Started late but this is really good information! This is so helpful for those feeling discouraged and lamenting they’re not as successful as those who boast on YT about their earnings (that’d be me! Lol!) I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again - you are a natural born teacher and I adore your personality! Another channel I really like is Crafty Stax and Zen Watercolor (same person). He calls himself a designer, not an artist, but there’s still great information on there. I’ll check out the channels you recommended in this. I’ve stepped back from trying to earn money, and just create what I like. Still not brave enough to try to sell my drawings and paintings, so I guess I’m not truly an artist. Recently though I drew a kitten and uploaded it, then “painted” it in my version of polygon art style. I then used different filters to change the look of that design. I like it. So now I’m doing what I like, and hey, if the shop never takes off, at least I’m flexing my creativity muscle and doing what I enjoy. Thanks for sharing so much with us!!! You are Awesome Sauce!! ❤️

IMO you so do not ever have to sell one single piece of art to be truly an artist. I believe being an artist is not at all about making money but rather about a mindset and creating art. It is said that VanGoghs paintings were never bought by anyine besides hus brother until l after his death yet we would never say he wasn't truly an artist.

Such a good video, Mey! You mentioned ending up on mailing lists and then being bombarded by emails. When you said that, I couldn't help but think of the mother/daughter duo whom give advice about Zazzle. They send out about 2-4 emails a day promoting their $4K coaching program. I think it takes a high level of greed to first claim they've made $1.5 million on Zazzle to then hammer their email list every day to promote their expensive program.

Actually Jen and Elke Clarke (the mother daughter team you are talking about) are well worth what they charge. I cannot afford their year long Profit by Design Academy at this time in my life but very much want to do it some day. In the meantime though, I have taken some of their other courses and gotten small group training - just four people in our class - on Zoom where we could ask either of them anything we wanted including for individual critiques of our work - and they are the real deal. Yes, it is true that at certain times (such as right before a new PDA is going to close enrollment) they do bombard you with email but they also offering incredibly in depth training including personalized coaching for a year and a community of others to work with. I don't know of anyone else who offers that. Their courses are not easy. They give you a lot of work to do but if you are serious and willing to work hard on an ongoing basis, you will see results. They are also always very careful to say that they cannot promise that you will make X amount of dollars if you take their courses.

So true! One RUclipsr I follow had a video titled something like Big PERSONAL NEWS and it turned out they had just updated their online course (which had already been announced anyway). I have the feeling that’s a trope because people get kind of attached to their favorite RUclipsrs and the algorithm reflects that by valuing anything that seems “personal” more highly (because it’s going to generate more clicks).

    • @gingersnaps4194
      @gingersnaps4194 2 года назад

And for viewers, I imagine part of watching those type videos despite their gut instinct is “fear of missing out,” in the off chance they do say something valuable. Once you catch onto them though, it becomes easier to roll your eyes and close the video. I support people who earn money as a residual effect of and in concert with that integrity, but not those who just throw content together with the sole aim of bilking people. They’re swindlers and they should be ashamed.

Honestly, those personal news videos, unless tagged very differently, don't get much from the algorithm, as RUclips would prioritize videos within the niche of the channel.. But people sure do click on them when they are placed in front of them.

I watch tons of these videos. And I'm smart enough to know that every video could be lies, truth, stretches of truth, etc. People lie. I just try to take some knowledge from them.
Now, I think you are the only person that I've ever heard that love their job so much and got paid great and was treated so well. Where I've work in the US had never been like that. I've worked since I was 15 and I'm 62 now. The place I work right now has fights and people crying almost everyday. People getting fired for no reason but someone complaining about them.
All I want is to be able to live when I retired. I can't live off my ssn. Its not enough. So I opened a redbubble shop a couple months ago. I have 150 designs. Various things. I keep adding almost daily. And I hope that it takes off. I have opened a shop in tee public too. I'm starting to share on Instagram and Pinterest.
I don't know what else I can do but I hope I can make money to add to my retirement so I can make it. Although I would like to be able to do more than just make it.

