Same problem with a client's A1278 - same resistance @ ~540kohms. Will bypass the tip detection while waiting for a proper replacement connector from overseas. Brilliant video - many thanks for posting it !!
@@Repair2Renew thanks for answer I solve it installing voodooh and my headphone jack is working back too. Is a board problem, on windows my headphone jack is not working and always has a red light

Normally it would be a PCH problem on the logicboard. Double check your "sound" setting under "System Preferences"
