear remotes. Very easy to toggle from loader to each of the rears. I am really happy with this option. But I do see some additional benefits with this new option. It offers more rear remotes and uses fewer hoses to set it up.

I also have two 2014 1025r one with and one with out power beyond we could put it on both of them. I read a comment about having a standard length wire and then selling an extension. That sounds like a good idea.
    Thanks.

For third function purposes, can you design a trigger addition that could work one of the toggles but be mounted on the loader joy stick? It'd be a nice optional addition and would keep the operator from having to go back and forth.