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  2 года назад +1

By far, your first sentence, is the best approach to anything online... :)
I loved my jobs in IT and Media. Also a bit before, when I was a bartender.
I think it was also me, knowing I have to work, so trying to see the good in it, And I know not everyone has that.
I have had jobs that went from fairytale to horror-story, and I walked out of them. Financially often took a loan to walk out of them- to prioritize happiness over employment. I think my story in the job market is a bit crazy, now that I look back at it.
But it wasn't always gold. At the end of the day, in 2015, I could no longer have a normal job due to my PTSD,FMS and other conditions being worse... So i had to try and make it as a freelancer, and often I did feel inside the rat race.
I Know a LOT of people hate their jobs, living paycheck to paycheck, and I hope you don't think I disrespected that in anyway.
I just thought it's also important to bring out the other side of the rat race, and maybe I didn't talk about it as much... The part in which I set up my business from a hospital bed, severely worried I will be able to pay for rent, for food, or for that 5th ambulance I had taken within 1 month.
My first years as a freelancer were a crazy rat race, so much I moved to Romania for few months, and Thailand for few months- just to be able to pay for food.
I am sorry to hear about your workplace environment, it makes me so angry cause I know how it feels. I have left 3 jobs due to cursing in the workplace, that started after months of golden treatment and a high and love all around. And it is so painful to face that day in and day out, that i always ended up moving on and not looking back. Maybe I was blessed for that option - because I was smack in the middle of the media and IT scene in Israel that was ever growing and always needed more people.
RedBubble is a great way to start with POD, mostly cause you have that super instant access to upload to so many types of products and see what works best for you. However, it's a hard platform to stand out in, unless you design that one thing that the algorithm picks up, or do really targeted marketing yourself.
May I ask your style of designs? Maybe another platform could also fit you.
Eventually I think that POD can be really worth it- and I have seen it succeed for people who had their own shops, their own platform, and not on a big marketplace where even if you bring in your traffic- that person could easily place an order with another designer without even realizing it.
By the way, I also get social security. Started in 2017, and in harsh times that I couldn't work much, that social security payment, while thankfully keeping a very bad roof over my head, didn't allow me to get things like food or medicine.
I do think it's often sad that we pay to a country to later not really take care of us, but it is what it is ? (maybe my mind gave up on my own country to help me, which was a hard realization as they were the ones who "broke" me., PTSD and all).
I do think that it's so awesome that you can do what you do and TRY, I have heard people far younger stating there nothing new they can learn and it is what it is. So with all my heart- I give you a special hug, as it's my birthday so god blesses my hugs today

Honest truth I know nothing about online jobs, I'm not a designer but I try to look for guidance here and I'm pissed to the core at the same time sad cause some of us are not financially stable but they'll ask for a ton of money, been used for clickbait sucks. I'm even broken that I asked my dad for money to pay for a course that costs so much just so I can earn. SMH the two RUclipsrs you mentioned I subscribed to their channel. I was talking to Miso and my aunt here after this video about my whole experience with therapy... At the end of a session the therapist tells you what to do till next time. I think i took that, unknowingly, into some of my videos, by ending them with a task- go design, go upload, go explore marketing... But I have noticed many RUclipsrs always ending a video with - now go watch this video... Which is GREAT for the RUclips algorithm, and less great for people who actually wanna do something.
It's one of the reasons I love Juna's channel so much, he wrap things off often with go and design this, go try this, instead of go watch another one of my videos.
I am happy you found out that fact and noticed it in your own self, as a lot of people take years to realize that they are "super motivated to take action" yet haven't taken any action other than seeing the next video.

