    Guys, If you are missing SVG format from Export as option, go to Photoshop > Preferences > Export > Enable "Use legacy Export As" option > restart Photoshop

      @@TwoTwoFourSix Thank you so much for this - it is weird they got rid of a few of the options for SVG export, but I saw that copy SVG was there and saw your comment and wanted to also reinforce. Another weird and wonderful Adobe quirk.

    There is no export as and then SVG in PS for me. Is this a plugin? I've created those paths.
    EDIT: I've found it - use "legacy export as" settings in the settings menu. After it's activated you will have the svg.

    If you don't have "SVG" as an option on export - on the new version of PS you may have to: Edit, Preferences, Export and tick the box use legacy export.

    Just repeat every step with Ai rather Ps, and it's 100% better coz the Ps pixel base, but what we need is a vector base like Ai=Adobe Illustrator and use trace image in it. I am sure you already know that.
    Hope that helps

      Yeah I did the same. I hate Illustrator, so I did everything in Photoshop for faster workflow, then did a quick image trace in Illustrator afterwards to make it a vector. Image trace is such a useful feature.

  • @marsmotion
    @marsmotion Год назад +3

    add a slight blur and export your image as a 16bit png. try making a modifier displacement from that image from a plane with a lot of subdivides. that gives you real geo. then clip off the base of it and you should have it beveled as well as extracted to geo....that way you wont get dinged as much on all the intricacies your dealing with. svg is nice but yea it req a simpler cleaner starting point. the other way to go is to convert your extruded geo to voxel surface with very high density. i like displace better tho prob more controllable.

    Yeah, I had some issues with this, but I think it's mostly because I don't have the SVG option on my Photoshop, just on my illustrator. So I converted it in illustrator, but the curve it received in blender are all the outline, but they don't have faces. How the system built the file is kinda hard to manipulate for me.
