as much as i understand the opinion, and agree to some degree. i still think there are great songs off of every metallica album, at least one song from each album.
Imagine how hard Metallica goes that even their ballads are bangers. This song hits hard when you fall into a deep, seemingly never ending, despair. I never thought I'd cry to a Metallica song, but at one point I did and that's why this is one of my favorites. My favorite Metallica song: One.
I still get goosebumps every time I hear the end of this song with the harmonies and the solo over them. Check out a song called Spit Out The Bone. Its the best thing they have done that is new.
My favorite Metallica song ever. And I loved learning it on guitar. The intro solo into the majestical acoustic verse then that bridge into the outro solo. Masterpiece
It’s also my favorite Metallica song. The best way to listen to it is in a car or a small place with the windows closed, lights off, blasting sound, smoking a cigarette with no interruptions Your reaction 😊 was excellent I’ve seen them in concert 3 times and they’re amazing
I feel the way listening to Fade To Black now as I did as a teenager in the 80s. This is my favorite song forever. Having had long bouts of depression for decades now I can still feel this song. Every lyric. Down to every single note. This song is like an old friend of mine
Motley Crue is Moscow blows away Muh-FAG-U-LAH!!! Lars makes fun of MC for dressing like girls. Yet he had to go to San Francisco aka Super FAGLand to get a record deal. From Elecktra Records. Who MC dug out of Red Ink. Then, Lars makes fun of their 1989 album Dr. Feelgood. BUUUUT he noticed they used Bob "Cock" Rock as their producer. And then Lars hired Mr. Cock Rock to produce his Black album. Lars, then went after Napster. Yeah, go Search that. But please stop using Google!
I was in the Marines from 1989-1994. I got deployed to Somalia in 1992-1993. We would jump into a CH 46 and the Crew Chief would play Seek and Destroy by Metallica. That’s forever burned into my brain !!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
"Orion"- Cliff Burton's compositional expertise on full display with the raw talent of eveyone, just be sure to look up which solos are guitar and which ones are bass, you probably not believe your ears
My wife is a huge Metallica fan. I was always at the same shows as her. Being a drummer my whole life. We met and have been married for 25 years. My 2 kids are so into rock. They are such awesome kids. Such a big part of my life…
Metallica - To Live Is To Die studio version.. You wanna feel all the feels, check it out.. Can actually hear a persons whole journey of life in the instrumental R.I.P. Cliff
It's the greatest eulogy a man can receive. It covers all of the emotions. The highs, the lows. The rage of losing a brother. It's absolute perfection.
Yep I agree with mía, I don't know what it is but this guitar solo is just incredible is like a rollercoaster of energy and this song is why I became a guitarist in the first place ❤
Houston is a single date (other cities in the tour are two nights, no repeat weekend)…their single night performances in cities in 2025 will be the same type of setlist as a festival - They will play the classics that everyone loves and 2-3 new songs from “72 seasons.” No matter what, you will hear the ones you want…the “greatest hits,” as they do them at every show. I would suggest go to their Houston date and see them in their actual stadium setup (it is INCREDIBLE), not adapted to a festival stage. My opinion, but I’ve been going to their shows since 1992…saw 4 shows of the M72 tour so far and will be seeing at least 3 more this coming year. WORTH IT.
Love all your Metallica reactions so far. Please keep them coming. Best way to turbo boost your channel. Subscribed. Btw, saw them live in 1989 at their peak. To see an entire stadium of 30,000+ people head banging in unison was truly life changing.
I follow you tiktoks and love the metal reaction videos. These are my bands growing up. I can turn you on to so many bands and songs that you will love. I'm tlover on tiktoks, I drop in your lives now and then. Anyway nice job on the reactions. yes is absolutely recognizable from their unique guitar sound. Black Sabbath, Dio, and Queensryche and Rush are all bands you would definitely like.
Just discovered your channel. Glad you're enjoying one of my favorite bands. One of my fav songs too. Definitely see them live if you get a chance before they hang it up. They are in their 60s now but still rock a 2+ hr set. And James Hetfield, the singer, still sounds great 🤟
I saw Metallica back in West Germany back in the early 80's. I took my 15 year old to a Metallica concert during last summer in Seattle at Quest Field. We had a great time.
1984. I was 19 when this song came out and I was completely alone in a really sh*tty world. This song became my voice and everything I had to say at that time.
I just went to see them (twice) on Labor Day weekend in Seattle. They played a LOT of old stuff both nights. You have to remember that they have a 40 year catalog. icing on the cake, it was a different setlist each night. Do yourself a favor and go any time you get a chance. They're in their 60s now, you never know. It might be the last time you get to see them. Just go. Forget about waiting for this festival or that one. I can't believe people are telling you that.
Lots of fun watching to your reactions! Keep it up! Hands down, best band ever! They do play their old hits, live in concert so don’t miss the Houston Show in 2025!
I've watched quite a few of your reactions (great job, btw), and it's clear how much you love this band. It's very cool, seeing the contrast between someone as reserved and demure as yourself loving a metal band. Just goes to show music can be magical, moving and inspirational to so many. Had the good fortune of seeing Metallica 4 times in total and they're one of the best metal bands ever.
Greatest Metal Band of all time ⏲ Every single song is pure 🔥 Nothing else matters and Wherever I roam and One are my personal favs can't go wrong with anything from them.
The crazy live performance you were talking about is their performance of "Enter Sandman" in Moscow in the early 90's. Over 1 MILLION (not a typo) in attendance. Definitely check it out. Incredible.
It's still very much worth going to a Metalica tour. I went in 2009 and they still played a lot from the late 80's and 90's era Metalica music. And I love the guitar riffs in Fade to Black.
Metallica is definitely my favorite band of all time. As a little kid I would sit in the car with my Dad with the radio blaring. My Dad enjoys music of a wide variety, but often times we would listen to one of the local rock stations that fancied itself the home of Metallica. I have so many fond memories of air guitar solos and air drums while singing along full tilt to Metallica. Heck first time I ever bought music was to get Metallica. Have always and will always love love love Metallica.
My favourite metallica song. The feeling you experienced at the ending guitar solo, I still experience after hearing this song over 100 times in my life probably.
Metallica is and will always be my favorite band. Really glad that you loved my favorite song of theirs as much as I do. Fade to Black really is a beautiful song about a not so beautiful subject. Their first five albums are perfection. Listen to all of them and you won't be disappointed. Great reaction. Honest and raw.
Yes! Definitely my favorite Metallica song! It's the one that made me get serious about learning to play the guitar. That was 20 plus years ago and I've played in many rock/metal bands since then. METALLICA FOREVER! 🤘
Robert Trujillo's been Metallica's bassist 2 decades+ = longer than others combined, after his decade+ w: Su*c*dal Tendencies & Infectious Groove$, Mia, & so newer live videos of Metallica's songs'll def' help you enjoy his LA's🤘Hispanic styles w: 3 OG's!