I’m only a quarter way through , but the concepts your discussing are why I’ll bother to hit save for later and watch the rest when I have time.
I’m 50 and I’ve seen enough in life to know pretty quickly when someone is full of it and wasting my time, or if it’s just not the channel for me. This channel does not waste my time.
There is a consistent pattern I’ve seen throughout my life and it’s not just on RUclips . The scammers have been around for hundreds of years, either selling fake medicine, or teaching you how to flip houses, or making $$ and quitting your day job. They basically ride the fads, teach others how to do it, and move onto the next thing.
I watch channels where the creators enjoy what they are doing. Are humble and have no issue talking about their honest opinions, and who don’t have a hard sell. They enjoy their community, engage with them, and are getting that benefit of learning through teaching.
You pay attention to detail, care about the quality of your work, and care about the content you produce. I could tell right away you’d be a great channel to watch and I haven’t been disappointed.

That is so refreshing and appreciated, finally someone honest with principles and sticking to it! Thank you very much for this. I have a similar frustration as a web developper seing agencies selling websites by packages, pre-mades websites that are actually poorly made but sold at a very high prices. The clients (not knowing how a website is made) pays and then, they have plenty of bugs and have to start over again. I hate seing companies taking advantage on naive clients, offering bad quality, at high price, for a website not even adapted for the client. Anyway, now that I want to finally go on with my P.O.D. ideas (it’s been on my mind for years), I have watched a LOT of videos on youtube for POD, KDP, etc. They often say the same things, and rarely they will tell you which of the POD sites you have to pay some money until the person pays for your product, but it’s important to know, because not all POD sites works the same way. They say no fees upfront but for some you actually do have to cover the fees for a while. And it’s true that they often lie about the delivery time. You spoke about keywords and how we should not focus as much on this, I was wondering what were your thoughts on Helium10? I am sure youtubers are paid to promote this company since they all talk about it. Did you test it? Anyway, just wanted to thank you for all your very inspiring videos, and thank you for your honesty, it’s pretty rare right now!

I've tried a few things to enable me to be able to work from home while I raise my baby so my husband does not have all the financial pressure on him. I've been feeling a lot like a failure lately and alot of what you said really made sense. I know I can still run a legitimate business from home but not be so hard on myself. Thank you so much for this video. I was lucky over the months to spot some of the folks who I guess are click baiters who love to show you a thumbnail promising something that will change your designing life but in the end just talk for 15 minutes and never give you anything even close to what is promised. I have happily not made the error of purchasing any of the "courses" though I have looked on Skillshare and others for pro courses. In all honesty I learn more from you (I have gone back to last years videos to learn to do things for upcoming quarter 4) and one or two other dedicated youtubers (Brian, Zen, Lisa) and I take all other youtubers with a grain of salt just hoping to maybe get a little nugget here or there. Hi Mey, so lovely to see you after your break - quick question. I did an "income" video on my channel so that newbie writers could see that it was possible to make a healthy income writing fiction and selling the books on KDP - I didn't want it looking scammy or click baity so I typed in the web address on screen and took my viewer through how I found the numbers and what they were. But I didn't know a thing about that hack you showed on your screen (I was like "Wow, lol"). When you refresh that page that you adapted, does it go back to the original numbers that were on there? My numbers were legit, but I wondered if there were tips on how I could show that, without people thinking they could be changed in the code lines of the web page. Thanks and keep going with what you're doing. Looking forward to your KDP video too - hugs.

Actually, I earn enough, so I am wanting to expand my skills using some of the software that others use, so I am here, looking and listening. You just earned a subscriber for life! I have been making money online for the last 13 years. I have done multiple different business models. Lately I’ve been looking to expand and have more passive income streams.
While researching this has been my biggest pet peeve on here. It’s not just in the POD community either. Affiliate Marketing or Crypto for example, so many of these RUclipsrs are getting their views but click baiting people in that are desperate to learn how to make money online, but they don’t know any better that what these guys are teaching them does not work. It’s bogus. So these people looking for answers are instead wasting their time and energy while the RUclipsrs continue to make a fat check lying and being deceitful.
I made an entire list of the crap I personally experienced and have been in the process of creating my own channel to teach people how to spot these bogus RUclips channels and stop wasting their precious time and how to actually start generating an online income with $0 start up costs. It’s so refreshing to see someone else see the crap these guys are pulling and call them out on it!
Thank you for staying true and honest to your viewers and not giving in to the temptation of making more $. I wish you much success in all of your future endeavors!

