I think Mark Slaughter is absolutely gorgeous! All that long, think dark hair, and his dark eyes!!OMG!!! Saying he's HOT doesn't even begin to cover it!!! And this song is one of my faves! Thanks for posting!!
Discovered this song at a later time, but grew up listening to this awesome band along with Ratt, Whitesnake, Cinderella, Scorpions, Firehouse. Awesome hard rock with beats that'll encourage air drumming and lip singing as you don't want to ruin the perfect vocals from these bands! Found out they are still on tour and plan to take a special trip to TX to see them live for '2023 - can't wait!
Mark Slaughter was just as good live as on record in the 90's. I saw him in 1993! Great show! Best live vocalist I have ever seen. I have been to 60+ shows with multiple bands at each and he killed them all!
Wow! They even had effects on the drum parts going that is normally on the album but bands don’t ever use for live concerts ! As a drummer that was real treat hearing those drum effects.
i seen these guy 6 times including 2 times while helping run the light show for them at the pig pen in clinton iowa before it closed what a shame these were some great guys and one hell of a talented band RIP Tim I will never forget the pinball game we played together
104 - so right that you are. It was important during thie era of metal to have presence. This guy certainly did. ROCKSTAR, is a cool movie. I am proud to still have all my 80's-90's Hairmetal cd's A-Z.
Meet him at dinner last night here in Nashville. Nice Feller and Nice family. Cool end to a great night with my family. Great 80's memories. Thanks for being cool Mark. Right on!!!
If there was a soundtrack of my life, this song has to be included. Many happy memories. Carnivals, crusing, hanging out with my best friends. AWESOME SHIT
Dana Strum the John entwistle of rock base guitar and Slaughter along with Great White will be performing a the Dodge county Fair tomorrow Saturday in Beaver Dam..Hell yeah!!!
just saw these guys live on friday, amazing show my favorate band and i was front row, had a blast...and if i remember correctly this was their first song
Brings back great memories. Walked into my local Radio Shack today for some earbuds and this song came on in the store. Wasn't the radio so I'm guessing the sales associate brought in his personal CD mix. I remember the song before this was The Zoo by the Scorps. It's great to hear this shit in 2007.
I miss these days. Thank god I can relive my memories through RUclips and my Ipod. Too bad Tim Kelly is no longer with us. Mark Slaughter has a set of lungs on him that just don't quit.
@djacksonc HEY, you never lost this music!!! WE have never lost this music. Bring this music back? It's already been done, we're listening right now to it.
Hell yeah!!...that period gave us, Wildside, Slaughter, Lillian Axe, Skid Row, BulletBoys, Tora Tora, Kix, White Lion, Tangier, Badlands, Saigon Kick, GnR, Every Mothers Nighmare, L.A. Guns, Brinty Fox, etc. Don't get rid of those cds.....they are hair metal gems.
my friend & I were at the taping of this video @ The Mayan Theater...we HAD to be down by the band and I was lucky enough to have some blue paper and red lipstick to create the "tickets" needed to get us down there!!!
I got this album on cd.I think it was the first cd I ever bought. I don't think they were still making albums on vinyl in 1990.If they were,I don't remember seeing them in the stores.
This was when Hair Metal was just about parting, girls girls girls, plenty of BEER, good times with buddies, and some wicked hair metal music. The music I hear today is pissed at the world and whinning, and don't even why the fuck they are!! Give me this music any day and I will crank it up LOUD AND PROUD!!
Jesus those high notes in the beginning are insane. Fucking insane. This man has an insane vocal range!!! Just heard of this band yesterday and Mark Slaughter is already entered my top ten vocalists. And I am a vocalist so I know what to look for in vocals, to assess technicallity and this man is a fucking beast. By the way Dan McCafferty of Nazareth is my favorite vocalist and I have a hunch that he influenced Mark Slaughter, as he influenced both Axl Rose and Tom Kiefer as well as many others.
Most people have no idea how plugged into the business Dana Strum is. Since he was a teenager. He got Randy Rhoads for Ozzy. Then Jake E Lee. And so much more. He’s a good player and a great talent scout/businessman. Also, Ozzy pissed in his car.
Mark and Blas.....every girls fantasy back in the day, hell, even now they look good....we used to dream of being hair whipped by them..lol....love them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hairmetalmusic Rose Kix will always be first on my list because they're from my state and had done some killer shows in Baltimore that city by the dirty water LOL. I still have their first three LPs
you ever listen to rob rock? Check out the band M.A.R.S. songs like Fantasy and I can see it in your eyes. Mars was a super group of Tony Macalpine, Tommy Aldridge, Rob Rock, and Rudy Sarzo. They did one album in 1986 and its killer!
@djacksonc Out of pure, and real curiosity, how did you get into Slaughter and music like this. You parents? RUclips searches? I'm a Music Business major and I'm very interested in how younger generations discover good older music.
Hey hermygagala, check out steelheart live in japan in 1991 I'll Never Let you Go. That dude fucking ROCKS. Mad vocal skills. I love mark slaughter too. One of my faves.
@balerinauzicka Only if you don't understand the lyrics and/or you do not have the right equipment to listen to them. It's like saying all classical music is the same.
I want my MTV HEAD BANGERS BALL BACK NOW.
I think Mark Slaughter is absolutely gorgeous! All that long, think dark hair, and his dark eyes!!OMG!!! Saying he's HOT doesn't even begin to cover it!!! And this song is one of my faves! Thanks for posting!!
My FAV Slaughter song of them all... One of the best 80's/90's bands out there, "LONG LIVE ROCK n' ROLL"! Blas, yum!
Discovered this song at a later time, but grew up listening to this awesome band along with Ratt, Whitesnake, Cinderella, Scorpions, Firehouse. Brings back great memories. Walked into my local Radio Shack today for some earbuds and this song came on in the store. @djacksonc It's good to see the younger generation rocken out to the 80's!!!!!
Man brings back memories, or pieces of what I can reconstruct. Good times!!!!!
I totally agree with filipini2000. Slaughter is a great band and I too hope for more bands of "the day" to get back together.
I will miss these times forever.
These guys are awesome! Love Mark's voice on this one!
For me these three bands and Ratt are the 3 best hairbands of all time.
This was when Hair Metal was just about parting, girls girls girls, plenty of BEER, good times with buddies, and some wicked hair metal music.
