Yes! Keep it coming for these 2.5 . We don't have enough coverage for these rigs. Also when doing fuel filter you can pull 5he fuel pump fuse/relay and start the car and let it die. So you won't have any spillage.
You know what..that's a really good idea. I will have to try that. Thanks for the tip man 🤜🤛. Thanks for the appreciation on the video... hopefully this helps some people. I think changing the fuel filter is an afterthought for most, but it's a necessary maintenance job. I did notice after changing the filter my Montero idles a lot better. Didn't really notice the difference, but I do now..and runs a bit better.
Thank you for posting this video, I was looking through the FSM and didn't see the location of the fuel filter clearly. Your rig looks awesome BTW, love the spoiler and wheels.
Happy to know this video helped you out. Thank you for commenting.👍 I am planning on doing an updated walkthrough video of the Montero as I am getting a lot of questions on parts on it. Stay tuned😎
Good video, thanks for posting. I just finished my fuel filter replacement today on the '98 Montero Sport that I bought in April. It still had the original fuel filter on it. Interesting that your filter is different than on my Montero Sport by the fittings. Instead of a banjo fitting which uses the crush washers, my filter uses a push-on barbed connector. Other than that difference, everything else was the same.
Nice man...replacing your fuel filter is a cheap easy job and does wonders with performance and its a preventative maintenance job. I actually did a video years ago replacing the fuel filter on my old Montero Sport on my original YT channel. I went ahead and added a card towards the beginning of this video to a link on my other channel. Thanks for the reminder.
Thanks homie! Definitely a cheap easy maintenance job. I did notice after changing the filter that my Montero idles better. It wasn't bad previously but its definitely smoother.
Maybe you did this beforehand, but you can save gas by first unplugging the fuel pump connection so that the pump has no power, then running the engine until it dies. Unscrew your gas cap also. Then you can remove the filter with no fuel pressure in the lines.
It was suggested to me afterwards and it's a good tip. Thank you for suggesting it though and hopefully others will see your comment and benefit from it.
Just watched before doing my Pajero, mines only has one banjo and a rubber ring with a smaller hole. So we will see once the ground dries a little for me lying down
Is your Pajero Diesel? If so..there is most likely a difference in the fuel filter. Mine is a gasoline version from the U.S....so not sure if it's similar from other markets.
@@itsaboutfam no mate it’s a petrol aswell, I’ve got a 1997 3.5 v6. Actually had difficulty with the 19ml bolt to the point the old filter was denting at the top so had to take it to the garage. Luckily the guys seem to it straight away

You were supposed to get the gas pressure out 😮