Hello Mey, and welcome back! Well, what can I say? This video has come at just the right time for me. I have had to take a few weeks away from 'work' because to be honest, it was all getting a bit much for me. I was working so many hours a day on my business, yet seemed to get nothing productive done! In the end my anxiety etc flared up again so I just had to step back for a while and regroup. I even had to stop watching RUclips videos to do with POD, Etsy etc because I was sick and tired of a lot of the b******t! So, I am back working on my business now and am concentrating on one platform, one niche at the moment. I still have a crazy amount of ideas going on in my brain in different niches and will have to figure out a way to do something with them. Oh an idea! Would you make a video on how you keep organised? I am assuming with each different niche I would need separate shops on my chosen platform, which will need new email addresses ( how to keep track of all that info!!) Also wouldn't each niche need its own Pinterest account too? Again more juggling! Great video too and happy belated birthday 🙂

I know Mey has talked about the importance of marketing, but I’m with you. I want to do the art, the rest from writing the listings to making mock-ups to the marketing side feels like such drudgery! Plus it takes so much time! I know it’s important to shelf that bad attitude, but it’s hard for me. I’m not on any social media because of the negativity of the world, and I’ve been much more at peace since I closed my SM accounts years ago, but I understand it’s a necessary evil. I know customers aren’t going to find me, it’s the other way around. And bills, damn the bills!!! But how to shift that negative thinking associated with marketing, especially on social media! Maybe Mey will do a whole video just on this topic? She’s got a healthy attitude about the whole shebang from creating to listing and mock-ups to marketing. Whatever she’s doing in guiding her attitude, it’s working. I mostly draw and do acrylic painting btw, and am teaching myself to use my digital drawing pad. In my shop so far are just graphic designs, not my artwork for the most part, so I also need to step it up. Hope your foot mends well and quickly!

And hey- poetry could be awesome for trying out KDP, you def have an advantage on other poets when you know graphic design.
I also started my business when I could no longer work, so i feel you on that... It's the crappiest feeling, but also crazy motivating at times, when you have no choice !!! Social media can be super hard... Though I know many artists who managed to crack down selling their art when they started RUclips- showing their process, their home, their creations. I myself watch these videos to get inspiration and hopefully the courage to face that much paint in my house LOL
I kinda had this vision in my head of you making a video of creating a liquid art painting, while reading a poem in the background... Don't know why LOL

@@gingersnaps4194 I know how you feel. I talked about marketing being important, yes, but I also mentioned I hate it LOL
And social media can be a hole without a pit.
I remembered when I was dealing with FMS for the first time, I entered support groups for FMS on Facebook. I wanted to share, you know "Hey I had a good day" I wanted to see other do it on days in which I was feeling so low. I wanted to share food-tips, tips on how to deal with negative people, but all everyone wanted to do in these groups is have their own pity party.
The opposite with digital nomad groups- i wanted to share in the struggles of this lifestyle, while other people just wanted to share their 1 happy minute pretending it was a happy month.
Bills are bad. I know. for me, one of the things that enabled me to focus on art and on this channel was that I simply moved to a country where my money was actually worth something !!
I think Pinterest is a great marketing platform, as you're not exposed, out there, no "socializing" it's just a huge google board of photos. I was thinking of doing a video about how to do marketing when you hate social media LOL Maybe that should take priority in July.
What software are you using on your tablet? And you can try and do that social media here on RUclips, same comment I gave to the person you're commenting to, by sharing tutorials on how to draw, reviewing different drawing tools. Honestly ? You'd be surprised how these things can end up being awesome. One of my first ideas was to make a channel about coloring pages, as I know people who make so much money from that, while basically being paid for coloring, how brilliant is that?
Anyway, digressing here... Thanks for watching, and I really hope to hear you're starting to upload your own art online, at least lets all make money from something we actually care about.

