My RLs are selling in the 15 to 25 bracket which is a good bread n butter...and easier to come by the flesh pony, orange pony then standard black or white...staying L and larger seems to work out better...mixed with autumn comins soon the speed in sales is picking up as are the jean sales.
The most important feature that defines a true rugby shirt is the buttons. They have to be rubber. If a shirt doesn't have rubber buttons, it's not a rugby shirt. I'm not a clothing expert by any means. I'm just so old that I personally lived through the rugby shirt craze in the 80s. I was an active participant. Another great video!
Rick that is a top tier tip! I appreciate when people come in to correct and help out. I know what you mean, the buttons are rubber! Very good, thanks. I like the 80s because that generation bred a toughness in people like my dad that played a big factor in my upbringing.
Any experience with Van Heusen? At any given thrift store in my area, it's at least 20% of the men's section and usually has some big&tall sizes. I'm hesitant to pick any up because there must be a reason there's so much of it.
I did one of these style videos and briefly searches van heusen and I think their vintage stuff had some sales but even in the big and tall I don’t think it had much sales. You can run a search like I did in this video to get an idea. If your a newer sell shoot for a high percentage sell through rate!
As a consumer of Van Heusen tall shirts, if you buy them at thrift stores, make sure they aren't the "no tuck" style. Those are terrible! The sleeves are long, but the body is short. This is the polar opposite of what most tall people look for in a tall shirt. We want a longer body. I never tuck my shirts in any way, but the "no tuck" shirts just look too short.
You mean you cannot see the buyers name? I made an error because eBay picks up up address and location I had a ton of my listings show up. I ran incognito browser and saw half the number of my listings on page one. But their still were a handful on there.
All of your listings in your research video at the bottom showed who was selling them and their feedback. Mine does not show that when i do research do si need to change something in my settings?
@@jareddollen1113 I just checked in my other computer and a different browser and still shows the buyers name and feedback. Only logical explanation is eBay favors me more then others! 😂 But honestly I have clue, I’ll look into it though.
Thanks, I was a bit off about why Emmy listings popped up so close to the top of search but I wonder if that’s what the search looks like in my Town/Texas or the South. I went incognito and still saw a good deal on the first page but not 6 out of 12 😂
I have heard that Ebay shows different search results to people in different regions. Amazon does this because they want the customer to get the product as quick as possible so they show search results to the closest seller. Algorithms are interesting.@@TaylorExchange
A lost leader is a name it could be called but I consider that a break even item. It either had a stain or flaw causing it to be near zero value or the item is to low value to source again.
I’m glad this helps! Another more brute force way is to just manually search every item in the thrift store and over time you’ll get a good idea of what sells. This is just a lot easier and faster.
This explains why he is selling $3-$11 items. He is 100% clueless on how eBay search works. Of course your items show up in bulk when searching. Distance to buyer is huge in best match. Someone on the other side of the country won’t have near the same results. Thank you for making these videos and eBay easier for us by keeping the competition dumb.
Man, you deserve 1 million subs!

Very good assessment Busy Bee!

Quick question- how do you determine which clothes are vintage?
I’m not a pro at vintage but with Ralph Lauren the blue rectangle label with white letters I’ve heard is vintage and I’ve been labeling mine that way.
Thank you!!

$5.40 PLUS best offer? Obviously that will sell fast, but how are you making any profit when you're sourcing at thrift stores?
A lost leader is a name it could be called but I consider that a break even item. It either had a stain or flaw causing it to be near zero value or the item is to low value to source again.
As a new reseller this helps so much. I feel I’m sorta guessing. I look up the brand that’s it. But narrowing it down is a whole different ballgame.

Your probably right, but I do sell a lot to people on the other side of the country.
