Third year in a row where the Dodgers, starting rotation is not healthy. However, you are correct. This rotation is much better than last year’s. The offense is significantly better than before. And the bullpen is deeper.
Tigers are being overlooked a bit imo. I get they're young and don't have the usual rotation setup but they're the ALs version of the Mets right now. They got hot at the right time an I think that'll give them a shot at at least making it past the Astros.
I think The Tigers get to the ALCS. I think that's were the train stops though for them. If they can bring in 1 or 2 big time bats they could be legit WS contenders next year.
Tigers fan here. If the Dodgers make the WS, whoever plays them will automatically have the advantage because it won't be just X team VS LA. It will be X team and Dave Robert's VS LA.
Frankly, I don't get why the Dodgers are the odds favorites. I think they can win, but their margin for error is much lower with the way their pitching is banged up, and even with Miggy and Freddie being banged up.
The Dodgers pitching is not as banged up as it appears at first glance...they've got 3-4 serviceable starters and their bullpen will be completely rested and ready to cover 4-5 innings a game next weekend. The anomaly that was Freddie and Mookie going a combined 1 for 21 is likely not a repeatable moment; I think people forget just how lights out the D'backs starters were last year. And then there is the Ohtani factor...I have yet to see that guy held down in absolutely huge moments...the WBC, the walk-off grand slam for 40/40 and the 6 for 6 for 50/50 and a postseason clinch. Back to back player of the week awards to end the season. He stole 59 bases and was only caught 4 times! Maybe the bye week will affect him, but the dude is just relentless. I don't know what laboratory created him, but my God, him setting the table for Mookie, Freddie, Teoscar, Muncy, Will Smith, and then the role players...I don't care who is the opposing starter, that is a rough way to begin a game and even worse to think of getting to them two times through the lineup. The Padres needed a triple-play (!) to beat them last week and then got shoved the next two games.
The offense is the definite strength and then the bullpen matches fairly well with the Padres, even though they did outperform in last week's series 1 run to 7 runs over 3 games. It just surprises me that Vegas odds have Dodgers as the favorites while most people who cover baseball have the Padres over them. I mean hell, even if we don't have Freddie or Miggy Ro being able to play a full game, Kike has been heating up a lot in the final two series. When he came in for Freddie he was 2-2 and feasted on some taste Colorado pitching. Pages showing he can destroy mistake pitches too. So the bench bats have looked good too. It hinges on if they can get the starters out early for the Padres and if their starters can limit the damage. And I think if they get through them, it'll open the floodgates. I personally think that matchup (if it happens) would be the top 2 teams in baseball matchup.
Tigers have the element of surprise in their favor. The lack of starting pitching has worked in and their favor and opponents don't know what to expect. Youngest team in baseball and they are playing loose right now. They fear no one!
Small market teams do not get people to watch. Last year was the worst watched WS of all time. They need a real WS with teams people like. I would be willing to bet Manfred would give anything for Yankees Dodgers, Yankees Phils or even Yankees Mets.
Completely agree. Small market teams had their fun last year. This year we get 2 heavyweights. Whether that be the Dodgers or Phillies going against either of the Yankees or Astros in the World Series.
i know some of these dudes on the panel wager on MLB (and possibly other sports), having said that being a NFL wager(er) i know that just because a team looks excellent on paper does NOT mean they will win. i'm gonna keep picking against the dodgers until they can prove they can win a series.
I think AJ plays it so tough and tries to bully nerds like Jomboy and Heyman is cause he had a homosexual experience in his life hes ashamed of. What’d you do AJ? You played doctor with your best friend growing up? Ever had your s*** pushed in? 😂🤣😭
Kratz looks really smart!
This ain't aging well 😂😂
Dodgers pitching is in better shape this season as compared to last entering the postseason.

Agreed!
@rupertpupkin2660 here we are with them leading 2-1
Go Dodgers!
Yeah. Go Dodgers. There’s currently 17 likes on your comment. Ima leave it there for Shohei.
Phillies, Yankees in series with Philly winning.

Yankees vs. Dodgers.
The true fact is that it's only a prediction, the experts are not always right, it's all subjective.
Haha the spring training homer bit was hilarious “HEY HEY THEY CUT ME BEFORE THE SEASON, I COULD’VE PICKED THEM TO WIN”

9:38 AJ is spot on with what he has said. so far it’s been an even series with pitch and be taxed
San Diego Padres vs New York Yankees. Pads take it in 6. That's my prediction and I'm sticking to it.
Kratz was the only one to pick the Tigers over the Astros?? How come he's so much smarter than the rest of you guys??? :D
Scott nailed it with the tigers winning tonight, still to see if they win the series
AL Central had a day!
Go Padres!!
Padres Guardians in battle of bullpens and contact hitters.
GO GETTEM TIGERS!
Eric Kratz knows ball

Scott knows ball. Let's go KC!

These are not predictions, they are opinions. Period.
AJ wrong 3 second's into the video wow 😂.... Houston
Kratz better had parlay tigers and royals
Scott riding the Astros 👎
Hate the Puds but they’re steamrolling every team.
Welp....Guess ya won't have a difficult time imagining the Astros not being in the WS now, huh?? :v
Framber did not deal, Skubal did though. Tigers up 1-0
I have no faith in my Dodgers. I’ll be mildly surprised if they get to NLCS.
Krats looks like a genius
whoever is in charge of spell checking, hire someone else
lol
Has Kratz played on every mlb team?😂
Yep. He even played on your mom's team.
I think Dodgers have better chance to beat Philies than they do Padres.

from hater to bandwagon? no no no we will trow you off head 1st
This did not age well
Philadelphia ans San Diego will have a rematch pads taking them out in game 5
Does anyone else find Prazinski just generally annoying 😆
Astros lose!!!!