was watching late or I would have put this in chat. When you described the job you had that was amazing. I can tell you why escaping the rat race videos are so popular, because in America most jobs suck. I have worked at the same place for 17+ years, the people suck (they smile at you and stab you in the back), the pay is barely enough to live on, disrespect is the norm, there is no advancement, and in general it sucks. Want to know the kicker? This is considered a "good" job! Its above minimum wage, has air conditioning, benefits, etc. I hate my job. So yes I have watched many of those RUclipsrs, because I am desperate for an escape, I imagine many people feel the same and that is why they are popular. Jobs like you described, if any of them actually exist in this country they will only go to rich and mostly white people.

I don't think it's just in the USA. I know plenty of unhappy people in Israel, and in any country, hating their jobs. For me, i loved bartending, selling anything in a shop, and when my back couldn't take it anymore I just started learning whatever I can to help me work in an office, and in the Media and IT industries- salaries are amazing. It wasn't always perfect, but because of that growing scene of IT and Media, I was so lucky to leave a job I hated, a job that went from gold to "I don't wanna go to work" and get hired that same day. Until I got too sick to be employed in 2015, and officially entered the rat race as a freelancer.
I know not everyone has this experience, and I hope you don't think I disrespected anyone by saying this,.. I think my point was just to share that rat race isn't a 9-5 job, there are so many business owners in a rat race. A lot of people have it better than they think before quitting their job, taking a loan for some course that wasn't worth it, and realizing that now it's even worse.
I understand that desperate feeling. I do. But I feel like people are brainwashed into "this is how to make money" when in fact there are so many other ways to get some side income, while doing something you like.
May I ask... What is a hobby of yours? what is a topic you love?
I wanna do a video about how to monetize a hobby, and would love for it to be as beneficial to you guys as possible

@@MeyTribe I didn't mean its just in the US but that its especially bad here. Our politicians have made it a corporate state, so companies feel emboldened to abuse workers. We have also developed this weird mentality that its ok to be abused as long as its worse somewhere else. I'm thinking about starting my own RUclips channel to fight against the insane brainwashing that happens sooo much here. I don't think you were disrespectful at all, but I do think the 9-5 job is a rat race, you spend your days at work your nights preparing for work and your weekends on your side hustle. There is no rest, no retirement and no way to get ahead. When you are constantly 1 step away from losing everything every day for sooo many years (well all my life) it just gets old.
I'd just like to be an artist and still have a roof over my head and food to eat, I've been wanting that for 40 plus years. Not saying I have any artistic skill. I never had the opportunity to learn most of it. I'm semi good at photography and design and I'm excellent at sarcasm. I'm a pretty decent writer.
I don't know if you have discovered Sarah Crisp aka wholesale Ted yet, and she is probably full of **** but the thing she says that resonates hard with me is, its not about money its about time. I'll try every side hustle in existence because the one thing I want is the time to actually live before I die. Sorry that got really dark and deep. I have a problem with excess honesty always gets me in trouble but eff it. PS aging is a b****, I'm gonna go play with my dogs now, dogs rule.

I have friends in Israel still fighting the government for the right to have psychiatric care for their Army trauma- a trauma they are not legally allowed to share with a civilian therapist. Last year, a friend of mine light himself on fire after being denied again- mental treatment. I have stopped fighting them after 8 years, and just left. Not everyone has that option, I know.
It's also bad here for locals, paying the same gas prices as in the USA, even more, and living from 320$ a month, as that is the minimum here. And not everyone even get that.
I know it's bad... But exiting a rat race into another one is what most of these courses are really selling, and that just made me so angry that, well, I made a video on that LOL.
I hope that you, me, everyone, will find a way to remove themselves from bad work environments, and find joy, in whatever we do. Have a roof, have food, have a bit of comfort.

