Great idea but my personal choice for frame are well established geberit or grohe. No connection to maintain externally and all maintenance trough the big flush button plate. In long term that concealed cistern is asking for trouble.

Great video, about to start an renovate our WC and put a concealed toilet in there so I found this invaluable mate. Also people that complain about reasonable quotes are getting more and more cheeky because they think they can fit a kitchen or bathroom after watching RUclips, until they actually try and fit one and come up against things like the bits you covered in this video. Amount of jobs (property maintenance) I’ve taken on in the past where folks have given up half way through doing there own bathroom or kitchen because ‘nothing fits’ or ‘supplies aren’t right’ and ‘fittings are wrong’ etc etc moral is, sometimes it’s best to leave certain jobs to the guys who do these jobs day in, day out that can get the perfect finish you’re looking for, that’s what you pay for.

You mentioned about removing the hardie backer from the drill bit. Not sure if it will help you. But if you use m14 tile core drill bits and attach them on the angle grinder, it drills the tile faster and better than a drill plus you can remove the core drill from the grinder and use a screwdriver to poke the debris out.

make a hole in your coring bit, on the side or the back, so you can poke a screwdriver through to tap the center bit out. Or buy a brand that sells them with the hole on there already.

How about a sliver of aluminium/silver tape run on the inside of the access panel where you have run the edging.
I'm thinking if you trim it right, it will "fall" into the gap between the top and bottom part, and might visually distract more from the gap, so its alittle less obvious?

The lid could have a length of 25mm square wood attached vertically to the underside that engages into a wooden restraining loop (socket) on the back of the haribacker so that the board couldn't fall forward without the lid being lifted first. Hope that makes sense....like a peg in a hole sort of thing.

Must remember to subscribe to channels i like :-) Can i just ask, even though this clip is from January, the tile edging you used and cut into three pieces, would a magnetic strip work instead? I prefer the idea of having a tile edging with no cuts in it, yes i know that's a bit anal of me.
