    This video/song/movie remains an integral part of my childhood. People measure things by the decade, but this aspect of 1980s culture went on for a little longer. Yet strangely, it all subsided when I moved to a new town. When I finally looked out on the world again, Grunge had replaced Glam, Power Rangers had replaced Ninja Turtles, and pretensious smut like Titanic replaced good fun films like this. I wonder if seeing my old town would cheer me up, but I doubt it.

  • @ant10279
    @ant10279 14 лет назад

    You know what I just thought of, and this is out of the blue... Bill & Ted's sons could be the next film's villians! What if their kids didn't want to follow in their father's footsteps? They go back in time when B&T meet Rufus for the first time at the Circle K, but B&T, with the good robot versions, go back before the timeline is altered, and they stop their kids from changing history. There's a battle and the robots hold them and B&T tell their kids that the future depends on their music.

    I loved the 90’s, I didn’t realize it at the time, how awesome it was. Bill and ted, ninja turtles, saved by the bell, even wrestling was on top of its game, and a lot of cool bands (despite some of the less enjoyable hair bands). In retrospect a lot of it seems kinda cheesy and stupid now, but at the time it was boss! I love how rock/metal/rockers was in style and was popular, not wanna be gangster shit.

  • @ant10279
    @ant10279 14 лет назад

    You're thinking... that is good......... Anyway, I was also thinking, the first film was about keeping Bill & Ted together. The second film was about them needing to become the worlds greatest band. Now, here's the kicker... The future happens the way Rufus describes it in the first movie. So have the threat, like in BJ, take place in the future AND in the present. Bill & Ted go to the future and fight the bad guy, while their (20+yr) children fight the threat that came back in time.

  • @ant10279
    @ant10279 14 лет назад

    I agree with you TheSlashboy. Both are good movies, but BJ was in my opinion, a better movie. It had great editing. I hope that they make a 3rd B&T film. They both have a great soundtrack too. I own both movies on DVD w/ both soundtracks.

    Once again here is another great song that Slaughter did for Bill and Ted Bogus Journey right. The thing is the song should have been on Slaughter's greatest hits or the best of CD and it wasn't. Just wondering what's up with that & why does the Music Company only put songs on The Greatest Hits our best of CD that they want and not what the fans love to hear on the greatest hits CD as well. I've been curious about that for a while now.

  • @ant10279
    @ant10279 14 лет назад

    I think a sequel would be a great idea, just imagine, a "Bill & Ted" movie where Bill and Ted are in their 40's - 50's years of age. They made it as the greatest band of all time. They both now have families. The film can focus on their kids. (RIGHT THERE IS HOLLYWOODS FUCKING REBOOT IDEA, AND... IT'S A SEQUEL!!!) Last I read, Keanu was really pumped for a 3rd movie. All the writers need to do is use their brains. Hollywood needs to grow some balls and take risks, even if the 3rd film bombed.

  • @ant10279
    @ant10279 14 лет назад

    You know what else would be a great idea? Make the threat of the film an alien, or a group of aliens.
    I somewhat quote Death from BJ, "You mean, you assumed that the greatest threat in the entire galaxy, would be from Earth?"

    Makes sense don't you think? Rufus did say that their music helped aline... however you spell it, the planets in the galaxy together in peace. Well, that's a lot of planets; A lot of species that wouldn't want peace, or like De Nomolos, would get annoyed by Bill & Ted. SEE NOT HARD TO COME UP WITH IDEAS, HOLLYWOOD!!!

    Also, I don't think you're exactly right in assuming artists are FORCED into performing specific music, but ghostwriting is certainly common and certainly a problem. There is this horrendous producer called Bangladesh who does a lot of it; you have probably heard "A Milli" by Lil Wayne, but also look up "Break Up" by Mario, "Diva," by Beyonce, and "Sleazy" by Ke$ha; they're all by him and all barely music. Today, when an artist has a big name, they can perform almost any shit.

    Lil Wayne at least has more talent than Soulja Boy and his bunch of "How to do a Dance" cult. What he DOESN'T have, though, are standards or shame. That also applies to the Black Eyed Peas. Again, Big Names seem like they're all that matters today, and people listen to them no matter what.

    Rebooting Bill and Ted would not only be offensive, but anachronistic. This kind of music, such a big theme in the first two films, does not exist anymore, nor does the sort of personality Bill and Ted had--well, the stoners do, but today they have different connotations. As to a sequel, I'd love it, but it's still impractical. Carlin is dead, and Keanu Reeves seems way too bored and fuddy-duddy to do this sort of thing now. What the plot would even be is also problematic.

  • @TallonIV776V
    @TallonIV776V 15 лет назад

    Get your facts straight. Mark Slaughter was in Vinnie Vincent Invasion and they left the band because their label went bankrupt and because Mark wanted to be the main focus of the music, even though the real reason why we listened to them was to hear Vinnie play. The drummer from VVI, Bobby Rock, didn't play in Slaughter. VVI is better than Slaughter.