Wow - I have said this, too. There is one channel, Heather X Studios, and the lady that claims to have earned more than $400,000 in two years on Etsy has a total of 10 sales in her Etsy store. When I sent her an email asking it she had another store and to please send a link - all I heard was the sound of crickets. I also posted this multiple times on her channel. How scary is it to think that people are buying courses from people like this, number one, and number two, they are not even checking out these people !!????She is one those people selling courses. People believe whatever they want to believe. There are people making a lot of money selling tshirts but they are too busy doing so to have to offer "courses." I learned in life that people who are the biggest BS'rs are the ones who make a lot of money. Some people just can't willingly lie to others. Then there are people who have absolutely no problem with it. The "work from home" channels by and large are also a scam. Or they tell people they can make $100,000 a year without a degree and those are advanced coding and programming jobs. It's just unbelievable.

I think there's a part of me that wants to believe that this girl maybe has another shop that she's just not showing cause she doesn't want anyone copying her ?? LOL
Re- the 100$k without a degree... I'd have to say that I know many people who make that amount without having a degree...
If you're an artist, grown into your style, teaching cool techniques, selling your stuff...
People who learned marketing by employment and actively trying it...
I mean, you have plenty of talented people who make a lot of money- having learned a valuable skill without a degree...
One example out the top of my head, a friend that I met in Bansko, learned wordpress on their own, started by making websites for clients super cheap, gathered experience, went to conferences, learned more and more skills, built websites for much higher prices, and 10 years after- teaching people who to build websites - that person doesn't have a degree- but they have an actual skill that they have learned over a decade...
(Just a small comment from me, someone who never went to uni since I never had time or money, having worked 10-12 hours a day, and on my "spare time" learned things online)

I can bet we get more out of what you teach us about Zazzle, for free, than the two women selling a course for 6k, on YT, saying they have made 1.5 million dollars, on Zazzle. Stay true to yourself Mey. I am going to check out the channels you had mentioned, in this video. This could actually make for a fun monthly series..."Scammer of the month." 😂😂 I watch a few people, but most are just out here scamming. I love Juna and Zen Watercooler/Crafty Stax and you. These are my three go to channels. I just ran across another guy too, who seems to be an open book, sort of like you, but I can't remember the name of his channel, until it pops up in my YT recommended feed. 🤦🤷 I use Ibis Paint, and it is similar to Procreate, but it is free (you just have to watch a 30 second ad to unlock all the brushes, and they have most of the same brushes, just named differently). I love it. I am going to get procreate, though, because there aren't as many tutorials about Ibis Paint, it is mostly used by people who draw Anime. Thanks for this awesome video. I am going to go back through some of your older videos, again. You are a natural at teaching and your personality is awesome.

Meyo, thanks for this, you don't hold back, there are many here that are doing this, and it's good, to name and shame them. I have been looking into the affiliate marketing methods and have found the same there, I have tried redbubble, and have had my account suspended, I was using simple public domain images and adding text, so I don't know what I did wrong, but they do not tell you, so that is it. Keep it up, and this is good content, and makes people more aware before they pay for something that is just, of little or no use.

At first thank you for all the info you shared with us in this video! Then: Before coming to your channel I actually found and subscribed to the two women who are mentioned here, because I had the impression that for the first time I found some substantial information about how to work on Zazzle. However, after a while I found out that the titles of their videos and podcasts promised more than what they actually offered as content. Obviously they use their RUclips channel in order to get clients for their Academy. So I was disappointed. Fortunately I found your channel, and I am very pleased with your honest and down to earth style and the information you provide! Thanks again!

there is sooooo much false information online, there is nothing easy about making money online, it takes so much work and effort to see your first results. Blogging for example, it took me so long to see my first $1, most people give up before that point and I did before aswell. But once I actually started blogging about what I loved it didn't feel like work and it was easier to keep my head down and push on. I am starting from scratch again now in the same niche and while it is hard to start over it will be worth it in the long run and I'm loving it.

