I watched 10 others and 2 points made yours best, AI, path tool demo, and Blender to Mesh, whoop. Made it way further this time and can actually continue building on my work in blender now with sufficient usable parts from my 2D work. 🎉🎉🎉 happy new year.
@@nathannankervis I had the same problem. I fixed it by zooming in, and after I thought that I selected all of the vertices, there were still a ton that didn’t select. Make sure every single vertice is selected before you extrude.
from what I heard, he said that blender can't detect ai gradient color, only solid colors can and it's true cause my logo has some gradient and solid color, then when import it to blender, only the solid color works but not the gradient

You must save illustrator file in SVG 1.2. otherwise it will not import as a colour in Blender.
Can you pl. make a video of importing an SVG and animating it in Blender Grease Pencil?
Hello, do I need to ungroup after using pathfinder? Mine was still completely black and some parts came together,
If it's black than your vector is in gradient color. You have to make it solid color. then import in blender.
I follow all your steps correctly but when I extrude my artwork it has many cracks through it. Do you know why this would be? And how to fix this?
show me screenshot.
@@thirdbracket5610 do you have an email or somewhere I can send a screenshot to? I can't upload an image in the comments

There's so many bugs importing SVG files that it's not really worth bothering.
I wonder why when I import the SVG file to the blender, It doesn't keep the original color as you do? :(
