Master Free-Body Diagrams for Physics Problems - [1-5-18]

Learn how to draw a free-body diagram for use in solving physics problems. Every problem in physics begins with drawing a free body diagram because that is how we represent all forces acting on an object. By drawing the forces acting on a body, we can write down newton's second law of motion more efficiently. Newton's 2nd law states that F=ma, where the sum of the forces is on the left side. Writing a diagram of forces on an object helps us write down the sum of all forces acting on a body when using Newton's Laws of Motion.

I always enjoy these practical physics videos. I am in the construction industry and am always dealing with loads on building products like roof trusses. Making a video where you do a typical roof truss would be cool :) I think even the company that builds them uses software and probably doesn't know the physics involved with designing the trusses.
