    Thanks for the awesome video mate. I did come across one problem though, I could not get the bottom bolt off without A LOT of hard work.
    Some tips who are experiencing the same problem.
    BEFORE REMOVING BOTTOM BOLT
    -Lubricate the bolt with some break fluid
    -loosen the 12mm bolts on the housing bracket (done at 7:35) in this video
    -Use two wrenches in the "V-formation" to crack the bolt.
    -Dont get too carried away. Fuel lines will break. So care!

      My wife got a 2004 lancer es i just put a new fuel pump and filter it's under the back seat and it was easy, fuse 15a last from front and disconnect the battery.

    Very similar to my '94 Toyota Corolla..identical fuel filter. I found the bottom inlet line was much easier to line the threads up before the jacket housing was attached to the vehicle. The inlet line is made of metal and can crimp easily..much easier to move the filter so that it lines up to the position of bottom housing nut then fix the assembly to vehicle body. I would recommend the way you did it from beneath as less chance of damaging the line.

    Before you even start I would highly recommend that you spray both of the bolts down with PB Blaster, liquid wrench, or something like that and let it set for a day or so. That should make the whole thing a little bit easier

    what difference did you feel after changing fuel filter like fuel efficiency or power?

    • @ScottyHugefellow
      @ScottyHugefellow 3 года назад

      Depends if there is rust or gooey shit in the system, you'll feel a difference from cleaning injectors

    • @ryanwalter757
      @ryanwalter757 3 года назад

      If you've got a dirty fuel filter you would definitely notice a big difference the power will come come on a lot stronger and you won't be lagging up steep hills

    Tried my lancer CE GLI coupe. New one was Silverline ff51SL from Repco. Leaked from the bottom again and again. There were 3 washers 3 rd one was smaller. But all were very flimsy. Any way because of the leaking hastily put the old one again without the housing. Going for the garage tomorrow. Why leaking from the bottom. I fastened the bottom nut as much as it put a mark on the new fuel filter bottom.

      Hi, Exact same thing happened to me... Used Silverline fuel filter and it is leaking. One mechanic suggested to use Ryco filter and try again...

    Hey man on the charcoal filter. That last air line is not meant to have a hose yeah? I just done some work on mine and figured I had a hose missing?

    Is it a flare nut by any chance? (2000 mirage) that bolt was way too Hard to get off

    Logo quando você tirou o aperto do primeiro parafuso que puxou a mangueira, caiu o anel de vedação. Esses aneis de cobre perde facil e o posicionamento desse filtro não ajuda muito.

    Hi,
    Was there something wrong with the car, and if there was, what was the problem.
    Or was this just a routine service procedure?

      Probably poor acceleration, fuel filters generally last quite a while

    • @cheetahgaming3642
      @cheetahgaming3642 5 лет назад

      under the backseat... theres a small cover that pops off under there and your fuel pump assembely is in there... or you can just drop the tank

    • @franketas
      @franketas 5 лет назад

      CheetahSpeed That cover is for fuel assembly only you need to drop the gas tank to see another cover by side and there the gas pump.

    • @stringz6554
      @stringz6554 3 года назад

      @@TEKOSTUFF had to flare the ends and used heavy duty rubber hosing to connect with 2 clamps on each end. A little dodgy, but it worked.
