how does the disconnect on the non hex side happen? Any special tool of technique for removal of the right (tank side) connection ? That most important part doesn't seem to be shown in the video.

Travis Gammage Didn't know it was necessary to show you how to remove the fuel filter bracket comes out after you remove the 2 bolts. It's probably best you pay a certified mechanic to replace your fuel filter.
It was one of the accessory belts. I believe it was my alternator belt that was squealed. I replaced all my accessory belts soon after the fuel filter.
Question, you mentioned the fuel filter should be in the same place as the Montero's made in 2003. is there a need to drop the tank to replace the filter at all? I am confuse, can you answer why should I have to drop the tank. It seems easy in your video. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem , I found out my timing sprocket guide pin sheared of and cause the harmonic balance to get loose , and threw off the belt , Idk if this happen to you guy yet
@@michealvogel723 Had the same problem and used threadlock for the harmonic balancer. Couldn't find that guide pin anywhere. No squeal usually but when it comes back I just tighten bolts around alternator and it goes away immediately. Brand new alternator brand new belts. That squeal comes back on occasion
No. There will be a little bit of fuel that will come out from whatever is in the line and filter when removed. Fuel in the tank will not spill...unless you turn on the truck and the fuel pump will start pumping fuel through the system.

Oxygen sensors require a special socket to remove them and typically if it's the 1st time you replace them, they will be difficult due to them doing though many heat cycles. You may want to Google on tips to replace a oxygen sensor. Typically fuel injectors don't need to be replaced...unless they are showing signs the injector is dead or clogged. You also may want to get a reputable mechanic to see if they need to be replaced...they are a little hard to get to especially the V6 motor in the Montero. Fuel pump will only run if the engine is on.
Wesley Gonzalez Any check engine lights? Could be vacuum issue, tps, MAF sensor, ecu, ignition issue, etc. I recommend to get it look at by someone who can physically diagnose the issue.
My mitsubishi montero sport 98 is running fine but sometime i RUN i stop in the stree and what stared in 10 second is on one more time what the problem helpme

Full size Monteros are different from the Sports. I believe 01-06 full size Monteros (Gen 3) filters were in the tank.

If the filter is badly clogged yes it would. Have you checked if you are getting spark also?

It just doesn't want to turn over I have to step on the gas pedal to pump it so I can get gas but it turns off when I Let Go