I think if you want to see them, go see them in whatever context you can. Festival or not, see them while they are still playing. These guys are in their 60s now, so there is no knowing how much longer they can keep going. Their new stuff is good, don't get wrapped up in the old stuff being their only good music because it isn't true. They are still releasing really fun, fast, aggressive, well written music.
This song has helped countless people over the last 40 years. Myself included. I've seen the band, many, many time; and it's a song I want them to play every single time. The melodic intro on that acoustic guitar. Kirk's absolute ripping solo. It's just fucking perfect. It really is. It's one of the reasons this is still my favorite album. You most definitely need to see Metallica Live!! I have seen them twice and once was in 1992 and 2020 and they were so Amazing!! And the loudest concerts I have ever been too!!
For 43 years these guys have dominated the world of music; in the beginning they became the undisputed Kings of underground music…and years later the became the greatest band and undisputed Kings of ALL music 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘….go see these LEGENDS and TITANS everytime you have the opportunity….your life will never be the same again…take it from one having seen them 20 times….sincere compliments from Copenhagen 🇩🇰🇩🇰….do the live version from Nimes in France 2009 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
I’ve been waiting for this. This song is one of my favorites by Metallica and one of my faves to play on guitar. The melodic nature of this piece of absolutely gorgeous. The lyrics are incredibly dark, dealing with suicidal ideation. James Hetfield had a really rough childhood which he’s always been open about. I believe this was written shortly after someone stole a bunch of their gear, including an amp his deceased mother bought him.
I love that you love Metallica! It was first favorite that I bought the most CDs of any band. We must share similar interests and I'm happy we have the same taste in music 😊❤
When I was 12 years old in 2001 for I bought my first two albums, which were the album this is from (Ride the Lightning) and And Justice For All. I'd been downloading metallica songs which at the time took roughly an hour per song to download. I remember listening to this song and instantly falling in love with it. I like how you said musicgasm, cause (excuse my language) but I felt this song fuck my ear holes in the best way and I would say it gave me an eargasm. To this day, I still consider it to be one of the best guitar solo's, not just from Metallica but any band, period.
Great song, ONE OF MY TOP 5 FAVORITE SONGS, After DESERT STORM, I came home my Fiancé had left me, I wrote these lyrics down, sent them to all my friends and tried to hurt myself, ENDED UP in PORTSMOUTH NAVAL PSYCH WARD for 72 hour Psych Eval 💔 😢
The magic of Metallica giving musicgasms at will 😉🤘 they have some awesome live versions of Fade to Black definitely one of my favourite songs of all time from such a brilliant album ❤🤘👍
When watching their live stuff you have to watch it twice. Once in their prime when they were young and once in modern times when they’ve still got it and have added to the songs. With that said if you want another banger like fade to black, they created another song in the style of it on their next album called Welcome home sanatarium. It’s another masterpiece if you’re interested.
First song i learned on guitar :) This song saved lives. Seen them in Vancouver and they played 2.5 hours long. i was baaaaagged by the end. dont know how those guys do it at 60 years old. There is so many more bangers you havent heard. They only really have 5 songs that arent great.

On behalf of metal heads everywhere, Thank You for not pausing in the middle of Kirk's incredible solo!!! LOL
This is one of the songs that saved me. Thanks so much for your genuine reaction to it, love the content.
I hope you're still doing alright.
@@HvyMetal4Ever Thanks for the concern. Have to take it one day at a time.
I don't always listen to Metallica, but when I do, so do my neighbors.

Metallica Brasil
You can't go wrong with any song off their first 4 albums, all FIRE!!!
5 albums..
@@wichitadisciple9874 I'll stick with 4. They had some good songs here and there after that, but nothing like the first 4.

First song i learned on guitar :) This song saved lives. Seen them in Vancouver and they played 2.5 hours long. i was baaaaagged by the end. dont know how those guys do it at 60 years old.
There is so many more bangers you havent heard. They only really have 5 songs that arent great.
I always lose count, but I can play around 106 Metallica songs on guitar (including this one). Played for 27 years. Great song.