Ohhhh I suck at getting back to comments LOL
And yeah, the online world has so many lies spread about making money online, making people think it's soooo easy !!
I hate the most the RUclipsrs who tell people to quit their jobs now, take a loan to afford that RUclipsr's course, and "live the best life" whatever...
Starting from scratch is shit... BUT- it's also so cleansing, you have a different focus... i am "restarting" a lot of my POD shops on several marketplaces, to include the things I am now better at doing.
      I wish us both luck

A typical Bulgarian manner is when they force you to do something do the opposite you will be most of the time right and successful. I don't know why but for me works all the time and if they are selling something "great and awesome that will do all the work for me" I run like a beaten dog. My 2 years of experience went through such tubers like the ones you spokeabout in this video, to the small tubers which actually give you the real value and tons of reading material and tausend of viewed designs that actually sell, and I found that the absolute best thing to do is to create your own style mixed with tiny little bits of what works. Van Gogh is not popular because when made copies of Mone for example.

Bravo Mey! It's amazing how money talks. I never trust reviews on products anymore because people get things for free and say how amazing the product is. *rolls eyes* A product is not so bad when it's free and you don't spend your hard earned money on it. Same thing here, vloggers are saying how great a platform is because they were bribed.

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  2 года назад +1

Getting something for free doesn't mean the person wouldn't say their own opinion.
I mean, i got these horrible shoes from ThisNew for free, and other items that I said were not so good... Though it seems like a lot of people are just raving about quality, even when quality isn't there. But I get it... I often like better making videos on printful cause I pay for the items myself :) But I don't want you to think that all vloggers out there are fake, some good ones out there too...
      :)

@@MeyTribe I absolutely agree with you. I watch vloggers who are good about reviews. I am sorry if it came off that I don't trust any vlogger. This is not the case. Being a vlogger is hard work and I am thankful there are ways for them to get paid. 😊

I'm also a James Jani fan too - his videos are pretty much broadcast TV quality! BTW Don't wear that teeshirt in public if you visit us in the UK, as you could be arrested for offensive language. I haven’t even got half way through this video and I love the honesty you have and calling ppl , sites etc. on their bs.
The info u talk about does not surprise me one bit.
What is sad though is that there is so many people that falls for the dumbest advise that you can get On Facebook, RUclips ,websites etc. if it sounds too good to be true 95% of the time it’s because it’s just simply not true. another thing is sad that everybody wants to make a quick buck and will lie to you and do anything to get you sucked in.

  • @TrevorAngel

People are gullible, it's human nature and they're taken advantage of, sadly. I think the problem lies with RUclips. Ads on the TV (which are just short videos) are controlled by legislation to be ethical and honest, etc - those same TV ads can advertise on a YT video that gets huge traction from a dishonest video - hopefully one day YT will find a way to change this but let's not hold our breath! Another great video Mey!

Awesome information. I fell for one of those things a few years ago from a supposed Zazzle know it all. I took her $1k plus class even though I couldn't afford it and it didn't work but she told me for more help I could purchase more of her classes and private coaching. Lol like I would give her more money.

I dare to say i know who was on the other end of that money...
I saw they were making some videos "about" zazzle, more like talking about how much money they make without an actual tutorial.
That is what sparked the Zazzle series, I just thought that this VERY basic info should be free, and not something that is so deceptive and exclusive.

Hello, I found your vid on art sizes super helpful. Do you think you could do one on printing in RGB vs CMYK? I've read conflicting things.

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  2 года назад

Honestly? I got conflicting info as well... But for me it all comes down to testing. I ONLY do RGB, coming from the web-world, and mostly I found that i get awesome results with product printing... The video I did about Awkward styles wall art (ruclips.net/video/z0GcRuD_XK4/видео.html) I was shocked to see how vivid the colors were, I would have not gotten this vividness with CMYK...
However, ordering socks from RB (ruclips.net/video/K-ydxd-C9TI/видео.html) the designer made then in RGB which was clearly not right for them, not to mention these socks were terrible regardless of any print.
InPRNT- uploaded RGB with amazing results, same with S6 merch, for the most part.
What platforms are you interested in displaying in?
You can try and check out more product reviews I did, ALL were made with RGB, and see the quality yourself
