Great work -- and a really good argument for why it's sometimes best to pay the pros what you're worth, rather than trying logic board surgery like this with home tools and amateur skills! I'm looking at the same problem with a broken headphone jack on my 2012 unibody MBP with i7 cpu, a machine that's otherwise too good to give up.
I've heard and read from tech experts that audio can be redirected to the MBP's internal speakers, by somehow taking the broken headphone jack off the logic board altogether, and soldering across the connection on the board where it's been removed. This would eliminate the need to find a working headphone jack from a junked logic board of the same variety, detach it from there by desoldering, and install it onto your otherwise good board -- the approach you take here. Of course, you'd remain without the ability to connect 3.5mm headphones or external speakers directly, but you could continue to work around that by using a simple USB-to-3.5mm external sound card, or the computer's onboard bluetooth or HDMI. And your computer speakers would again be good for something besides a startup chime.
Is this an approach you might be aware of, and would you recommend it? If so, would you know any details as to which points on the logic board might need to be bridged across, to restore speaker sound? Thanks!

why repair when it ain't broken, it was only stuck once and returned to normal after one replugging.
was there a test, that digital out is working after this resoldering?

have a macbook air a2179 which was water damaged on the audio board area. I replaced the audio board, but the speakers does not work however it works fine with a headphone. In the system settings, It seems that the system does recognize the macbook internal speakers and when I increase or decrease the volume everything seems normal but no sound from the speakers. I updated the system, I tried doing PRAM but I was not successful (Although I am not sure if I did it correctly or not). I am not sure if this is related to or not, but there is a tiny led on the logic board beside the button for discharging current which is always on. Another point is that if we suppose that the right speaker which is connected to the audio board is water damaged, then why should not the right speaker work?! I am not sure what is happening but I think something is avoiding the speakers to work.

Thanks for your video. I have similar issue with my early 2015 macbook pro that suddenly lost the sound. Like the driver has gone, so I've reinstalled OSX and the problem is still there. Before it breaks, I saw the red light in the connector, so I think it's the same issue. Any suggestion? Thank you

Congrat's for the job! Can I do the same process on iMac 21.5 late 2013? My audio jack is broken after plug / unplug. Do you have any video about this? Thanks!

Thanks! No, the process is different for your machine, the headphone jack is a separate part from the logic board. We do not have a video for that exact model but this one is very similar. ruclips.net/video/5jyMvGZDGdE/видео.html

Would a dodgy socket cause audio through only the right chsnnel? (same through onboard speakers or when headphones are plugged in) or is that an audio chipset issue does anyone think? And yes the audio settings are set in the middle and not over to one side. It's on a 2009 15" Macbook Pro A1276

I curently use my mac for dj purposes .i plugged in a 1/8 to xlr cable into a mixer board inputs and didnt realize the 48v phantom power was on at the time, afterwards i stopped hearing audio,

MySoundboy It is probably a component that has blown on the board and will need to be replaced. I would have to diagnosis it to figure out which one it is.
