I had been meaning to get this video up before the weekend so I apologize in the delay of uploads, folks. This footage was from one of my streams last week so please ignore the Goblin Weather Machine thing in the upper right corner. ^^; Anyways, I hope this trick helps you folks get more alts done faster and maybe get lucky enough to loot the Alchemical Flavor Pocket from your weekly soup reward. I've gotten one so far, but hopefully you all have better luck than I do! They also are pushing a hotfix to make the soup event occur ever 1 1/2 hours, so that's nice as well.
A little bonus tip for the lazy (like me): You can pick up the quest and just AFK for 15 minutes if you don't care about rep gains or soup quality. You'll get no rep for the pickup/fishing quests (duh) but you get credit for the stomp, tenderize, throw, spin, kill, etc tasks even if you don't do anything lol I was alt-tabbed at the feast when I clicked on your video, I just looked over and I'm done with the quest!
Yup, also true! I mainly just kinda speed-rush through all my alts so I don't miss/forget to do any of them. ^^ It also depends on lucky/unlucky you are with your soup phase, if you have a lot of people then you get them less often or some times it seems to just be bad luck that I get the time-consuming ones. The fish heads/fish can be done no matter what.
it's funny. These fish are really easy to ignore since they don't glow. People just walk by them! I flew around picking them up and was done in like 2 minutes :D
Yup, it's pretty wild how fast you can complete the soup with all those spawns and most people don't even see them, it seems. Legit 1:40 on my mage and that wasn't even the fastest I've done yet, 5 or 6 alts in one soup is definitely feasible, maybe 7 with some fast alt-f4's and junk.
This trick saved my life! Also just asking to participate in the event with my alts do i need any other requirement than being over 60? I've already completed DF Campaign with my main and im also lvl 20 reknown with iskaara with my main
You're totally welcome, Martin, I figured it'd be a nice thing to show/share with everyone since it makes farming the soup way faster. I have gotten to the point where I can manage to get 7 or 8 characters done in a single soup if I get lucky with a slow shard or just have good timing on the fish head spawns. As far as I've seen that should be everything for requirements as well, as I imagine you've already reached level 70 on your main if you've gotten that much renown and already finished the main campaign. 8 or 9 of the characters I farm soup on are exactly level 60 and have gotten multiple flavor packets on them over the past month ish.
One thing your video is missing (IMO) and would be beneficial, is what and where to find the NPCs and places to pick up items needed to complete the chef's orders. I've wasted so much time trying to locate where those items are. Just when I think my map is going to show them on the mini map, I get an order I've not seen before and then can't find the dam NPC. If you don't complete the task (like, get milk) that order stays cued until you complete it so you could miss out on bunches of Tuskarr rep (if that's a object of your doing the soup event beyond the weekly). Thanks for the big fish head pickup - who knew?
Definitely fair, Bert. Admittedly I wanted this to be a more short, quick tip sort of video for finishing the soup without having to worry about finding all the ancillary NPCs. There are still some that take me a bit to find even doing it hundreds of times, at this point, and it might be something people have made a weakaura or Tomtom plugin to make it easier, but I haven't done much research into that yet since I'm really just in the soups for chances at easy gold with the Flavor Packets.
@@ZeraTheRedRogue Never gotten the Flavor Packet (I don't think at any rate - I should go back and check my 7 toons inventories.) It's such an easy way to get exp with the Tuskarr - In fact today I got my entire week's rep 3000 rep just doing the Feast. But one thing I think I noticed. Picking up those fish heads don't give you rep. I've got another toon to run through this week, and I'll check again.. lol there is so much going on with this feast it's hard to keep up.
yo dog my strats!! Forrela tho this one is dope. if luck is on your side... 1 week i got 4 but last week i got none, about 13 characters or so i did it on.
Yeah, I've been farming these on 11 characters for the past 4 or maybe 5 weeks- I've only gotten one, but I wanted it for my own crafted ring so now the rest of them will go towards funding my professions/consumables for keys and stuff. ^^ I heard they didn't count but I didn't think it was that big of a deal until I realized I couldn't refresh my food buff in dungeons because you can't eat a fated fortune cookie if you're in the middle of a keystone, so then I just had to get one.
@@bekskittehremdog6427 I wish I had other peoples luck with this farm, I've heard of people having like 5 or 6 or more already. @_@ lol So much gold waiting to be earned!
I know, the fact you can't use fortune cookies mid-key is ridiculous since it counts as 'looting' an item. >_> It's the only reason I even farmed this thing out because I didn't want to make feasts when these are so much cheaper.

Yeah I have had amazing luck with the fish heads/fishes, I can get all my characters done in just 2 or 3 soup events with it.^^
I managed to loot like 3 of these and sell them off before i found out they dont count toward the embellishment count.... big oof
