Beautiful! I love to have the chain so aggressively sharp she can’t quite make top revs, pro saws like to be worked hard, not sure the chain appreciates the beech, but the wood stove will. Thanks for giving me my 2 stroke fix, whilst I’m relaxing by the pool on my holiday, thinking about my Husky! ( Don’t tell the Wife)
462 bogs under load, fuel-thirsty, and I have trouble keeping the chain tight maybe it's the Australian hardwood. for a 72cc its a couple of pound liter starts up nice, love the carby air filter.

The world is a crazy place. But then again the 2 companies know exactly what their product lines need, they filled their need, and i just bought the 572xp and honest its thw best saw i have ever run. Still trying to figure out why ppl say an 8 pin or 7 pin when the rim itself is stamped 3/8 7t or 3/8 8t which as the manufacturer says 7 tooth or 8 tooth . Sorry rant over
@@mcunard31 yeah I know why it's stated in the video . Just wonder why ppl don't say 7 tooth or 8 tooth instead of pin . The rim has tooth cutouts not pins . It's just a pet peeve of mine I guess
An unfair assesment , Here in Tasmania you would have to sharpen the chain if cutting after that many cuts in hardwood as the wood is so dense. to be fair the chain should of been sharpened as well when the bar was swapped
I,ve used both in Aussie string bark the 572 with xcut chain 462 super chisel after 2hrs cutting went for the 462 not much in it but the lighter weight and better grunt of the stihl when the going got tough made my decision an easy one
So you are using a square chisel chain? In the west we use square chisel full skip cutting Doug Fire/Cedar/Pine what we call softwood...its frozen this time year have used on Oak and Madrone our Hardwoods...like full comp chain in that....be more like your Beechwood....try Oregon or Stihl square chisel chain, I hand file or use my Simington Square Chisel grinder. I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.
Thats Stihl RSC full chisel chain with agressive low rakers, a bit to much for that kind of hard german beech wood. I don't use round chisel. You can sellme one of your chains and i will to a comparison again ;)
